Funny - I was waiting for a comment about the train passing .... Thinking about the CEE out-takes ... and then.... Anyone NOT watching CEE should. www.youtube.com/@CuttingEdgeEngineering
It's a wonder that HR Dept does not fire you both, LOL. Another great video sir. always informative, interesting and entertaining to say the least. Thanks
Clint, BTW I would like to compliment you and your crew on how clean y’all keep your shop looking! That just shows that you truly care about what it is you do! It would not matter if you were baking bread, the fact that you care enough about your work environment to continuously have it kept that way! Shows everyone that you take pride in what you do. Well done to your entire crew!
In the late 80's I worked for an engineer who had retired from JD as the lead designer of the G model trans. When he told me that he could have the trans out and on the bench in an hour I told him he was out of his cotton pickin' mind. I went back to heavy eq. in the late 90's for a company that had a fleet 450-650G's which meant I was rebuilding 3-4 G transmissions/yr. I had to call him and apologize. Of all the brands I have worked on, that was the easiest to remove and work on. Great videos.
"These don't require any special tools, can be done in your shop." As long as you have your own wrecking ball and a small excavator. Very informative video.
I’ve been watching your channel since you went above and beyond to take care of Dirt Perfect on military dozer fiasco. Your scope of knowledge on all these different brands, models and kinds of equipment never ceases to amaze me. No wonder your business is so successful. Good entertaining content. Thx. Love your crew and the rapport with them.
You mentioned Cutting Edge Engineering from Australia. I'm not surprised that you watch him, he puts out a lot of information about machining operations.
As always gentlemen, entertaining as well as informative, don’t envy you taking the idler off, even with the tools and equipment. Kevin says he’s got man fingers when he pulled that one bolt out, I would say more like snauage fingers instead of sausage fingers. Thanks for the tag along video.
🤣 At 53:20 Bad to The Bone playing while Kevin is running the car through flames is another classic C&C moment for the Best Of Reel! Big kids do love big toys. Also the wrecking ball. Most of us don't have one of those in our toolbox. 😆 If we did, I'm sure we would use it more often than is wise. That is wild how much smoke reached you. I'm about 800 miles (1300 km) away from you near Ottawa, Canada and fire was another 1200 km north-east of me in Quebec. The smoke was really bad here, but the fact that it made it over 1500 miles to you shows how big the fires have been this year. 🔥🔥🔥🔥Bad to the Bone!
Great job Guys. I am 63 and heard a Transmission called a tranny all my life. So I am not going to stop now : ) I own an old John Deere 300 TLB The clutches are a metal type Wear material and look brand new even though the tranny was full of water. I just had to change the seal in the piston has rust had ate them up. Liked and shared. All my best.
I enjoy your knowledge and experience, and watching someone work who knows what they're doing and explains it as well as you do is always a good thing. No more pumpy pumpy lol
Thank you sir for your channel! I was a heavy diesel tech for a while and switched over to a Ford Senior Master tech for almost 40yrs. You really do know your stuff, just very impressive.
Thanks Clint , enjoying this work , bringing back memories with the first dozer job I did in 1974 renewing the front idler and ram seals but I didn’t have a wrecking ball , a great tool!!! Looking forward for the next video instalment.🍺🍺🥤🍩🍩🍩
Always nice to see Miley again! She's been slacking. It's amazing how rust is better than most adhesives at holding parts together!! Great job! Looking forward to the trany rebuild! Stay safe (KEVIN - playing with fire)!! Thumbs up! Jim
the one thing i relay love about this Chanel is it's family all the way your sons and workers alike all treated like family all equal makes good viewing and it goes other way makes good family watching as well keep up the good work both in shop and no video Cheers
8/4/23; JD 450 G w/trans slipping & lft front Idler asmbly (block & yoke) rusted =immovable! Yikes! Kinda delicate looking activities pulling 1/2 of axel shaft out then 'slipping' other 1/2 of axel into a 'neutral' area to allow compact transmission to be pulled out rearward from big access plate. Amazing how you show/tell(teach) we armchair viewers how to do this type of work. You make it look sooo easy! Using yur large Wrecking all
On any high hour G transmission o/h we always machined the backing plates on the clutch packs to give more clearance for the snap ring that holds the backing plate to the drum. As the drum and plate wear the snap rings can get lodged under the plate lip and break.
That smoke is is free, We have it here in Manitoba also, here it makes it hard breathing. That twice the wrecking ball did a great job, who would have thought.
LOTS more complicated then pulling the AT out of my 1990 Dodge Caravan! I didn't have a wrecking ball or a 30,000# fork lift though, that came later at the wrecking yard....
That track breaking tool is pretty impressive and certainly appears very capable at breaking the joint and pushing the pin out. I assume it can be used in a reverse pattern to re-insert the pin again and rejoin the track? The power pack machining of the plate with the O rings rather less impressive though - I couldn't see that repair lasting any real length of time / cycles of use for what must be a real expensive tool!!
Recent subscriber to your channel and I’ve been watching all your videos non-stop. Awesome the way you guys work and your knowledge of the industry at a young age is very commendable. Great videos 👍👍
Go back and find the video with dirt perfect bulldozer and Clinton it would be one of the first ones it is pretty awesome. This is how many of us came to Clinton CNC equipment.
Good to see Mr. Clinton letting the young folks...Hunter... do the work like driving forklifts etc getting experience. Unlike some U-tube creators that only let themselves operate everything. Best comedy channel on u-tube! Cheers and G'day from Tasmania.
@@RRaucina Overall, yeah, I think it was BUT it was turbo the 450 not. I could get the smaller 450 into places needed, but, the 550 had the power to get there by force and get out.
The wrecking ball is the finest " Bigger Hammer" example on UA-cam. Now when does the tracked crane get to deliver a whack? You could pick a particularly stubborn repair project to administer the wrecking ball to...should be fun to watch the wind up and delivery.
Once you get the wheel lose do you brush down the rust on the slide arm before going back together. Love watching the videos. Kevin seem like a funny guy makes work enjoyable thanks for the videos
My Goodness Clinton !!? When does your Knowledge EVER end ?? And of course you seem to have a memory like a Damn Elephant !!! Hence the success you've had in business !! Either way it's always a pleasure to marvel at your achievements !! And what you accomplish on the many jobs you bring in !!??

