I am a master's student and my rhythm is completely wrecked. So much so that yesterday I feel asleep at 2pm and woke up at 9pm. Completely sleeping away the day. Today however, I will try and stay awake till 9pm. And then sleep. Hopefully that will help me regulate this messed up schedule. 😞 I just wanna have a normal sleep cycle. I feel tired all the time and can't fall asleep no matter how hard i try😭😭🥱

@@FireAgarioMore For those who won't read all this: TRY MAGNESIUM THREONATE or GLYCINATE. Also supplements containing GABA, THEANINE or APIGENIN. After struggling for a very long time, I just wanted to say that Andrew Huberman's podcast about sleep really helped me out: search on UA-cam: " Sleep Toolkit: Tools for Optimizing Sleep & Sleep-Wake Timing | Huberman Lab Podcast #84 ". Apparently how you start your day impacts how you're going to fall asleep. After trying some stuff in the morning like - a little bit of a cold shower, getting exposed to sunlight, light exercise in the morning, dalaying coffee a bit, helped me fall asleep better. But the really interesting part from this podcast is the one about supplementation. After the first pill of magnesium glycinate i found that it really helps, i felll asleep quicker and more relaxed. This form of magnesium is better absorbed and helps you relaxey help you relax, and lots of people said it reallly helped them. I also take a supplement containing GABA, it also helps. Of, course, don't eat too late in the evening and get into bed after taking the supplements.

I have stayed up with little sleep in order to go to sleep early. It works. BUT you have to keep it up. Don't let anything keep you up late. Ever. Or you have to do it all over again.

Hi, I have dspd. I’m 45 years old with a sleep disorder from early childhood. It gets better and worse in cycles that last from a few weeks to many months. I am going to work a day time job because I don’t have other options, else I would to spare myself the torture definitely chose a job where I can start in the afternoon.
I need to make a huge shift since I’ve been falling asleep between six (and 9) in the morning and waking up 2 o’clock in the afternoon for almost 6 months now. I have a month to fix it best I can. Would you suggest gradually moving my sleep-wake time back. I calculated that would take me 14 days if I shift it 30 minutes back each day, to get to my goal.
Or would you say it’s better to knock it back in one go even if that may mean no sleep at all and several days of too little sleep?
I don’t drive at the moment so I’m no danger on the road. The only thing I’m worried about is my mental and physical health when I get sleep deprived.
What would you suggest and on the basis of what theory?
Thank you very much in advance 🦉🍀

If you have ASD should you increase your exposure to light at night??
I've been struggling with waking up approx 4-5 hours after I fall asleep and It's way too soon to wake up (around 3pm) I go to sleep around 11pm. I have absolutely NO problem falling asleep and I wake up out of a deep sleep, wide awake, yet exhausted at the same time. It's been hell on my life to be honest. It's affecting every aspect of my life; job etc
After I had a sleep study I was dx w hypersomnia, but not so sure I agree?? I also notice I am having bouts of body temperature increase (sweating) but body temp is low. 97 degrees. I feel like I may have some SCN dysfunction but most doctors are not familiar with this.
I am struggling to find the right help/specialist but I do not have great access of this specialty (sleep) where I live. Could you please give some advice on this? I've been dealing with this since 2016.

I worry about my 21yr old daughter. She goes to sleep really late. I’m not sure what time and wakes up about noon. Is this dangerous for that age? She does well in school, all her classes are online but she rarely comes out of her dark room. What would you recommend? Of course she thinks things are fine.

If i work on late hours its better to wake up later than the "normal people or normal shifts" to have more energy or motivation at like 3:00 pm and not being like fuuuck time to work , perhaps being damn i want to go to work
Sorry for my english this was hard to explain it but If i wake up 7-8 am i really need a nap between work because i used to do that and burnouts was more often, well i gonna rewatch the video first haha
