Out of 155 coasters, nothing I have rode is more painful than All American Triple Loop at Indiana Beach. Everytime it transitions, you bang your head back and forth on the shoulder harness that comes down like an accordion. It is a long ride too so it brings the pain repeatedly.
Video Idea: Best and Worst Coaster Queues. Good queues get you excited for the ride (Theming, entrance design, station fly by/interactions, nice sights of rides or scenery, offers shade or heat in the winter, free lockers, ect ) while others can make you exhausted before you even step on the ride (no shade, monotonous safety videos on repeat, near loud lift chains, endless switch backs when line is empty, standing on uneven terrain, exit drops you off away from main path, ect). Would be fun to hear what you prioritize or praise in line queue design
Kinda knew Green Lantern was gonna be on this list lmfao, I've heard all the horror stories about this thing #2 is basically Hero at Flamingo Land in England, which looks absolutely horrific. The fact you ranked it *that* low really says a lot about the four mad lads who rode that Zamperla Volare all day for charity XD
It occurred to me that my personal "worst of manufacturer" list wouldn't be that interesting because I tend to avoid riding coasters with terrible reputations (no, I am not a true enthusiast who will ride the horrible ones just for the cred). But I have ridden Drachen Fire and I was sore for days.
When im looking at the worst coaster i try to weigh the ride's intentions, west coaster is meant to be a little pier coaster, wild thing is meant to be an extreme coaster and doesnt do a great job at it
The worst coaster ever made was Drachen Fire at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Fun fact: it was so terrible, that after they closed the ride, it just sat there, for a while. Anyway, the park train would pass by right next to the ride and every time the train guide would be like "AND DONT LOOK OUT THAT SIDE OF THE TRAIN!!!!"
Its funny when i tell non coaster souther California people about how good intamin is and when they ask for example im like, superman, green lantern, shockwave, flashback...wait I think Intamin kinda hates magic mtn
i was unfortunate to have gotten a ride on harley quinn at SFDK and the best way to describe how rough it was is being inside a blender that was turned on while simultaneously being dragged by a car on a dirt road
I've been on SooperDooperLooper once during my visit to Hersheypark back in 2005 and while it is is nowhere near my top favorite coasters that I have been on, it kinda reminded me of Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain at the time I rode it. And yes- I know Revolution it still around. I'm just saying that SooperDooperLooper reminded me of it at the time.
When I went on Roar last season it was absolutely ripping fast. It looked fast from the queue but was way more insane on the ride. I was so shook I didn't reride but it wasn't shaky it was just bonkers. Heard the back seats were super rough. Nobody else was on it
If Flashback had the right restraints and was indoors with the right theming it could be amazing. I really liked it, but I had to ride it in extreme defensive posture.
I love negative Chris! Yesss! But Looper?? Is it because of its proximity to your mortal enemy Skyrush? It was my daughter's first looping coaster, her first coaster she went on by herself, and is a good introduction coaster for kids. The helix at the end when the trim brakes are off/down is pretty fun.
OMG YOU ACTUALLY LISTED MY HOME PARK 😂😂😂! Wicksteed does need to get new trains for dinosaur Valley as it just hurts. The layout ain't bad and it's alr tbf but the OTSR make it a killer. No not headbanging, but shoulder bashing. Literally a killer
wild waves hypes timberhawk, and I was so scared to ride it as a kid (the only roller coaster i'd ridden was the Dragon Wagon at the county fair) but it definitely wasn't the "thrill of a lifetime." it felt less like a roller coaster and more like driving a jeep over uneven terrain. also I was today years old when I learned that washington has very few amusement parks.
Special mention to Cobraen in Tivoli Friheden by Sartori rides. It's absolutely the worst coaster I've ever ridden, and its poor construction ended up killing a 14-y/o girl.
Have you ever ridden loup-garou in Walibi Belgium. Its a roug vekoma woorden coaster with great airtime a good lay-out but the first drop is very shaky.
