Hello from Kansas, finally got some good rains in the SE part. 3 inches this month! Update on the 3020 clutch adjustment. The operator manual says 3/8 freeplay, the tech manual says 1-1/12 inch! Adjusted to about 11/2 inch and it is a lot better now. Good talking to you the other day.
Hey John, nice video again. Question, actually 2, can you remove the trumpets without pulling out those pins? 6210 and 6410. To prevent the problem you show there, I want to replace the brakes, because they have 12500 hours and 14500 hours on the clock. I broke the input shaft of the 6210 a few years ago. I did not replace the damper on the flywheel, but I still hear a slightly thumping sound. Is it wise to replace the damper? Thanks for all your videos and especially your humor, keep it up
Yes you can pull the axles you'll need a big wedge to be able to pry the axle off the pins The Dampner is worth checking out also the U-joints and that Hub on the input
The four pins that hold the final drive and transmission to the frame They are 30 mm with a 1.75 pitch, I believe We built that special 60-ton puller to do that. Otherwise, with the John Deere puller, you're better off to pull the final drive and use the threaded Rod that goes into the pin and a cup around the PIN
I realy enjoy your video's , a lot of information and easy to watch
Thank you.

Man I sure prefer 6000 cab tractors. Just tip the cab and do all the transmission work from there. Way easier in my eyes!
Yeah.
Hey, pulling a 6215 transmission right now trying to figure out the hammer method to pull the pins what's the best way to go about this?

So what was /is the cause of all this ?? And how many hours ?
I'm keeping you guys in suspense. The brakes failed and then fill the transmission with filings

That’s it huh. Wow. Lack of maintenance. Dang.
Not sure, kind of a freak deal, most of these later models have good pad material.
