I'm from Barcelona, and here we ate rice with things ("risotto" for the italian cousins) very, very often. And your rice whet my appetite. And I've just eaten dinner :^) Very relaxing and peaceful videos, Pat. And beatiful; your land is an enchanting corner of the earth. Thank you for them. Kind regards. Joan
Hi Joan, rice is so adaptable you can use it in so many dishes, I have eaten your Spanish Paella on holiday and it makes a fantastic meal with all the seafood you have, thanks for watching and commenting Pat
Your videos have been so helpful for my trip to peak district.it was surreal seeing all the views from your videos .I enjoyed seeing Sheffield from owler bar and I saw drac power station.just got back today .look FWD to visiting your great city and countryside again
He's a bit more down to earth than the usual backpacking videos, which seem to be all about shaving half an ounce off your pack weight for the Appalachian Trail
Hi Fergus, only the best for one on my wild camps, the prices were not too bad as mussels were £1-50 and salmon about £3-00 both from Aldi, makes a camp more interesting , all the best Pat
Tom Monaghan yes don,t know where all the food goes, must be very inefficient as I have to pile a load of food in to keep going, where as some people have one meal and a few snacks.thanks Pat
Love the story about the fishing trip with no tackle, just beer 😂 Great that you’ve been doing that with work colleagues for 25+ years, must have been a great working environment where you all got along as good friends, not many workplaces are like that these days it seems. Thanks for another fantastic camp, Pat.
Really enjoyed this video. In fact, I've enjoyed every single one so far, and each one has taught me something new as a novice wild camper. I'm not far from Sheffield and I'm hoping I'll bump into you out on the hills one day! Keep them coming, Pat!
Hi glad you enjoyed video I really like this this camp as I had not been out camping for several weeks, may bump into you one day and say hello, all the best Pat
Nice to see you out again Pat.you certainly don't mess about where the camp snap is concerned mate i take mi hat off to you,did the rest of the cheesecake get polished off with the late night brew lol...loved the night time shots of Sheffield some good photos there.looking forward to some snow myself this year up in the Peak District...another good un Pat & looking forward to the winter camps..ATB Andy.
Hi Andrew, yes it was great to be out wild camping again, struggled with the cheese cake but ate most of it eventually, work on the fact the more I eat the longer it will keep me warm, all the best Pat
Patrick you certainly know how to cook a meal in the hills. You can come hiking with me any time and cook. Wonderful...can smell it from here. Well, it's nice to run over old stories and trips. Longtime friendships are priceless.. Until next time all the best. Mark.
Hi Mark, yes cooking a nice filling meal with limited gear in the middle of no-ware is all part of the challenge of wild camping. You hit the nail on the head, long time friendships are so important and priceless, some of my best friend I,ve known for over 40 years. All the best for now, Pat
Patrick Dickinson Yeah I agree...cooking in the open space sure is what life's made of and as for friendships I to have friendships going back many many years. Love em. Have a great week. Mark.
Great video patrick, we went up ringinglow and stanage edge today and there was plenty of snow about this morning and not too windy either so potentially good winter camping conditions - look forward to seeing more of your videos. all the best arun :)
Hi yes Ringinglow and Stanage usually catch the early snow, just hoping I will be free to camp when it does arrive and hopefully stays about for a while, lovely up there, thanks for watching Pat
Hi Mick and thanks for kind comments, thinking about new video now where to camp or possible theme, or might it snow we will have to see all the best Pat
Hi Patrick. Good to see you out again. amazing its 2 months since your last trip! Its extra good to get out the longer you leave it isn't it - but its not for the lack of trying to get out more. Finally got my first wild camp done and on film but learnt a lot of how not to do things for next time. I'm like you with food and its part of the fun. I tried a chicken tika masala first time out but being a first camp it was a bit of a clunky attempt. Will be more organised next time.. so next time will be a winter camp then. Will have to brush up on the gear and the keeping warm tips from your previous video. Hope we get some snow! Till your next video then.. Stephen.
hi stephen glad to hear done on film, quite a lot to it setting cameras up not messing your words, trying to get that perfect bit of film, but all part of the fun. sometimes the day just flies by and its because I have spent so long filming and then when you edit your film lots of it are not used. Anyway hope everything worked out OK, winters not far off, all the best Pat
Well I never I had I pint in the Norfolk on Saturday after we went up higger tor. I'm absolutely loving your videos thank you very much for sharing your peace and quiet with the world Patrick.