The Goudurix has an awesome layout and the first thing you want to do when you see it, right accross the lake, is ride it. Then you see how small the queue is while the rest of the park is so damned crowded. Great ! Lucky day you guess ! You do the ride. You didn't actively push your head against the seat (like if you are trying to merge with it) during it. Your skull ping pong between left and right side of the over-shoulder strap. You go out with a headache and a slight nausea. They refurbished it twice since the last time i did it, it was a while ago (despite coming back several time to parc asterix since, their other coasters are awesome), but the queue being still quite relatively small I'm prettry sure the experience didn't change much. Just too brutal to be enjoyable. The name is fine tho if you are familiar with the theme of the park.
B&M and Intamin come from similar places (they all originate from the Schwarzkopf-Stengel side of coaster creation) but it's interesting just how different their trajectory became. Only a handful of B&Ms are top class headliners anymore, but their coasters are almost never bad. Intamin makes some of the most exciting rides on the planet, but there ain't no lemon like an Intamin lemon. If they work at all.
My father brags all the time he doesn't get headaches because he's the father of one. Thanks, Dad. I say this because when he talks about never getting headaches, he ALWAYS mentions the only headache he ever had that lasted longer than a couple minutes was the one he got via Flashback at Magic Mountain, which he's declared the worst Coaster ever, and also #2 - 10 because there's nothing in its league. And the weird thing is, he'd been on it before and didn't remember it being THAT bad, but we rode it right before it closed and ended up back at the hotel early that day. I've never seen the man use an ice pack except that day. He's in ACE. He's rode everything. That was the only coaster he's ever been on where he was like "they really need to take a wrecking ball to it." The only other ride he said that of is Insanity at The Strat, which he said was just plain too intense to be enjoyable.
I agree with everyone. I live near Adventureland in Iowa and did get to ride Dragon. I can confirm that it was a horrible coaster. Closing it down was the right call. I also knew Coast Rider and Wind Jammer would be on your list. Lol they deserve to be. Another great video!
The first time I rode Flight of Fear, I thought it was really fun. Several years later I went back and rode it again with my girlfriend and it was one of the roughest experiences I've ever had on a ride and she hated it, got a huge headache afterwards, and ended up vomiting. WWFOC at SFMM is one of the worst roller coasters i’ve ridden, which isn’t saying much since i’ve only been on 55 coasters. it’s the worst adult coaster at SFMM
I shouldn’t be too shocked that Anaconda and Firebird are next to each other, but personally they’re at the opposite ends of my credit list. I’ve only ever had one not so good ride on Firebird, but most of them have been painless.
Does Roar at Six Flags America have any relationship to the Roar that used be at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (that has been made into the Joker)? Same manufacturer, same layout or only the same name?
Interesting that you called Gerstlauers either jarringly rough or butter smooth. While I've only ridden four coasters from them (Van Helsing's Factory, G'sengte Sau, Karacho and Goldrush), I thought that the two infinities had shaky moments or a rattle, but far from outright rough. Could just be that they were more well kept than other ones and of course it wasn't as noticable because they only had lapbars.
I got back on Jersey Devil again this year, excited from all the people saying it was so much faster than opening season. Well if it was, I couldn't tell. I rode it 4 or 5 times throughout the day and it was just not that great. The smaller single rail coasters are far more fun. I have to agree, Firebird is absolutely abysmal. Vortex is glass smooth compared to that ride. I actually like Vortex personally. I don't understand why people say it's so rough, I don't find it rough at all.
I made my first visit there last week and he's not wrong. I knew Roar would be bad but I never thought a B&M could be as bad as Firebird. On a positive note, Ride Of Steel is way better than the one at Darien Lake, Batwing is way better than Nighthawk at Carowinds and Ragin' Cajun spun more than any Wild Mouse I've ever ridden.
@627jace627 I'd agree with all of that. The only thing that stinks about their batwing is that it used to suffer a lot of downtime. Not sure if that's the case now though. Ride of steel is so good, the double circle is the only letdown and the main reason I prefer Mako at SeaWorld over it even though they're very similar intamins
Ok, haven't ridden Firebird, but I didn't think it's previous incarnation of Apocalypse was worse than Vortex. Or Anaconda. And although Mineblower has a good layout and now some good track sections where RMC has done work it's so horrendously rough in it's bad track segments I can't rank it above Apocalypse either.
@@AirtimeThrills Did it somehow get worse as a floorless? Or did it just age really poorly in the past... gosh, it's been nearly 6 years since I rode that thing.
im sorry, did he just say flight of fear was the worst premiere coaster, AND worse than kentucky flyer? Are you telling me flight of fear is worse than every comfort collar skyrocket 2?
