Great video! I just got the Hien Soft and I play with the G Pro Wireless, and noticed you've changed your mouse feet. I see some people complain about the stock feet. Do you think corepad/hyperglides would be better on this setup? Or is the stock feet just fine?

Hello Dazs, thank you so much for this video everyone should watch it before buying an artisan very informative and correct info. I own Hien and recently bought the zero xsoft because some player I follow used it and also because everybody says its good for tactical shooters. Then after some research alot people saying soft was better than xsoft made me kinda regret buying the xsoft. After watching the video it gave me hope to turn out it wasnt a bad buy. Ty liked and subbed.
@@SPCxRecon Both have downsides, hien feels like sandpaper and zero traps too much hairs. I think you would be better with another brand, so many good pads nowadays going for overpriced artisans not worth.
Thanks for the great review Dazs!! Been debating for months now on which one to get. Just ordered the FX Zero XS large. Might pick up a Hein also. Nice thing is, will be here in 2 days LOL
@@mrpenis6969 I'll post a link as soon as I get home. Or go on Amazon and just search Artisan Mouse Pads and it should bring them all up. I'm about to order an XL one. But feel, man I've owned just about every mouse pad on the market and none compare to these on the realness!!!!! Smooth as shit, easy to keep clean and just the right amount of padding. You mos def won't be disappointed Bro!!!!
I mostly play games like CS:GO and Valorant, which pad would you choose and why? Is the Zero the right choice? I can't decide if xsoft or soft would suit me better.. Also, maybe the Hayate OTSU would be great.. Hmm I am using fingertip/palm if that helps
I would go with the xsoft because you will have more control. The harder you push on the pad with your mouse, the slower the glide will feel if you get an xsoft. this is good for tac shooters because you will need the control to stop of players heads, but you still also be able to track well if you aren’t pushing down hard.
@@2i3u They use pretty much what their sponsor offers to them. Because their sponsors pay them pretty well and who doesn't want easy cash right? Also it doesn't matter what pad, mouse, keyboard you are using. Its all about sensivity and your aim. But they choose their own mice because a mouse with good shape is needed.
But mostly now csgo player is more up 2 their player Look at major yesterday no team use all 1 brand .. cz the brand alrdy know player dont like to forcr use on one brand except keyboard they dont realy matter
i have the zero soft. I feel like on micro aiming/tracking that it feels like my cursor is stuttering a bit as if my mousepad is gripping my mouse slightly too much and when it breaks that grip, the cursor kind of jerks. (hopefully that makes sense). Wondering what you would recommend as a mousepad to get rid of that. I love the artisan pad and i like control but want to know if there is another pad that has control but is slightly faster than the zero. I play 600 DPI and 2 in game on apex for a reference of my speed
@@erisium6988 …… skill has nothing to do with that. It’s a combination of having a heavy hand with a heavier mouse on a control pad, which is creating a lot of friction on the mousepad.
@@wmjames19 I've actually had this exact feeling with regards to the Zero XSoft, I wanted the initial friction to be just a bit less sticky for want of a better word. I've been using the Otsu XSoft for the last year which has been good but it feels just a little too fast which can be seen in the jittering and and lower accuracy. I have an Otsu Soft too but that's way too fast for me. What I think I basically need is a pad in the middle of the Zero and Otsu. Have ordered an Artisan Kou as believe this is where it sits, albeit the X/Y difference will be interesting and could be a deal breaker. Man it's hard finding the one isn't it!
@@tigerwalms definitely appreciate that cuz I’ve been going back and forth on if I think the otsu might be too fast and thinking about the xsoft vs soft. Isn’t the Hien a inbetween tho?
@@wmjames19 No I believe the Hein is faster than the Otsu. The extra sandpaper like surface of the Hein makes it a no go for me though. Love the smooth surface of the Zero, the surface of the Otsu has a bit of roughness to it but nowhere near like the Hein. If you were going to try the Otsu I'd definitely recommend the XSoft as it seems plenty fast to me, I would never personally go faster, hence why my Otsu Soft will just be an ornament from now on! Note that your mouse and feet will have a huge say in all this. I have numerous G Pro Wireless and Superlights all with different glide feet on, I find the corepads the perfect middle ground.
I have a hien soft and love it. I've heard the hien mid has a worse x and y, so this may be another reason for you to try out a soft or xsoft hien. Have you tried the raiden or any others? Since the hien, I can't really enjoy other brands of mouse pads anymore haha
i had the raiden mid first and then i got the hien xsoft and I really dislike the hien, i just dont like the rough feeling on my mouse gliding and on my arm, the raiden is super comfortable but i want to get a zero since the raiden is fast
@@richburmond6761 i have the zero now and i much prefer it over the others for everything. everytime i give the hien or raiden a try, i go back to the zero. the zero will not dissapoint
@@richburmond6761 its not slow, just slower compared to the other artisans, i have all artisan pads except the shidenkai and many other good pads the zero is quick enough for any game that you play and feels much better and consistent. i feel like i have good control and speed
Not sure how much you addressed this but the what I like about the MID is you can feel the uniform table surface due to being firm. With the SOFT/XSOFT you instead feel the spongey rebound which I don't like. Also, I stopped using my Hien for the new Hayate Otsu and I like it a bit more than the Hien. To a large extent it's just a slower Hien (~7%) and then some.

