The thing that sometimes gets lost is that MP is not just singing, he's running his own sound AND producing all the synth & other sounds........and doing it well. Saw them headline a show at house of blues, & I thought as I watched him from the balcony that MP looked a little like a mad scientist, tweaking & fiddling with knobs & keys etc, all while hitting every note, sound & word on time.
Its amazing. I never gave Faith No More a chance because of the song Epic being on the radio and I do not like slap bass. Also I would have had to spend $17 or later have had a friend who had any of their albums,, a CD burner, a blank disc, and a few hours to babysit the process. I didn't find out Queens of the Stone age would be one of my favorite bands around 2 decades after not enjoying their music video for No One Knows and thinking the band name stunk. Also no friends had one of their albums. People say Mike Patton has ADD I believe it. I'm talking the real deal ADD. Not what people who are wasting everyone's time in university pretending they're learning something but need drugs to study and flirt with amphetamine addiction. I'd bet Mike would make mistakes performing without lots of tactiles near by to pick at, finger, pinch, prod, and poke.
@@frogsuitsman4853 QOTSA is my favorite rock band...I was already into them by the time I saw the video for No One Knows. Almost anything Mike patton is involved with is my 2nd favorite. Interesting the way things shake out, though, how it took so long for you to really give those bands a righteous listen.
Re: MP & ADD...he didn't always have all the gear up on stage with him & he did well...but who knows, having all those different things to do may just make it easier for him.
He's Extremely Talented!.👍
That is the man the myth and the legend who is Mike Patton. Get well soon Mike. Hope to see you back on the road soon
He's not exactly running his own sound. He still has the house guy do that. What you do see is his effects, instruments and microphones going through a mixer that he does have personal control of. I've heard him refer to it as the chaos box.
Singer/everything: Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr Bungle...)
Guitar: Duane Denison (The Jesus Lizard)
Bass: Kevin Rutmanis (Melvins)
Drums: John Stanier (Helmet)
What a fucking lineup
Thanks!
Super band
Bass: Kevin Rutmanis (The Cows, Melvins)
More importantly the cows
It should definitely be noted Stanier drums with BATTLES as well
@@Truckdriverdivorcee well said/yep☆
Point and Click 22:36 to 22:41 : the lowest note that Mike Patton sings here is a D1 !
Incredible.
He is easily one of the most talented vocalists I have heard in my entire life. I'm blessed that he is performing live in my country soon, I will be very lucky if I can get a ticket before they sell out.
Mike is like an angry Perry Farrell with emotion and talent. And a disturbed mind. But I'm probably wrong.
I would say he is a million Perry Farrells. But I may be wrong. All I know is that there is only 1 Mike Patton. And thats better than a million Perrys.
What an insane band. I need to go to bed but I just want to keep listening, its like a treat for a musician. Respect to Patton and the whole band.
came here after listening to their new song in 2021!!! Can't wait for the new album.
Me too 😂😂😂there is no coincidence just algorithm
My youtube algorithm likes this :D
Fuck algorithm
It;'s fucking Mike Patton l
"Watch another action movie, dream of me"? Yes, Sir.
I had the absolute pleasure seeing these guys with Tool in 2001........I absolutely hated it at the time as an ignorant freshman in High School, lol. I look back on it all of the time, and wish my genres were more expanded at the time. I'm glad I saw them early on
Also you were a Tool fan, nothing less was expected from you XD
@@jariza2606 skdkdkdndndndnsnwnwndbdbdbsjdndsjs hahaha
This show is pure talent mixed with exceptional genius
Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve played these tracks or watched these performances , I still get goosebumps the minute I hear the passion in his vocals.
Flashback is such an emotionally sincere and disturbing song. Especially since I found out Mike was sexually abused as a child.
@@CCDaDon15 What?!! When did this revelation come out?!
@@mikespearwood3914 he talks about it briefly in the interview with Eric Andre. It’s the only time he ever had music lessons, the person who was teaching him at the piano allegedly touched him inappropriately. He explains this as a reason why he’s self taught
Mike Patton is the KING
King for a day, and for a lifetime!
@@dalilaghozelane5396 he is JUST A MAN
Mike Parton is GOD
Fuc*ing great! the most under-rated and purely BEST of the Patton projects, on par with FNM in my opinion! Best band for sure and he truly uses his voice as an instrument and gives a whole new meaning to 'front man' here. Creative as hell and very strong. Too bad he didn't concentrate more on this project as 'Mit Gas' is an incredible album, as was the debut.
I love Mit Gas!
the debut was better than mit gas but mit gas was close to being better
I mean, I couldn’t have ever said it better. Except with exclamation points at the end of each sentence
@@davidstandard4842 I hear ya.. i dont realize i do it sometimes
Don't forget Mr. Bungle as another one of Mike Patton's GREAT band!
Mike is god... he sounds like a devil. but he`s god :-)))
God Damn-it, Patton!
I want Nothing, But More.....!
22:26 Type o negative style :P
Totally!
Digging it!
That drummer is great and the second song of their set proves that!!!!
Check out a band called "Battles", the drummer's other band. I've only just discovered them through a friend. They been going since mid 2000's. They're on WARP records. Amazing drum stuff going on.
@@jonnydavies6968 John Stanier is also in Helmet!
These guys with the drummer from Shellac would rule. Oh. And Tom Waits on vocals :)
Nobody has any clue how hard it is to play and sing like this mike would lose his voice if he did it all the time but then idk cuz he has such good control idk maybe hes got it under control.
Mr. Bungle molested Faith No More.
Mr bungle molested fantomas with a tomahawk which is why he has faith no more
Kevin é estranhamento atraente dançando com esse baixo
Awesome, thanks for uploading the whole thing!
8:41 dat bassline.
wrong note lol
Lol I love Patton when that note went south
What an amazing place to play too. That view is spectacular for the band as much as it is the audience.
Les Eurockéenes de Belfort, La Plage, July 2003.
I somehow always forget how incredible tomahawk is then I listen and remember everything, not that anyone should care, but first time I ever really listened to them was the first time I ever really to ecstasy talk bout a religious experience
I saw them open for tool when I was on acid, probably around this time, can’t remember I was high haha
Mike Patton looks like a tai chi master in that outfit
Crazy genius. Brilliant
Oh j'y étais c'était énorme !!! Toute façon la programmation de cet eurock 2003 était magnifique 🙏
Les gens ont aimés le concert ? comment a t-il été reçu? merci !!

