Just found this channel, but I've been watching a few of your videos now and I'm glad to find someone else who loves digimon games. They aren't Pokemon. You have to grind. You have to go through the evolutions and sometimes you get the wrong one. But in my opinion, that's part of the fun. I can't wait for Next Order. Glad you recommended it!

Yo there is a survey up for Digimon Survive, I name dropped your channel for being one biggest reasons I bought the game, hopefully bandai will send you some merch or something.
It's not even having the evolution stages, but rather, having the right stats, since you can still have the big numbers in the Child level, but that doesn't change that you have to grind anyway. The only workaround for this is extending your digimon life span, but I don't think next 0rder have and effient way of doing this. In fact, it removed the method we had in Decode. In that game there's an NPC that opens a shop after you beat the story and there's a chance he'll be selling food that increases your life span for the day. By the time you're in the post game, you'll probably have enough money to stock 99+ of those, even though they're expensive. This would have a way bigger impact on next 0rder than it had on Decode since the you can't even die while you're playing the harder content of that game.
YESSSS. It truly is the stats, but by the time the accurate stats are acquired you've been a Mega for DAYS, so it's all the same thing. That sounds clutch/perfect with how Decode does it. That is EXACTLY what we need in next 0rder. Those annoying stones literally mess up your digimon by not scaling🤦🏾♂️
Honestly, Next Order has too much crap in it that is hidden or you might only ever stumble upon by chance or if you're looking for it. As for dying and regrinding, no one talks about food. And not your standard sirloin you just throw to your mon in the field. I'm talking about the good stuff Seraphimon cooks at the restaurant. That stuff that give huge stat points just by eating it AND it gives hours of extended life that adds up when you feed 2 of them twice per day. You end up with immortal digimon with maxed stats. It's not even hard, you just have to know it's there lol
And gotta afford it. But yeah, if you know where things are, who to recruit etc. The game can be extremely smooth...but that won't be the case on your 1st run
@@Jamm3r Exactly! I think if they added portions of the "added life" to cooking via the tent (just enough to make your digimon last a day or 2 extra), maybe that would assist in the stigma.
I ended up passing this game about 2 years ago. I would start drop restart it about 4 times till I finally decided to push through. What the game doesnt tell you that I learned from watching other youtube guides is that there are hidden caps to the amount of skill points you can learn after battling. Rookies and megas dont have limits. Only champions and ultimates do, so you have to do the stat grinds as much as possible with the rookies and the guard ability is needed. Once I was able to get the stats to above 5000 you would feel indestructible. and then you would just cap at 9999 on everything besides health and mp
I dunno man. You didn't even really touch on Tamer skills. Those help out a ton and you don't really need Megas all the time to progress. Only in a few battles.
There's a lot of things I didn't dive into lol. I did show them on the screen 😂 Either way, it's all apart of progression. And TP Skills only take you so far until, like I mentioned, you plateau. Endgame especially is extremely hard...those Numemon?! Bro.

I'm here to raid the comments before watching the video & just say YES. It's been 7 damn years since it released originally, show Bamco that we want more Digimon World games. Eh, I'd say DW 2 was the worst, also your outro's fire. PS. I stuck it on Normal difficulty, training your digimon *should* take more time so that it feels more rewarding.
Game's super fun, from what I've played (not that much so far) wish combat had a bit more of a tamers style with more item options, perhaps there are in late game but so far it's mostly HP / MP discs and some chips, wish they added a bit more depth to the fights and be able to go full digimon tamers, I love that Digimon for the most part have a mind of their own though and you only get to guide them but not fully control them
I played it on the PS4 and its worth it if you played previous digimon world games or play a new digimon game from the cyber sleuth. Just make sure your used to the mechanics early on and don't get numemon lol
I appreciate the honesty here. I’m probably not gonna grab it tho; I’ve still got some much to play with limited time and while I liked World 1 back in the day I still remember how frustrating the mechanics were.
in your 2nd and 3rd digimon life cycle you can grind battles instead of training for insane stats and you can pretty much fuck up some story bosses on champs / ultimates that are at the same stats your first megas were so on and so on, it all depends how efficient you are, you need a lot of battle items, I usually focus getting money on first life time so I can grind out stats on battles on 2nd cycle onwards cuz its more time efficient(in-game time) vs training in the gym.
Battles are THE way to train in Next Order. The gym is only for babies and rookies basically. And as the generations go up, rookies are even strong enough to battle. BUT. THE TRAINING IN REAL-TIME IS THE KILLER. It's 2-3 hours from baby to mega via outside training. It's a real grind regardless😅
@@Jamm3r yeah, but what I meant is that by your second or third gen of Digimon, you can progress with them being Champs/Ultis too, also after training, wasting in game time goes reallllly fast just spam train/sleep if you want your digimon to evolve a bit faster. Yeah its time consuming, but imo you can still do some work arounds you can get from intraining to mega in like 3 hours
Problem with the gym is your missing out on bigger stat gains that you could get in the field battling. So yeah, having to battle in the field equates to ~3hrs from baby to mega

