This is my very first time hearing the Melvins. I saw a brief interview with Buzz, he is so intelligent and down to earth, I just entered the Melvins in, and this show came up. I will keep searching. Heavy and dark and not at all what I expected. Fucking great band!!
You should see them live. They are fantastic. They are on tour with Ministry currently. Saw them in Philly on Weds. Look up their touring schedule and check them out. You won’t regret it.
@@Erkbrothers80 Thank you. I hope you had a great time. I have seen Ministry before at Lollapalooza either 92 or 93.. they are amazing live. I won't be able to go to this show.. but I definitely want to see the Melvins in the future.
What I love the most about them, is that they're never the same, never the same line-up, never the same setlist, never the same nothing! and they always amaze you like it's the first time. Their source of energy might be nuclear or I don't know what-the-fuck but they never cease to cause an impact, no matter when you watch any footage or go see them live. The 'vins are endless. This one got to be one of the best footages I've ever watched and ejoyed. Absolutely killer.
What’s awesome is I thought this was from 2023 because I saw them again recently and they still sound this good, if not better, so I just assumed it was new… but it’s 20 years ago. Should have known since Buzz isn’t fully grey yet. MELVINS FUCKIN ROCK
I've seen the melvins one time. Only a couple years ago. The show was great. I was a teen in the 90's when I was intoduced to their music. I was suprised to see many younger people at that show. I was outside the venue just hangin out i was leaning against what looked like a locked door. An old door that I was guessing was out of use. I felt a nudge coming from the other side so I moved and out walks king buzzo himself with his legendary massive hairdo just crazy poofed out that day. I didn't expect that at all. I said "Uhhhhhhh hey man. Nice night? I like you" nervous and awkward hahaha. Who says I like you. Haha
You know , out of all people in bands I met , drunk or sober , I can´t recall a single stance which wasn´t awkward af . I get all starstruck and nervous ... I´m pretty shy anyways , always been that guy who would probably , well not really but ( you know what i mean ) ... , die a virgin if broads wouldn´t had taken the 1st step .
-I once saw Dale walking in front of me outside a venue before the show. Without even thinking I just said "Dale!". He turned around like it was someone who knew him, and I had no clue what to say to him. I didn't want to be the A-hole that asked for a picture or gushed about how he was a drum god who I idolized etc...I just stuttered for a second and managed to get out a "You guys F'n rock!", which felt like the corniest thing in the world to say. I think he realized I was starstruck, and in the coolest genuine way he just said "thanks man". I quickly just gave him a fist pump and walked away before I embarrassed myself lmao
I need to post as I keep coming back to this gig as a blueprint for everything right in a gig ... I see teamwork, guts, dedication and fire .... I don't doubt the boys would have been fourth on the gig and blown the top three away ... perfect :)

Dale is inexplicably wearing a dress, murdering these songs all while singing for most of them. What an absolute legend.
That instantly makes him gay dude 😂
I don't understand the dress..what's the point?

Love watching their sets but def annoying people at their shows. I respect your patience with people is all. 😛

Right. No bullshit stage banter, no pause between songs for tuneup because Dale keeps it going.

That bass tone is fucking glorious
g&l pickups
Dale's a human metronome. His precission in Let it All Be never ceases to amaze me.
My favourite Melvins line up and era. Kevin is a show on his own and Dales sexy dress is hot.

Completely agree. Vintage performance.
Simon Chandler I've been watching this a lot too recently. It's Kevin's bass. The opening number.