The one coaster on this list I've actually ridden is sooperdooperLooper, and, well, if it's the worst Schwarzkopf, Schwarzkopf must be pretty awesome. I agree that it basically turns into a gentle Mine Train after the initial loop, but I don't think that's bad. I kind of have a sentimental attachment to it because I saw it running but was too scared to ride it the very first summer it was operating, when it was a huge deal. And then I came back decades later as an adult and went out of my way to ride it, so it was no longer one that got away.
I'd like to suggest an alternate candidate for worst Togo coaster: Viper (Six Flags Great Adventure) I remember being so excited for it in the 90s -- the commercial and extra 'snake spine' rings made it look awesome. Reality was not so kind. 🤕
I rode coaster express a couple weeks ago and actually didnt find it all that painful, but only because instead of just shaking it feels like it is bouncing about 6 inches up and down throughout the whole ride. I had my arms up and i looked like a wacky waving inflatable tube man every time it built up speed, but i dont think it cracks my top 10 worst, i get much more pain from rides with potholes instead.
I have to say that I am surprised to see that you that you thought that Wild Thing at Valleyfair was the worst coaster from Morgan as that basically means that you like Quicksliver Express at Gilroy Gardens even more.
I think quicksilver is a really good mine train where wild thing is a below average hyper. If i was going just on thrill, the worst list would be filled with kiddie coasters
i wonder if vortex at carowinds wasnt one of the very first stand ups it would be a better ride considering the other B&M stand ups having crazy layouts
I only got one ride on Dragon at Adventureland, but it wasn't rough at all, only janky. But Texas Tornado is clearly better. For Intamin, I haven't ridden those 2, so my personal pick is another Magic Mountain Intamin, Shockwave/Batman the Escape, one of my least favorite coasters ever. I do rank Rattler (RCCA), Texas Giant (Dinn), & Firebird (B&M) below it. For RMC, the new Fire in the Hole is the true bottom of their list, but I can understand not counting it.
Flashback is the worst coaster I've ever been on. We rode it on the way out of Magic Mountain since it was at the entrance and had no line at all! After that ride, I had to drive back to San Diego and was in so much pain, I had to pull over a half dozen times to flex and stretch ... awful experience!
Kings Dominion was my home park growing up and I can say with confidence is that the only fans of Anaconda are under the age of 10 and the person that has to approve the money to tear it down.
I definitely am in the minority about the Wonder Woman/Jersey Devil (which I haven't ridden yet) I think the RMC single rails are more enjoyable than most of their hybrid's. I don't mind the ots restraints and feel like the layouts hit just right for me. I could marathon Wonder Woman at MM, and I could do at least 3 in a row on Golden Lasso at FT
Reminder to everyone reading this after some idiot went into a restricted area under banshee and got critically injured-areas are restricted for a REASON! You can get hurt or die if you go into said areas. If you lose something (phone, glasses, watch) it's most likely destroyed anyway, so there's no point in going into these areas; really just don't bring loose articles on the ride and you won't have this issue.
Goudurix really isn't that bad. There is a bit of headbanging but the inversions are insane and the forces are excellent. I have no idea how people hate this so much. (or how people say HRRR is actually better than it)
Well it looks so good on paper but its a pretty shitty ride comfortwise. But i completly agree with you that it has its moments and that is it doesn't deserve to be on this list. Now i think anything that isn't floater airtime is wasted on this creator.
Viking is the worst coaster I’ve been on by far but Huracan, Time warp and coaster express all fall in my top 15 worst coasters, the only one I don’t understand is Goudurix as it receives so much hate and I really enjoyed it but another Vekoma looper, Shaman at Gardaland left me in pain for days and is the 2nd worst coaster I’ve been on
If you want to see the REAL WORST CCI, I would highly recommend Theme Park Review's POV of the Hurricane at the Myrtle Beach Pavilion. I have never experienced a rougher roller coaster. I never rode Son of Beast, so I can't speak much to that coaster's pain level. However, the train I rode on Hurricane in 2005 was transferred to Son of Beast after Hurricane was demolished in 2006, and I hear the coaster was even worse after that. ua-cam.com/video/IIwnA7VsVV4/v-deo.html
You left out international coasters. They only made two both hurlers. So don’t know if you left it out on purpose since they only made two but hurler surely is terrible at carowinds.
