Great video mate. I really loved that last image silhouette. Brilliant. I'm also really excited to get my sons out there with me when they're a bit older, it's great quality time spent together.
Hey Niko, Thanks mate, yeah i liked that one too. Definitely take them out when you can, it certainly is quality time that they will never forget. Cheers man 👍😃
Lovely vlog Ian, it's great you make them with your son, he'll appreciate that in years to come. Super image at the end, it's nice to use people in landscapes 👍
Thanks Jamie, yeah it's a nice spot for sure, third time lucky, my last 2 visits were overcast so it was nice to get some light up there. Thanks for watching mate 😃👍
Thank you for all of the great information! Do you shoot in srgb or adobe rgb? Also do you color calibrate your monitor, if so which hardware do you suggest? Thank you so much!
Hi Peter, I have done in the past and did a video about that too, if you dig around in the archives you might find it. That particular shot didn't really need it to be honest and actually I only ended up using the shot that I had focused on the foreground. Sometimes it's just nice to have both the foreground and distance captured. It then gives options in post. Thanks for watching. 👍
Well done lads good job all round. Have to ask as Ive been doing long exposures, Saw you use bulb mode on the exposure of the waterfall on the rocks. How long was your exposure? I know the X-T series now has quite a long shutter speed (can't remember how long as I'm old and forgetful) and it was one of the things I loved moving from Nikon to Fuji. Again great job Ive got three grand sons who will be going with me so its great fun!
Cheers Jim, Yeah i think it was 8 seconds, not sure how long the xt can expose for, i kind of like using the shutter release for long exposure, makes you feel more in control of things. Enjoy your time with your grandsons mate :)
Thanks man, I wish it was me and Ollie, but sadly just a quick handheld shot of another father and son enjoying the views. Yeah really looking forward to the workshops. Got the first one next week so just hope the weather plays ball, it's a bit windy here at the moment 😃👍
Hi, I get what you are saying, I enjoy both film and digital photography, both require a different skill set though. I believe there's definitely a skill to using photoshop in an artistic way. I also believe you can really tell the difference between a photographer that has a good knowledge and skill of post processing and one that doesn't. Thanks for posting your thoughts..
Lovely images and outstanding video work thank you 😁
Thank you, your kind words are much appreciated 👍😃
Great video, really like the images especially the waterfall ones.
Managed a few decent shots around the same area in autumn. Can be really busy at the weekend. Thanks for the tour Ian.
Cheers Steve, yeah it's a lovely spot and easily accessible. I tend to avoid it at the weekend too. Monday mornings are usually a good time :) 👍
Higger Tor was good but my fav was the first one in Padley Gorge with the waterfalls, Great photo, New subscriber aswell.
The first image was very good ..... difficult light and could have looked busy, but well done keeping contrast under control and a clean composition!
Thanks Grant, appreciate your feedback mate 😃👍
The Hope valley is one of my favourite places to visit.
I enjoyed the video over my morning coffee 👍
Cheers Darren, much appreciated mate. 👍

Thanks for watching Simon, it is indeed very valuable time spent together, he really enjoys our little outings, which is a real bonus 👍😃
Lovely image of Higger Tor, Ian - that light was perfect. Love that area, need to get back soon
Thanks Jamie, yeah it's a nice spot for sure, third time lucky, my last 2 visits were overcast so it was nice to get some light up there. Thanks for watching mate 😃👍

Hi Ian nice shots i was wondering why you didn`t use Fuji focus bkt settings

Ian what shutter release do you use please?
Hey paul, it's just a cheap one of amazon. You will find one similar on my gear list. www.iworthphotos.com/my-gear
Beautiful images. Is the third one composed of two images?
Thank you Ruud, The one with the silhouette of the 2 people was just one image, pretty much straight out of camera. Thanks for watching mate 👍
Is that you and Ollie at the end there? That's a beautiful image mate :) Good luck with the workshops!

Was the last image on a two-second timer.
I generally use the 2 second timer for most shots, helps to keep things steady 👍👍😀
No real photography any more, they all seem to use photoshop to make images look better, anyone can do that with no skills.