Hi there nice pub the Norfolk arms, that Moonshine is a beautiful pint, its also a great area to walk and camp, should have a new video out next couple of days, you will probably recognise the area, all the best Pat
I couldn't have walked past the awesome pub without having a pint, camping or no camping ;) I'd camp with you anytime, you know how to eat well on the trail my friend. Way to go.
Hi there, yep difficult to walk past a pub but they wrap themselves round you with warmth and don,t let you out till its too late ,so as I needed to get my camp set up had to give it a miss, I had all that food to look forward to and a great camp as well, thanks for comments and watching Pat
I'm loving your videos, Patrick! Only discovered you a couple of days ago, but have watched lots of them already. I'm an artist so I have you on in the background on my laptop while I work, and it's so interesting listening to you talking about the areas you visit, your cooking, camping equipment etc. I'm heading to the Peak District at the end of next week for a walking holiday - it's one of my favourite places in the country. I love it! So much wild beauty all around. Thank you for making and posting these videos; you do a great job! All the best, Natasha
Hi Natasha, the Peak District has some beautiful countryside although its a bit wild and windy at the moment, hopefully it may of calmed down a bit for your holiday. Although mainly wild camping try to vary my videos with different interest, Megatron in particular was a awesome place to explore, hoping to have another video of this place out soon, would certainly be a challenge to use your creative skills down there. Thanks for your comments much appreciated, Pat
I’ve had a really tiring and stressful couple of days, but now I can finally get to bed and put it all behind me. So I thought I’d put the cherry on the cake and relax with your video. Wise decision, it has really calmed me. I love your videos, keep ‘em comin’!
Great trip! Your shots of Sheffield at night are stunning. The ones with your tent in the fore ground show a really good contrast between city and countryside.
Danielle Britton Hi Danielle, the city at night is not as bright as it used to be due to all the sodium lights being replaced with LED,s. When there were sodium lights the city looked on fire like it would of liked in the 1940, blitz. Thanks for comments and watching Pat
Fantastic pat I live in Bridgnorth and I fish the Severn all the time it's just fantastic plus I like to do a lot of wild camping love all your videos pay thank you mate 👍👍
Hi Shane we had some great fishing trips at Bridgenorth about 15 to 20 years ago stayed on the Riverside Caravan site until they pulled the toilet block down. Pubs at Lower and Uppertown were nice as well. Those barbell really fought for a good 10-15 mins must be a right size now we regularly caught 5-6 lb fish, happy days thanks for comments and watching Pat
Thanks for that Mark, the led lights over the city are a bit white and not so bright now, the old sodium lights used to make the city look like it was on fire like it would of looked after the ,1940,s blitz, all the best Pat
Hi and thanks for kind comments, mainly wild camping but like to do a few different videos, got some good ideas for later on this year, all the best Pat
Hi yep a really great camp, views over the city were great, sometimes it makes me think it must of looked like this in the 1940 blitz over Sheffield as it does look like the city is on fire, thanks for watching and comments Pat
Enjoyed all of your videos, this one especially. I drive past this area most mornings so I may have driven past you. Can't think of a better start to the day than a wild camp before work. :)
Hi Paul yes above Ringinglow is a great place, when I was working used to park up here at end of day to wind down, so peaceful and great views, thanks for comments and watching Pat
Another great video thanks. I am impressed with your standard of catering too! I am gradually getting into wild/solo camping and find your expeditions really encouraging. I admire your tent (I bet I am not the only one!) but for the present have a Vango Blade 2 which is great for space and can be carried on my back I guess (tried packing it this week) as well as on my bicycle. Not sure if it could be considered for a winter camp but can't see why not as it stood up to blustery shore winds on Islay in the summer. How I wish I could persuade my retired buddies to join me in a wee camp but they prefer hotels (and abroad). Keep the videos going as they are the best in my humble opinion
Hi Terry, the Soulo tent is a great tent for one combining strength and quality and not too heavy to carry. Against it is the price but its a investment for many enjoyable future camps. Its nice to have trips with your friends, I must admit I do prefer to wild camp on my own so I can do what I please walk as fast or slow and not answerable to anybody or explain when it all goes wrong as it sometimes does. Enjoy your camping trips and just go for it. All the best Pat
Hi Rick, I enjoy putting my adventure ,trips on film for others to see wish we had it when i was younger. Once your out up in the hills or wherever you will feel great, all the best Pat
Hi there from US making a nice meal with simple cooking gear is part of the attraction of wild camping, also keeps you warm at night, thanks for watching Pat
Omg mate you bring back so many memories as myself and my mate used to do this before he went to live in Singapore..! So keep it up as I love your videos. You need a to have a tv channel..!