Which one would you recommend me for PUBG? (I am using medium sensitivity and preffer control with a lot of speed) Used G440 but its too fast and not precise at all, overshooting 24/7 Which one of all these meets following: high speed and extreme control? Because G440 is like EXTREME speed and ZERO control and dont like that at all... Currently using G840XL and it has a lot of control but sometimes its not consistent in speed (I keep it superclean so its not problem on that)
Hello Dazs, as the only FX Zero pad available right now is the mid, is that one worth buying? I'm using the Logitech Pro X Superlight, and I'm currently using the old Razer Gigantus pad, which is very slow, or maybe its worn out, but I'm used to that, and would like to get a new slow control pad
@@Dazs Which mouse pad would you recommend with the lowest initial statistical friction. this is my biggest doubt between the mouse pads and their hardness
Hello, I've often seen people write that hien has more stoping power after break than otsu, is that true? I recently ordered Hien, so I would like to know if it seems to me to be very fast, does it make sense for me to try Otsu
what do you recommend for someone with the obsidian dot skates by x-ray said to have good stopping power should i get a zero mid or maybe a shidenkai v2
Long Question: should I get the hien xsoft over the artisan zero (zero is out of stock lol) pros and cons Right now I'm using the qck+ (qck edge specifically) and I feel like I should wait for artisan zero to be back in stock instead of getting the artisan hien. At the same time still kind of curious to have a pretty speedy pad and hoping I could perform pretty well with it if I take a decision to get it. I already perform very well with my steelseries qck+ but just doubting if I should get the zero just for performance or artisan hien just for aesthetics/trying out a fast pad (I really like the wine red look of it tbh). I've been doing a lot of research about artisan mousepads cuz they're pretty expensive just for a mousepad and hoping I won't regret my decision on buying one soon.
Hmmm, helpful video, but I am still not sure for me. I have tested out many pads (except Artisan), but best one I have found is first GSR, second MP510. The stopping power of GSR makes me really consistent and am not really sure if any of these pads will fit me that well. I am also a low sens gamer.
@@scotty_teee4226 I would like the quality, but I have been reading the zero is quite fast compared to the gsr. Even though it’s a control pad, I am concerned it’s too fast. Maybe there’s a noticeable different between mid, soft, and xsoft in terms of speed, but I am not sure if I press down that much on my pad to take advantage of the xsoft.
gp4 might be a good pad to try if you want another control pad that's a little faster/better than gsr. Zero has plenty of stopping power but compared to being drowned in a mud bath (using the gsr IMO) it might seem a little fast, although i think you'd adjust to it and benefit from it, especially in tracking
@@stayin91degrees thanks for the suggestions, but I am good on pads for now. I have tried/owned about 10 pads including the Zero, Hien, gsr, gsr-se, and most major known pads and nothing has been able to match the consistent performance as the gsr for me. I have tried getting used to faster, but I wasn't as good aiming consistently at high levels of play. Tbh, I want something with more stopping power than the gsr. I do have an equate coming in so we'll see how that goes which I have heard is somewhat comparable to a gsr
I use a mpc450 cordura and I shake off the target. Should I go to an artisan zero or will it be too slow? Should I go to a hien or will it not give me the missing stopping power of the mpc?
Hien or Zero (Soft). I just want to know which one gives more "feedback". The one that talks to me and lets me know how much distance I am moving the mouse. Please help.
Thats crazy. I for some reason flip my hayate and it feels better as well. Looking for a smoother mouse pad, for a better glide, my hayate otsu mid feels course now with use. Thinking of a zero soft or xsoft. Shendenkai is just absolute nuts, and that mousepad does not like sweaty arms btw
I have the Hien soft and fx zero soft. I prefer the fx zero to the Hien. I'm thinking of trying the Hayate otsu (new version) my favorite pad is the qck heavy out of the box but it wears quickly. I'm very ocd with these pads:(
Most ppl would say you're nuts but ya the qck series has a great feel for like .... 2 3 days of heavy use >< so its garbage but I hear what you are saying

