Yes that is for Local recording, it would save the file from the Micro sd card. Please note that be sure you have the latest updated app Mihome and when setting up the camera please be near on your router and try restating your router and phone to refresh it. I had the same issue when setting up the camera :) hope that helps

Check all cables bro if you have plug it well, I did experience that turns out I did not push it in the cables to connect on the body, try that if things don't work. you may want to get a replacement unit might be damage or something.

Yes it can for the motion detector it automatically uploads it to the cloud data base, when it detects movement, and sends it to your phone app. so you get notify.. :)
SzCsabesz happend to me to... Just make sure you have the updated app and make sure your near with your wifi router when doing the setup and try restarting your router and phone.. when i did that it works.. 😊 hope this helps you out..
Thank you for your answer. I was near the router. The camera asked the wifi password, and appear in my home network. My app version 4.2.5, it is the latest on google play.
Try to restart your phone and router I know already told that :) there is some issues from different wireless routers and wifi but just keep trying it would connect, I tried 5 times to get it connected plus the Chinese language that the camera speaks that i don't understand LOL :)
Finally, it was configured with application 4.2.5. Select location to Mailand Chinese and try to install camera. About the tenth attempt came the camera icon, and I picked up the camera between the devices. However, the connection is very slow, it stops unusable. This is not a miracle about a remote Chinese server. It would be nice to work from a closer server as well.