If there were more people like Pat in this world,, I'm sure it would be a far better planet,,, if you get his humour you'll be on your way to understanding that he loves what he does,, and it proves that you don't need to travel far to enjoy camping on your doorsteps...
Addicted to Outdoor Gear Hi and thanks for the comments, always like plenty of nice food on a camp. My tree climbing adventures are making cooking a real problem but I,am sure I,ll get it sorted, all the best Pat
Hey Pat. Used to fly around Bridgenorth(RAF) Swinderby(RAF) and Cranwell(RAF) Usually being a nusence to the Duty crews !!!!!! Nice Vid. Tom Jones ?Brilliant ?Of course he is a Britt ! Blessings.
Good to see you back out pat. That was a feast that like. I cooked mussels on a couple of my camps I was stuffed after. Where do you put it all? Lol. Have you bought a new soulo? It looks brand new. Nice location and good photos. I like the offset of the solitary tent with the big city behind. I use movie maker at the minute. I've used wondershare before but my subscription ran out so I'm sticking with wmm live. Good video as usual though. Look forward to the next adventure. Hopefully we'll get some snow soon. ❄️ Atb mate.
Hi Andy yes was a great meal, would not try it if weather bad as quite a lot of washing up etc which you don,t see. The Soulo same one , due to price its well looked after. Seen a lot of other photos of tent lit up in foreground so had ago had 2x lamps in tent but awkward to get all in focus with 10 sec or so exposure, seem to take several shots but can,t see whats worked out until bring up on computer. Mentioning computers they drive me mad spent ages with wmm that then stopped working then tried wondershare but felt I needed to get movie on UA-cam so rushed it a bit, now I have time to practice a bit the pressure is off, all the best Pat
There is something beautiful about the North. We just dont quiet get those high points down south unless your in the south west. Enjoyed your video - thanks for posting
Hi, new to your site , this is the second video that i have watched . Really like your style and your choice of food. . Have subscribed and look forward to more videos.
Hi punk hiker glad you enjoyed video I love being out wild camping and the challenge of preparing a nice meal on simple stoves etc is a great challenge, thanks for comments and watching Pat
Hi pat just came across your channel I've subscribed love you content I love camping but never done wild camp will definitely be giving it again keep up good work
Jack Hardie hi Jack and thanks for sub, mostly wild camping but throw other stuff in as well, quite a bit of drain exploration recently, all the best Pat
Hi Patrick . I'm a new subscriber. I don't know how I found your channel but I'm glad I did. I've watched all your recent adventures and now I'm catching up on your older ones. Keep up the good work :-)
NOSMO king thanks for sub much appreciated, as you will of seen mostly wild camping but vary it a bit with exploring etc. TR and put something on every 4 to 6 weeks if I can, all the best Pat
Hi Pat,another great video, that Hilleberg tent looks the business are they worth the money but like everything you get what you pay for ,cheers & thanks again,Colin P.
Hi Colin, yes the Hilleberg tents are expensive, but I look at it like I will have the tent many years and it is my main hobby so worth it in the end to have a quality product. also in bad weather it good to now your as safe as you can be, and reading a lot of reviews the tent is well spoken about, all the best Pat
Fantastic Video and hello From Barnsley. That was great Tirimisu for 6 definitely too much but we're renowned for having eyes bigger than the belly in Yorkshire eh?
