    We call it rice idli but we don't mix sugar instead we add salt. We eat with 2 types of chutney and sambhar.

      Idlis are low in calories n one of the healthiest food in the world..

    If added grated coconut to this mixture, it may enhance the taste of Sweet Rice Cake. I will try with this combination & add my review soon.

    Many of you are saying it is idli recipe. Then, i can say that recipes from North east india and that from South india have similarities. In Assam, we have also one dosa like recipe, that is called khola sapori pitha, and one idli like recipe that is called bhapot diya pitha or ketli pitha. Then we have rasam like sour curry recipes called tengar anja. We are aware of South Indian recipes, you may explore some of ours.

    You used baking powder instead of dry yeast. Steamed rice cake still turned good.

    So many people commenting it’s idli. But this isa Filipino rice cake or “Puto” in our dialect. So stop saying this is not how you cook rice cake because it’s different from country to country.