Love CEE videos, great camera work and talented skill set of Kurtis and Karen and not forgetting Homie the safety officer 🦮
FUC* off TRAIN. lol
@@csnelling4 100 percent with you on that.
I enjoy watching trains. The horns are music to my ears!
C'mon, pt2. Using a wrecking ball to work on a dozier is a classic mechanical move, "Make that Mug let go."
Lovingly carried in , guts yanked out then mashed with a wrecking ball , yep fun times.
That ole wrecking ball has come in handy a few times now! Can’t wait to see the transmission rebuild!
Clint your knowledge of those dozers amazes me, great to see that you are passing along your knowledge to Hunter.
It's a wonder that HR Dept does not fire you both, LOL. Another great video sir. always informative, interesting and entertaining to say the least. Thanks
Good question!

Go check out bblock02 for the flip side.
CEE is also of my favorite channels to watch along with C&C. Maybe because I was a CNC machinist. Keep on smiling.
I never knew that I wanted a wrecking ball. Primitive but effective.
I never knew you knew my wife.
Essential shop equipment: Taylor forklift and wrecking ball! I like it!

Makes my day watching you guys fighting undercarriage work.
You mentioned Cutting Edge Engineering from Australia. I'm not surprised that you watch him, he puts out a lot of information about machining operations.
Yes he is good
Well, I reckon you've proved what I always heard, "if it's stuck, you need a bigger hammer."
As always gentlemen, entertaining as well as informative, don’t envy you taking the idler off, even with the tools and equipment. Kevin says he’s got man fingers when he pulled that one bolt out, I would say more like snauage fingers instead of sausage fingers. Thanks for the tag along video.
Dam rite. The wreckin ball actually works well in this situation. It puts a BUNCHA FORCE in a pinpoint area.
Kevin is really a child at heart. It's a wonder he hasn't burnt the shop down...yet! 🤣

Only takes a slight tappy-tap from Miley to remove an idler. And I hear that Camp LeJeune Bottled Water is now outselling Bud Light.
Lol
That machine you used to remove the pin is awesome,we could have done with one removing rusted pins
Perfect line..."wonder if Harbor Freight sells wrecking balls?"... super video Clint, always enjoyable! Thanks for taking us along.

homemade tools & wrecking balls - dang I love this channel

Put that hydraulic block on your mill or lathe and skim off a mil or so then you'll have a nice fixed pump for your pin punch