Nice one Pat great to see you got out for a quick wild camp, I am also looking to camp on Kinder before the years out, trying to get a pass out though is tough at the mo :/ I'm all packed ready as well LOL look forward to the next one, Col.
Hi Col yea try to get out is not so easy I plan ahead and try and get out every 6 weeks or so wild camping also like a day out on trains and pubs every so often. At least it gives you a mini adventure to look forward to, all the best Pat
Great vid. I presume the mussels in the packet were pre-cooked. Interesting they still had the shells as the pre-cooked ones normally don't so i'm a bit confused by that.... atb.....cheers
hi Pat... I can see the Norfolk arms from my house and I live in Dronfield.. I alway try to work out where you camp on google earth and think Ive got this one. not far from where I passed witn my defender when I did some drone filming
Paul Holland hi Paul this camp was near a stone grouse butt between Redmires Dams and road going up from Norfolk Arms Great spot great views, thanks Pat
Hi Paul I put the motorbike review on for something different, mainly wild camping but quite often go off onto totally different subject, always outdoors, thanks for watching Pat
another great video Patrick... good to see the cooking aspect too.... re. the dehydration thing, I'm sure from another you tube video the trick is to weigh the food before and after dehydration and that's the weight of water to add... hope that helps 😀
Hi Craig, yeah major part of a wild camp is the cooking for me, sometimes dehydrated and a bit experimental, other times if not far to carry then "real food" like steak, potaotoe etc, thanks for info and watching Pat
Nothing like good tucker when you're out camping.I traveled to the Northern Territory Every year from Newcastle NSW over 3,000km barramundi fishing . Camped on a billabong for 2 weeks Catching cherabin shrimp, & Barramundi . AIl sorts of ways two cook Barramundi ,Sweet and sour, Fish and chips ,Oyster sauce .Nothing like it . Its the Crocodiles you have to be careful about . Not the weather ...Love your videos ....
Hi Marcus, was a good camp bit of trouble with microphone and even more trouble when trying to edit movie but got there in the end. Always wanting to improve on last video or come up with new ideas, as I walk back I ,am thinking about new video or place to camp, thanks for watching and comments Pat
Hi Tim,hopefully you should find it from vidio, I have done a couple of previous camps up there on earlier vidios. Great spot because of the view over the city, thanks Pat
Shame about you having to walk past that pub lad, it looked like a good un, but as you say it was a camping trip. Well you ate well there on that one lad, I can't get food like that very very often, quite expensive stuff! Good trip mate, thanks for dragging us along.
Hi James once you get in a pub its difficult to leave seems to wrap itself round you and not let you out. Most of the food was from Aldi so not bad price, mussels were only about £1-50, all the best Pat
Hi Johny glad you enjoyed video was fun camping and filming although editing it with new editor was a bit stressful hope to get better with a bit more practice, thanks Pat
I seem to be on a look-back at some of your older videos this evening. Enjoying the older ones too! I see you comment about video editor. I use Filmora 9 currently for my videos. I bought the basic version a while ago and find it okay. Do you still use that now? Nice video, thanks for sharing :) Warren
Hi warren, I did use Filmora 9 for many years and it was fine, I did buy Filmora Pro couple of years ago and use that now, or use what I know, still learning, thanks Pat
Hi Patrick. Brilliant yet again. 2 quick questions roughly how much does your backpack weigh? I guess it varies depending on season? Also do you camp anywhere else Eg lake district, scotland, Wales, Yorkshire Dale's.
Hi yes my pack weight does vary 12 lb in summer with bivvy up to 25 lb in winter with all extra winter gear, and its just the Peak District for me, don,t venture far on my camping trips, thanks Pat
Once again Pat another great video. I'm interested in your method for de-hydrating food. Do you use a dedicated appliance or just bung it in a low oven for a few hours ? SCRUB THAT QUESTION, JUST SEEN YOUR DE-HYDRATOR.