it' sounds almost exactly like the band BRAINIAC =)
Mayday is a full assault on the ears. I'm in love.
I love this dude. I did an Elk y Deer Call, Harmonica and all, Electric Guitar to Tye Dye it All. RAAAHHH!!
Why i can hear Spitter sounds from Left 4 dead at 7:50?

It never was hidden in the first place…
Either way. Arent you glad you found em?

Thx for including lineup because I always want to be sure Trevor Dunn is NOT INVOLVED
Not a fan?
Bitter ex gf
oh dos anyone else see the resemblance to steven segal in mikes look? i keep running across this phenomenon! i love mike!
6:16 and if u look to the right u can see Buzz Osborne
ART
I'm thinking it's related to his reason for leaving the Melvins:
"When asked about Rutmanis and the canceled portion of the tour Osborne and Crover stated that Rutmanis had "disappeared". Fans feared that Rutmanis had departed like so many bassists before him; however, Rutmanis returned temporarily in early 2005. In June 2005, Rutmanis officially left the band with drug abuse rumored as the major cause" [from the Melvins wiki page]
This is one hell of a show!!! They have so much energy live!!! Still do.
MORE! finally another full show! U ROCK thank u for the upload!
The supergroup of all supergroups
This is Badass
Let the man express himself. Mike, if you read these, you have a massive fan base in Vancouver, bring it on home.
I know I'm going to sound stupid, but what exactly is Kevin doing? Like why is he moving his body like that for pretty much the entire show?
Heroin.
Or to bend notes a little, I guess. But dude has a history with the white stuff.
Leave Kevin alone!
Groove.
He’s got the rhythm
Damn this is good
If they go into Aktion 13F14. I'm gonna lose it...
They didn't. Still lost it
No Sweet Smell of Success. ._.
Seriously, screw whoever thought having 20 ads in 1 video was necessary, i cant believe how bad it's gotten...
If youtube keeps going like this it will be as useless as cable TV in a year or so
Soyou don't know ad blocking ;-)
@@komputnik shouldnt have to instal a third party program in the first place.
20 ads in 1 video is just too much and if you cant even agree with that you can fuck right off
ya know dude , how many ads did you put on this thing ... wtf ?
Funk me! This is...what the.. can I have lyrics? :D
Such a Wonderful, talented Artist!.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
i want to play in fucking belfort to fkn @birdsong
Was there...In my town !
Jealous. I wish i were there. At that time i had other troubles. ;-)
Loved this!
et vive la France !
I don't wanna come back as John Stainer's drum kit.
But what does it all mean besides bad posture and lots of food?
Does tomahawk ever play anything off of anonymous live?
I don't think they toured between the release of Anonymous and Oddfellows but they definitely played songs from Anonymous during the Oddfellows tour. Have a look for shows from 2013 on, eg Lollapalooza Brazil
Ben Mitchell did they even do anything other than totem?
I believe it's hard for them since they are complex songs and involve a lot of percussion, I made a hard search and didn't found anything other than Totem at their Oddfellows tour. I think the reason they didn't toured Anonymous is because the bass player left before the recording process begin
It seems his band is thinner. If I was his flock I'd start getting nervous.
Best Desastre Natural live!
it was awesome !!
more plz thx bye mike where R U MAN
JOHN STANIER
Yes, he has a mic in the mask, you can see that better in this video /watch?v=0aA5NxTujqg
EXITED THEY'RE WORKING ON NEW STUFF!!!
I saw them live a month before this a few times same set list. God I miss those days
They're almost back...we just need to Participate in the Human Clinical trials of the Experimental Needle Concoction and keep getting swabs shoved in our heads.
And make sure you make your children do the same.
excelente!!
Great !!
Yep, the show is on my channel and this one as well I believe.
Obviously, that gas mask have mic ... Mike Patton is no playback!!
08:39 - A top notch funeral track!!

Eu realmente não sei fazer um comentário conciso, quando vejo algo que se faz o direito de ser comentado. Só sai baboseiras.
Eu não havia tido, entretanto, esses caras são demais.
E sem análises técnicas, não sei o Range do Mike.
:)
+Rodrigo Dionizio Se não me engano, 5 oitavas.
+Le Jardin Morts O mike é foda, ele me ensina a cada dia mais coisas que me ajudam a viver. Obrigado pela informação ;)
