      @@demonworksmotorsports - I think the Mustang is a great car and lots of fun to drive. I owned one a few years ago. I like to try different cars out every couple of years. Right now I’m daily driving a 2025 Camry Hybrid. Great driving car and gets 45 MPG with regular. I own a manual Miata as a fun car for the thrill of driving. It’s a blast. To me the GT Mustang is too much money and getting more pricey every year. Service should be excellent for what you’re paying! If you’re unhappy with the dealership support you definitely should call the general manager and complain! You need to complain. It’s your absolute right based on your investment. • @demonworksmotorsports
      @demonworksmotorsports  24 дні тому

      That is tough to answer, the mustang itself sits up higher than the camaro, the visibility is greater int he mustang and gives the feel you are higher. The dash and door panels seem to be lower as well, so that would give the perception of the seat being up higher also. I hope this helps, feel free to ask more questions.

      The best car would be if you take a GEN6 SS 1LE, and a new DH. take the glass, ergonomics, and practicality of the Mustang, drop it on the SLE's chassis and suspension. Take the DH Coyote, combine it with the SLE's TR6060, and maybe the DH brakes, and here is the perfect car. Make no mistake about it a GEN3/GEN4 Coyote is a superior overall engine to a GEN5 SBC other than maybe LT5, but that's a very expensive, blown, ZR1 engine. Is Coyote as strong down low as a LT1? No, but very few modern smallblock engines are that aren't running boost. Still it doesn't matter. Coyote is a very ready to go engine, that very quickly gets into its powerband. It's aftermarket is much larger than LT1. It's cheaper to mod than LT1. It's easier to mod than LT1. There's no DOD needing deleting. The Coyote fuel system is leaps and bounds better than LT1's. Plus Coyotes weak lowend power is overblown. It's stronger than a LS1 down low. GEN3 Coyote feels kind of LS2'ish down low, with way more power up to. Coyote doesn't impress with its lowend grunt, but it doesn't get caught in some weak spot where you're wanting to cuss it while waiting for the RPM's to slowly climb to the midrange to get a big surge of power like LS1 and 4V Modular did. With that said for a N/A smallblock to pull as hard throwout it's entire RPM range as 6.2L GEN5 SBC is very impressive. A stock LT1 feels kind of like a stock Terminator engine. Maybe a little less liwend power, with a little stronger topend pull for the LT1. Plus LT1 can make a lot of good N/A power, it's just very expensive, and relatively intensive to mod. Regardless of how you go with it the fuel system is expensive to mod, and less reliable than Coyotes. The AFM hardware in it needs to be deleted if you get serious about adding power which is costly and more labor intensive than modding a 5L. Plus everything 5L is superior in strength, from the block, heads, rotating assembly, etc. I guess you could say the Coyote oil pump gears are lacking if you're into bouncing off the rev limiter, but relative to modding a GEN5 SBC upgrading the oil pump gears is pretty cheap and simple.

    Congratulations on buying a sports car thats been continuously manufactured since 1964. Chevy dropped the Camaro in 2002. Then revived it again in 2010 borrowing some of the Mustang styling cues. Now it's ending for the 2nd time due to extremely poor sales. There's more to performance cars than horsepower. Unfortunately the Camaro has a tight and uncomfortable cockpit. A dated interior along with its blind spots where as the S550 Mustang has a larger cockpit without the blind spots. Now the S650 has improved the Mustang's interior with style and materials and IMO a slicker looking body. While Ford continues to refine the Mustang. It's obvious that Chevy no longer needed two sports cars with the introduction of their C8 Corvette. They basically forgot the Camaro as did the consumers as Camaro inventory set in dealership lots collecting dust. Now the Mustang is becoming a competitor to the C8 Corvette. Ford is competing against the C8 GT3 R in IMSA with Ford's first year Mustang GT3. Now ford is building the New Mustang GTD Supercar. I believe the next replacement for the Shelby GT500 will no longer be a Shelby since Ford pays Shelby for the use of it's name. With Ford set to work with Red Bull F1 building their hybrid racing engines. There's the possibility the GT500 could possibly become the Mustang Cobra since Ford owns the Cobra name and in the future. Ford may offer a performance hybrid Mustang. The refinement of the Mustang will continue because it's here to stay..

    I’m sorry, you went from ZL1 1LE to SS 1LE, and then from SS you went to this new 5.0? And you want an autocross car? I think you’re doing it wrong lol. I went from manual ZL1 to GT500 with DCT, and while it’s an upgrade in some ways, it’s a downgrade in others, especially handling department. But I’m fine with that as it’s just a fun weekend car. The new Mustang has cool new screens, but it doesn’t feel as sporty as the Camaro, unless you go for a GT350 or 500. But as long as you’re happy, that’s all that really matters. I got my ‘20 ZL1 new in 2019 for $60k (with $7k discount) and seeing these new 7th gen GTs go for similar money is just insane in my opinion. That should be a $50k car max, with all those upgrades. Ford is taxing people and unfortunately the Camaro is gone so Ford doesn’t have much competition at this point, sadly.

    • @demonworksmotorsports
      @demonworksmotorsports  2 місяці тому +2

      The cars I had were just for a reference point in my experience. The main goal of the car is not to autocross, it's to have a fun car that I will also autocross in. If I wanted a strictly autocross only car, it would have been a SS 1LE. As for the pricing of the cars, things sure have changed over the last 5 years.... And yes, the Camaro is gone and I wanted new so I paid what they are going for and get to start a new journey playing around with this. Glad you came in for the ride!

    The funny thing that you keep hearing is how much better the Camaro is over the mustang. Well why was no one buying them in comparison to the mustang and the Dodge charger?
    The Camaro couldn't compete with sales from either let alone hold on to its own. And it's funny how people keep saying that they went with the Camaro, when it's going out of production.

      Opinions are always welcomed. As a gm tech at a dealership, I watched the camaro fall under. I believe it was more about upper gM not building the cars. We couldn't get more than a handful of orders in each year for the past 3 years. That beign said, each car has it's pro's and cons. The Camaro SS 1LE is far superior to the mustang GT with the Performance Package and even the Mach 1 from the prior generation and was on par with the GT350.... It's all about what people want, most don't want a car thats difficult to see out of or an outdated interior. As a new owner of the mustang coming from the camaro, I know I have a long way to go to bring it up to the same level as the camaro. Side note, mustang crowd seems very different from the camaro people. Mustang guys love the straight line power and just slapping a supercharger on a car and calling it a build. The camaro crowd goes the direction of setting up for turns and NA power. All good, it's ok for everyone to be part of the car community.

    You really messed up I miss my 1LE everyday mustangs are so meh. The MT82 is garbage, steering, and handling subpar. Only great thing is that 5.0 but have go above 100 mph to enjoy it rev

      I think i'm ok with my decision... I have had a lot of cool cars and the SS 1LE was cool, the ZL1 1LE's were cooler and the Z/28 was among the coolest ... I enjoy the experiences.