Hi Patrick That video was just the ticket while I was wild camped on the Ringing Rodger last night, the weather was atrocious so we were tent bound. I am really impressed with that tent. I can see the attraction as they look really rigid, keep up the nice videos. Regards Wasdale Man
Hi I bet it was windy on Ringing Rodger, but fantastic view of the Vale of Edale. the Soulo tent is a great tent for one very strong and roomy and not the lightest but OK for one to carry, thanks for watching and comments Pat
Hi Dom, yes its a great location to photo the lights of Sheffield, looks a bit like the city probably looked like in 1940 in the Sheffield blitz just as if the city is on fire, thanks for watching Pat
Hi I can, t fully remember but it will of been on the internet, and if you are a member of say backpackers club or similar then you can usually get another 10- 15 % discount, just shop around for best deal, all the best Pat
Great camp Patrick. Much better than BBC rubbish. If you get to the top of Kinder Scout, take some good binoculars because they reckon on a clear day you can see the top of Snowdon from Kinder. Good luck to you and keep up the great videos 👍
Enjoyed your new vid' Pat, I never thought of taking a three course meal with me on wild camps - have to give it a try. The last time I camped up there the snow was so good that there was a ski lift behind the Norfolk Arms, thats some years ago ! Look forward to your next outing.
Hi Roy, I wish we had the snow like we used to and a ski lift I have skied on Jacobs ladder behind the pub but what a killer walking back up after one minute ski run. Cooking a nice meal is a enjoyable part of wild camping for me, thanks for watching and commenting Pat
ShivaCVIII Hi it depends I don,t go ultralight, I like some comfort In summer I might have a lightweight pack of 12lb but with winter gear this will go up to 25lb. The other thing is to make the you tube videos which I enjoy making can mean carrying a extra 10 lb in photographic gear which defeats the lightweight camping. Hope helpful Pat
Hi Michael Cooking a nice meal when out in the hills is a enjoyable part of any wild camp for me, apart from the fact a full and warm meal really keeps you warm at night, thanks for watching Pat
Hi Patrick. Love your videos mate. Some wholesome cooking! Have you done much camping up here in Scotland? Not so bad if you're well prepared for the wet. Keep up the videos!
Hi nearly all my camping has been round my local Peak district, some times time restraints stop me travelling further a field, Scotland looks magnificent would love to try it one day, thanks for watching Pat
Very nice video and even better food, it looked tremendous and i bet you slept well after that? Shame about the mic and the car but atleast you could escape the hassle of life for a short while and enjoy some quality time and views. Glad you're back out Pat ATB Steve
Hi Steve I find the cooking part of a wild camp interesting and a full belly keeps me warm at night. the area up Ringinglow although only a couple of miles from where I live feels like a bit of wilderness with great views over the city, thanks for watching all the best Pat
Is it just me who thinks Patrick is brilliant!??
Hi Tom and thanks for the comments, Pat
just started watching his channel loving his vids
Tom James Patrick is grt 👍
No mate. it isn't...I do too.As a fellow sheffielder he amazes me..
Love Pat!!!
I'm going to have to have a word with the missus because you eat better out on the field than I do at home. Another great video mate. ATB
Thanks Paul I think good food is a major part of any camp, Pat
I'm from Barcelona, and here we ate rice with things ("risotto" for the italian cousins) very, very often. And your rice whet my appetite. And I've just eaten dinner :^)

Hi, Pat
Every now and again i rewatch your old videos, absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much and I hope you continue doing what you love.
Hi Justin, yes hoping to continue wild camping, the area around Bleaklow and Howden look very interesting…….thanks Pat
Your videos have been so helpful for my trip to peak district.it was surreal seeing all the views from your videos .I enjoyed seeing Sheffield from owler bar and I saw drac power station.just got back today .look FWD to visiting your great city and countryside again

Yeah I like being outdoors but I also like to be comfortable and enjoy cooking a nice meal with limited gear, all the best Pat
Fecking smoked salmon and cheesecake! your living better than me Patrick! 😉
Great video chap, thumbs up.