hey dude, nice vid. i own a hein and a zero both in soft. i find the hein too fast and i find the zero a bit too slow. i would like something softer than the hein as like you said its a bit grainy. and i dont like how the zero gets loads of hairs stuck in it, as i own 2 cats its does collect a lot. do think the otsu seems to be a perfect fit me, does the otsu collect hairs like the zero does? and i'm not sure if i should go for soft of xsoft??
@@luckydudds hi, didn't otsy end up too fast? Does Zero becomes faster over time? I'm sure Otsy wouldn't work for me because I use very high dpi up to 3000dpi.
i know it’s been 6 months but all of them have grippy bottoms to the mousepad. they should all be the same, if anything the size you go for will dictate this, not the hardness\softness
I currently just got the Zero Mid in the beginning of this month after 2 years on the Glorious 3XL. I am wondering if I got the correct one? Or Should I get a different one? Been thinking about getting the Zero Soft or Hien Soft, what do you recommend? I play games such as Fortnite(mainly) and valorant
I'd recommend either the zero soft or hien mid to be honest, they are both really great and the 2 most popular artisan pads. The hien is a bit more stiff/scratchy which might be uncomfortable for your arm
Hello guys. I have Logitech G Pro + Hyperglides and a few year old steelseries qck+. It started to be sticky etc and I dont feel like I am playing comfortable anymore. I am looking for a good replacement. I mostly play FPS games and I am low sens player (1.5 800 on apex legends). I want to buy hien or zero. Which one would be the best for me and what hardness should I pick? I want something with a better glide cause qck is too "control" for me.
Well yea hien is the general consensus when it comes to those types of games, but it's also personal preference. I just thought he enjoyed his qck until it wore out. Zero is closest to qck and stays consistent.

Hello and thanks for the video, it was good information about the different mousepads. However It wasn't clear for me which one feels more grainy ? I had a razer goliathus speed and a razer goliathus control , where the speed feels like a qck , the control feels more grainy like rough texture and that's my favourite mousepad. I don't know if you tried the razer goliathus control but I think you described the Hien as more grainy ?? But this is due to be ''hard'' or if you get the soft or extra soft will feel less grainy ??? If you can let me know which one it's more grainy and similar to the razer goliathus control that would be very good for me as that's my favourite. I had as well a GSE-RE and is quite slow but soft at the same time, I rather a bit faster but very important rough texture grainy not soft. So which one should I go for ??? Thanks again
im still thinking should i get mid or soft because i have bad habit pressing down and my mouse when i get in situation and gets stuck, so i feel like maybe the mid goes for me very well🤔🤔🤔soo.. maybe some ideas would be good

