Hi, you mentioned you was forced to create a new email to have a fresh account to get it working. I am wondering if after the 1st setup, you can use your "own" Xiaomi account and the camera will work. Is it correct?
Cant make it work. Its 2019 and there is no option for mainland china. Only China, so i pick that and it still shows restriction. Seems like latest updates made sure you cant use this outside China.Useless product outside china.

But I followed all your steps and the issue with mine it is that my mobile phone is not able to recognize the camera when I tried to ad it when I am scanning by bluetooth, I can´t even ad the camera by hand because nothing appears... Hello from Portugal. I bought a second unit of this amazing camera but I cant make it work, the cam does not read the qr code. I tried and tried, retried and nothing! I had no problems setting up the first unit some months ago and it still works. Now I removed it from my Mi account and tried to add it again and guess what... same problem. Both cams wont read the qr code. I need help.