Hi Fergus, only the best for one on my wild camps, the prices were not too bad as mussels were £1-50 and salmon about £3-00 both from Aldi, makes a camp more interesting , all the best Pat
Nice camp Patrick. You know how to eat well whilst outdoors:)
Hi Sandy, yes a enjoyable and interesting part of any camp is the food, nice to prepare a great meal with limited gear, Pat
Yes, I like the way you enjoy your tucker. Not an ounce of fat on ya either.
Yes we all started together around the 1970,s, the years have flown by, but we all still feel the same.... thanks Pat
Really enjoyed this video. In fact, I've enjoyed every single one so far, and each one has taught me something new as a novice wild camper. I'm not far from Sheffield and I'm hoping I'll bump into you out on the hills one day! Keep them coming, Pat!

Great video and camp....thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed the watch.
Hi Eamon glad you enjoyed the video, all the best Pat
Hi ya. Your videos has reminded me of how fun camping can be, what a great way to spend your time. Many thanks
Hi Wayne, yes a great way of getting some peace and quiet and challenging as well, all the best Pat

Hi and thanks for kind comments, mainly wild camping but like to do a few different videos, got some good ideas for later on this year, all the best Pat
Cracking job Pat. Looking forward to your next excursion.

Wild camping in style, lovin the vids Pat, thanks a lot :)
You dont skimp on the portion size mate .
Cheers Pat. Yes, I know exactly what you mean!
Another great vid, love the cooking, and the nice chat to camera. Inspired me to pull my finger out, and get outdoors.
Hi Rick, I enjoy putting my adventure ,trips on film for others to see wish we had it when i was younger. Once your out up in the hills or wherever you will feel great, all the best Pat
Thanks, I'll make a video when I go and share it with you. See you
Love your short films. Keep it up. Always keeping a look out for your new stuff. :)
Tim Charles Hi Tim got a few ideas for future vidios this coming year, thanks Pat
Thanks for sharing. Meals look Great. Looking forward to more videos.
Thanks Simon, nothing like a wildcamp to make you appreciate your home comforts a little more, thanks Pat
If there were more people like Pat in this world,, I'm sure it would be a far better planet,,, if you get his humour you'll be on your way to understanding that he loves what he does,, and it proves that you don't need to travel far to enjoy camping on your doorsteps...
Thanks for those kind words Thomas, love the camping and love filming and producing these videos, your kind words make it all worthwhile, thanks Pat
Looks like another great camp out Pat. Regards , Dan from Canada out .
dan horne Hi Dan yes this camp was memorable for the food, thanks for watching Pat
“Thought it might be a bit greedy it wer for six” hahaha, love it 🤣 Cheers for all the crackin vids, favourite channel 👌🏻
Thanks Steve, this beautiful area is just west of the city of Sheffield, high up in the hills around 1000 feet, thanks Pat
I keep finding these little gems to click and comment on. Glad to help the algorithm...
Thanks Seamus, I remeber each camp so well, just feels like it was yesterday.....Thanks Pat
I we like our grub in Yorkshire, thanks Pat
Nice one Pat great to see you got out for a quick wild camp, I am also looking to camp on Kinder before the years out, trying to get a pass out though is tough at the mo :/ I'm all packed ready as well LOL look forward to the next one, Col.
Hi Col yea try to get out is not so easy I plan ahead and try and get out every 6 weeks or so wild camping also like a day out on trains and pubs every so often. At least it gives you a mini adventure to look forward to, all the best Pat
Great video, made me hungry just watching !
Hi there this camp was memorable for the cooking which is a major part of any wildcamp for me, thanks for watching Pat
Great vid. I presume the mussels in the packet were pre-cooked. Interesting they still had the shells as the pre-cooked ones normally don't so i'm a bit confused by that.... atb.....cheers
Thanks Patrick for your video! Yep, time fly's by alright. Sometimes too fast! Good to see out again checking out that gear.
Hi again the way time just shoots by is very scary the more you do the faster it goes, all the best Pat
Another great trip out Pat and you always eat well. Just to think I only found your vids after looking a motorbike review !!
Hi Paul I put the motorbike review on for something different, mainly wild camping but quite often go off onto totally different subject, always outdoors, thanks for watching Pat
Patrick ... I have been waiting for the next adventure. Thank you!!