Idk if you remember digimon world 1 and 2 for PS1 but taking care of them like this was a lot of the main premise of the game, not much story and I feel a lot of nostalgia coming back for me seeing gameplay videos
I'm wondering about that run feature and how it will play on the Switch seeing as this was originally a Vita game. Hopefully it won't have those random glitches like on PS4 when you use the signature moves and it takes any amount of time before they actually do the animation. I've put over 100 hours on normal mode and on hard mode. The battle grind is exhausting. l remember almost falling asleep a few times but it's one of the best ways to make bank. Might grab the Switch copy. It really is half and half like/dislike.
I never played a Digimon game before picking up Cyber Sleuth last year and i am enjoying it but i just dont feel the connection to my Digimon like i am from Pokemon games. I am curious to try this one to see if the extra effort gives me a different experience.
in the end game you are possible to extend the life to 100 days for 1 digimon even if the other dies it will level so fast that there is no issue. Sometimes we just need to train to get our digimon stronger in the next generation to have it easier. There are many ways to play the game.
I know the game is supposed to be an update on the first World game, but it’s so weird when World 2-4 were completely different in gameplay. It’s like World 1 spun into this and World 2 spun into the DS world games, and 3 and 4 were just dumped
World 2 and 3 are technically Story games in a way. Looking at title "Digimon World Dawn/Dusk", those are also games that are Story-styled. In Japan they're called Digimon Story, but mistranslation happened and here we are lol. We don't talk about 4
I feel that the difference between the *In-Game* time spent vs *Real-Life* time spent, is a massively overlooked problem with Next Order. Here, you have the Training Room: + you get a BIG boost in stats, every use + takes no time irl - takes 1 hour in-game with… each… use… Now you have wild Digimon battle: - gives little stat boosts - takes too much time irl + takes *NO TIME* in-game ☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻 Y’all see the problem, right? 🤔 It’s like the game is punishing you for playing it. 🤷🏻♂️
Training room definitely does not give big boosts. At lower stages maybe, but you fight the right enemy and you can get 100s on a single stat. iirc I had my training room maxed from an upgrade perspective and I've never seen nearly as good stats as I can get in the wild It doesn't just punish you for playing, it DESTROYS you.

True digimon world it is not for every one, but when you understand the machanics the game bacame easy, i had a pokemon with 9999 in all stats on the ps4 version, plus you have a medic digimon in town that you can transfer part of the life span from one digimon to another, that is realy useful when you want to keep at least one of you digimons alive for a lengest time.
I have next order on PS4 been stuck on ch 1 forever I'm like I hate it but I like the world . I could use that easy mode I keep deleting the game then downloading cause it's addicting also I prefer the story games more but the world games got me intrigued.
I'm excited about the easy mode honestly. I'm more into a casual gaming experience. And I haven't played any Digimon games past the Cyber sleuth games. So I'm excited to check this out.
hey just pointing out, you made it seem like you can't control your digimon until they have their special ready even though you can literally command them to precisely block and use moves they learn and their special trait. The battle system is actually way better than other games once you learn it and there isn't much of a grind once you understand raising your digimon as well to where it takes less than an hour to get the stats you need to progress since digivolutions really don't matter as much, the bad thing about this game is the tutorial sucks in showing you how to do these things.
Yeah I only blocked, I found it less useful to command them to use specific moves since it takes order power when I can just use my special by saving up to 150, and do more damage. Let's be honest, someone's first playthrough will never be that efficient lol it's a lot of item management and when you go in blind the game is not easy to grasp. I'll be making a guide to go in depth, where I talk about those kind of things, which TP skills to get first, etc, etc. Also, when I said progression I really meant it. The battles get gradually better- using your example when you finally unlock the ability to block, then upgrade it to where you only take 1 dmg from the block, it helps out SO much when training. I didn't go into detail because there’s so many things that start out tedious or hard and progressively get smoother or easier, I picked a few ones that I personally liked and want people to understand it get better through more game time aka PROGRESSION! (For end end game content, which I should've specified, shit gets super hard and the stat requirements are nutty) U feel me?

@@Jamm3r One thing I think people don't realize is that giving move commands will let your digimon perform the action without mp, and it will execute immediately. There are cases where that is useful especially when fighting mobs and grinding for stats if I recall correctly (since we wanna save mp as much as possible)
I'd argue that today DMW2 is playable with a emulator and speeding up the animations. Its very straightforward unlike 3 and very little random unlike 1. And 4 is bad.

I can get past my partners dying. Plus later on in game you can make them live longer.

I think it 100% will. I feel that about Cyber Sleuth though, the ease of obtaining dampens the experience a bit

To be honest if I summarize my experience with new order, it was pretty but a crappy remake of digimon world 1 from the ps1🤷🏻♂️.