So serious question, I have the hein and idk why but I can’t seem to control the speed of it would the zero be a better alternative, I use a g pro super light and use to run the G-SR black
I need one of these, but im scared it wont work with my gaming sleeve.. bought the qck prism cloth 3xl.. and it just stops my gaming sleeve and doesnt rly work… do you have a suggestion for the lowest amount of friction, that wont stop my gaming sleeve?
Between xsoft, soft and mid what do most low sens users use? I play Valorant 400dpi/0.515 sens and for Apex 1.8. Anyone got something to recommend based on a lower sens experience? Also, i play on a Glorious XL and 3XL for the last 2 years. Both have worn out though.
I play on 0.5 Apex sens and 1600 dpi and I've been using the hayate otsu xsoft for a while. Very balanced pad , it has good speed so you can move the mouse around quickly and track with low sens but the texture it has also gives it nice control when you slow down. Very spongy as well so you could use that for extra stopping power but only if you really push down your mouse which i don't do.
Ok,i have the zero soft but for me Is too slow...i want something i Little bit faster,do u think the new otsu Is for me?i want some stopping Power Ty for the video

@@tsillie9555 it was a generic cloth pad that came with my Logitech Powerplay mat. The Hien Soft is good, but personally doesn't confer much stopping power for me. I play cs:go with high sense. I have the Roccat Taito control mid-size and it is too slow for me though it is 3 mm thick, what artisan mousepad should I have? The hien xsoft? soft? Or even the Zero xsoft? - (because I have heard it is so smooth so you can glide really well) Plus, I don't like the one I have now (roccat taito) bc it's both too slow even if I have very high sense, plus the micro adjustments are trash. Thanks for making this video!

Which do you like better, zero or hien?
@@SPCxRecon Both have downsides, hien feels like sandpaper and zero traps too much hairs. I think you would be better with another brand, so many good pads nowadays going for overpriced artisans not worth.

Hmm
I am using fingertip/palm if that helps
I would go with the xsoft because you will have more control. The harder you push on the pad with your mouse, the slower the glide will feel if you get an xsoft. this is good for tac shooters because you will need the control to stop of players heads, but you still also be able to track well if you aren’t pushing down hard.
I still waiting why no pro player csgo use it?
@@2i3u They use pretty much what their sponsor offers to them. Because their sponsors pay them pretty well and who doesn't want easy cash right? Also it doesn't matter what pad, mouse, keyboard you are using. Its all about sensivity and your aim. But they choose their own mice because a mouse with good shape is needed.
But mostly now csgo player is more up 2 their player
Look at major yesterday no team use all 1 brand .. cz the brand alrdy know player dont like to forcr use on one brand except keyboard they dont realy matter
i have the zero soft.
@@tigerwalms how old is your otsu soft? And what size is it?
The reason why you feel the textures more with Corepads is not because of their size, but because they are ~0,1-0,2 mm thinner than Hyperglides.

truly an underrated video
You like the xsoft it seems, have you tried the xsoft or soft in the hien? O also these sizes are xl or large?

Not sure how much you addressed this but the what I like about the MID is you can feel the uniform table surface due to being firm. With the SOFT/XSOFT you instead feel the spongey rebound which I don't like.
Also, I stopped using my Hien for the new Hayate Otsu and I like it a bit more than the Hien. To a large extent it's just a slower Hien (~7%) and then some.

Doubt you’ll see this, but any recommendations on which Hien I should get? I have a FM Ultralight 2 with stock feet
Long Question: should I get the hien xsoft over the artisan zero (zero is out of stock lol)
pros and cons
Right now I'm using the qck+ (qck edge specifically) and I feel like I should wait for artisan zero to be back in stock instead of getting the artisan hien.
Want a quicker pad with stopping power, go the hien. Like a control pad, like the GSR, go the Zero. You will not regret the quality