Hi yes I new I was overdue to make a video but other thinks were taking up my time, pressure is now off and I can plan my next camp, all the best Pat
another great video Patrick... good to see the cooking aspect too.... re. the dehydration thing, I'm sure from another you tube video the trick is to weigh the food before and after dehydration and that's the weight of water to add... hope that helps 😀
Hi Craig, yeah major part of a wild camp is the cooking for me, sometimes dehydrated and a bit experimental, other times if not far to carry then "real food" like steak, potaotoe etc, thanks for info and watching Pat
Hello Pat. Nice to see you out and about again. That cake looked yummy. Keep up the good work mate :-)
Hi Billy yes it was great to be back out don,t know were the time goes, thanks again Pat
Hi Ian sounds a amazing diet you had, all that fish, beautiful.Would,nt of like the crocs though, all the best Pat
another great video Patrick....well done mate!
Hi Viper and thanks for kind comments, I,am planning my next trip already, thanks again Pat
Just started following you great real life videos thanks for sharing ATB cag
Hi , mostly wild camping but can go off on a tangent at any time, all the best Pat
Looked a great outing mate.. The food looked beautiful 👌🏽
Loved the fishing trip story 😀
Looking forward to watching the next one.
ATB - Marcus
Hi Marcus, was a good camp bit of trouble with microphone and even more trouble when trying to edit movie but got there in the end. Always wanting to improve on last video or come up with new ideas, as I walk back I ,am thinking about new video or place to camp, thanks for watching and comments Pat
Great vid as always pat.. going to have to try that spot looks very nice. Great feast too :) ATB
Hi Tim,hopefully you should find it from vidio, I have done a couple of previous camps up there on earlier vidios. Great spot because of the view over the city, thanks Pat
Love your content. Just a request. Please post your gear and tents in the descriptions. Thx
Hi Rafael yes good idea for future videos, if I remember, thanks Pat
Shame about you having to walk past that pub lad, it looked like a good un, but as you say it was a camping trip. Well you ate well there on that one lad, I can't get food like that very very often, quite expensive stuff! Good trip mate, thanks for dragging us along.
Hi James once you get in a pub its difficult to leave seems to wrap itself round you and not let you out. Most of the food was from Aldi so not bad price, mussels were only about £1-50, all the best Pat
I'll just watch it all again for the umpteenth time as it is high quality.
Any plans to camp in the Lakes or do you only really camp in the peak District mainly?
Hi Lewis, got to admit, just the Peak District, getting too old to be travelling all over..... thanks Pat 👍
hi Patrick, great vid as usual, food was great as usual, cheers mate,i use power director 15,its very good but it is quite expensive
Hi Johny glad you enjoyed video was fun camping and filming although editing it with new editor was a bit stressful hope to get better with a bit more practice, thanks Pat
Terrific video pat. Cheers see you soon.,
Thanks for comments David all the best Pat
Yep Steve you got it, great bit of kit, thanks Pat
Hi Patrick
That video was just the ticket while I was wild camped on the Ringing Rodger last night, the weather was atrocious so we were tent bound. I am really impressed with that tent. I can see the attraction as they look really rigid, keep up the nice videos.
Regards
Wasdale Man
Hi I bet it was windy on Ringing Rodger, but fantastic view of the Vale of Edale. the Soulo tent is a great tent for one very strong and roomy and not the lightest but OK for one to carry, thanks for watching and comments Pat
What a bark, having to eat two pieces of cheesecake. True roughing it. Nice one lol..
love the cooking! great video :)
Hi Scott, cooking is a important part of any wild camp for me spend ages thinking what meal shall I prepare on this camp, thanks for watching Pat
lol, eating like a king :) Brilliant videos.
Yep wild camping and food go together for me, thanks Pat
Great video. Very inspiring.
Bluesky hi yes just because your camping you can still have a fab meal, thanks Pat
Hi pat great shots of Sheffield at night all the best Dom
Hi Dom, yes its a great location to photo the lights of Sheffield, looks a bit like the city probably looked like in 1940 in the Sheffield blitz just as if the city is on fire, thanks for watching Pat
Would you mind telling me where you got the tent I think I'm going to get one me self
Thanks, would be great to see Snowdon, but 3vrn with binoculars, down,t think my eyes are that good, thanks Pat
Still watching my way through your videos pat hope you ate the rest of the cheesecake you know how to live well Good on you xx
Hi Norma, could not resist it, also new all that food would keep me warm through the night, probably walked it all off on the way home, thanks Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 yes all that walking would soon make that disappear lol x
@@normathomas8276 thanks Pat
Enjoyed your new vid' Pat, I never thought of taking a three course meal with me on wild camps - have to give it a try. The last time I camped up there the snow was so good that there was a ski lift behind the Norfolk Arms, thats some years ago ! Look forward to your next outing.
Hi Roy, I wish we had the snow like we used to and a ski lift I have skied on Jacobs ladder behind the pub but what a killer walking back up after one minute ski run. Cooking a nice meal is a enjoyable part of wild camping for me, thanks for watching and commenting Pat
Enjoyed that, thanks for sharing 👍
Brother Mark Hi Mark yes more of a good and cooking video, but that is what makes a camp enjoyable for me, thanks for watching Pat
Love the light and colour beginning at 2:00.
Yes some amazing views and weather up there, thanks Pat
Hi Patrick, what's your recommend pack weight?
ShivaCVIII Hi it depends I don,t go ultralight, I like some comfort In summer I might have a lightweight pack of 12lb but with winter gear this will go up to 25lb. The other thing is to make the you tube videos which I enjoy making can mean carrying a extra 10 lb in photographic gear which defeats the lightweight camping. Hope helpful Pat
Im totally addicted to this channel... makes me home sick though. #Sheffield
Hi yes I would not want to leave Sheffield and it's beautiful Peak District, hopefully one day you will return, thanks Pat
Is there a two man version of that tent?
Not this Soulo tent but Hilleberg may have a similar 2 man tent, thanks Pat
Beautiful view,romantic man. 👍: )
Thanks for that, Pat
excellent vid pat
Hi and thanks for comment, hopefully with a bit of practice I may master the video editor before I put another video on , thanks for watching Pat
great stuff pat im sheffield need to lighten my gear so i can get out all my stuff is army so wheight is a problem
Hi tony ,yes ex army gear is excellent gear really well made but heavy, for wild camping you,ve got to go lighter, thanks for watching Pat
Wow, that food looks amazing
Michael Wright Major part of any camp is the food and this was no exception, thanks for comments,Pat
Nice vid, my dog would love that dinner. happy to see you don't scrimp.
Hi Michael Cooking a nice meal when out in the hills is a enjoyable part of any wild camp for me, apart from the fact a full and warm meal really keeps you warm at night, thanks for watching Pat
And there were more than a hundred pubs in York Pat... Barbel on the River Severn... New people in new religious places... Good on you pal...
Got one Barbel years ago at Cressage...
Been watching a few of your video's and I have subbed you, Very enjoyable to watch, well put together and informative. Atb Steve.
Hi Steve and thanks for kind comments, always enjoyed camping and outdoors so filming my adventure just adds something extra, thanks again Pat
The quarry looked a nice spot to camp out of the wind
Hi John yes this was a good spot to camp great views over Sheffield, all the best Pat
Hi Patrick. Love your videos mate. Some wholesome cooking! Have you done much camping up here in Scotland? Not so bad if you're well prepared for the wet. Keep up the videos!
Hi nearly all my camping has been round my local Peak district, some times time restraints stop me travelling further a field, Scotland looks magnificent would love to try it one day, thanks for watching Pat
living like a king Pat.
Better than a king, no pressure just out in the wilds, lovely, thanks Pat
My favorite cooking show.
love a bit of cooking while camping.....thanks Pat
Very nice video and even better food, it looked tremendous and i bet you slept well after that? Shame about the mic and the car but atleast you could escape the hassle of life for a short while and enjoy some quality time and views. Glad you're back out Pat ATB Steve
Hi Steve I find the cooking part of a wild camp interesting and a full belly keeps me warm at night. the area up Ringinglow although only a couple of miles from where I live feels like a bit of wilderness with great views over the city, thanks for watching all the best Pat