@@AirtimeThrills Interesting it’s been a hot minute since I’ve been to Michigan’s Adventure but I grew up going there and never thought it was that bad. But I also haven’t been there in 9 years (before Thunderhawk Corkscrew was my favorite though). Maybe I’ll ask my friend who lives like 5 min away what she thinks.
@@AirtimeThrills So I ran into KD this weekend cause I was driving down 95 on a Civil War tour and the log flume was calling my name cause I was melting. Anyways I rode Anaconda front row. It was fine. Minor head banging considering this is an old arrow. But my memory of Steaming Demon is much worse. I am willing to ride Anaconda again (not top choice in the park but it’s a good ride for their line up as an intermediate coaster) but not Steaming Demon.
I think jersey Devil and Roar are great rides. Devil was slow the first year but has gotten much better. Also, didn’t rmc make Hell Cat at Clementon Park? That’s the worst coast anywhere
Don't get me wrong when they first put the dragon in it was a hell of a roller coaster I just feel like they didn't maintain and take care of what needed to be taken care of as being a passholder and being there every day with my kids but that's just my opinion I just remembered the last time I was on it I told both my kids I will not ride this again and don't get me wrong when they first put it in any year afterwards when there wasn't a line the kids would write it three times in a row and more but towards the end it was a freaking nightmare to be on just saying

I remember being so excited for it in the 90s -- the commercial and extra 'snake spine' rings made it look awesome. Reality was not so kind. 🤕
Viper is definitely a contender. I rode windjammer so i have first hand knowledge of that train wreck
I loved dragon! It was my 1st upside down coaster. I didn't ride it the past few years before it was taken down though. I guess it got pretty bad.
Show idea: best coasters by age. Ie best coasters in their fifties (50-60 years old), best centenarian coasters etc.
You should do this best/worst ranking of coasters that the parks did themselves
Yeah i cant rank FITH last just because it does what its meant to do
You're so wrong about Goudurix! This is a great ride, don't listen to the haters
Video idea: worst endings for every manufacturer! could do parks and best endings. Your choice
Video idea: best coasters at all cedar fair or six flags parks ranked
Not sure about that Pinfari choice, they've also got the legendarily rough M&Ds Tornado on their resumé.
You should try ranking potential rmc rankings
Goudurix really isn't that bad. There is a bit of headbanging but the inversions are insane and the forces are excellent. I have no idea how people hate this so much. (or how people say HRRR is actually better than it)
Well it looks so good on paper but its a pretty shitty ride comfortwise. But i completly agree with you that it has its moments and that is it doesn't deserve to be on this list. Now i think anything that isn't floater airtime is wasted on this creator.
I yet have to ride Goudurix, but I kind of expected a SLC there on the list, like Condor in Walibi Holland
@@TimeWasterNL Thats a good candidate although i have to say with new vest restraines it can be called an experience.
Lol its the worst roller coaster I've ever been on.
Been on 5 of these and Time Warp is in my future
Hey Chris! I just got a Zen ride on the toboggan coaster at Little Amerika!
🤣🤣🤣
@@AirtimeThrills This is a dream come true! You made my day!!!!
I feel like vekoma should be number 1 or at least have a special category cuz of all the trash coasters they have built. SLC’s, Old boomerangs
Lucky for them this isn't a lifetime achievement list
Rank every manufacturer!
Viking is the worst coaster I’ve been on by far but Huracan, Time warp and coaster express all fall in my top 15 worst coasters, the only one I don’t understand is Goudurix as it receives so much hate and I really enjoyed it but another Vekoma looper, Shaman at Gardaland left me in pain for days and is the 2nd worst coaster I’ve been on
What has been the most disappointing coaster?
Yeah some of the little manufacturers i left out
Here’s a video idea. Cobra vs. Cobra vs. Cobra
You may have picked Anaconda, but at least it's still in operation unlike Drachen Fire.
To be honest I would not have picked Anaconda. The Arrow looper at Great Escape is worse.
@@ninjagirl226 Great Escape's is my pick as well. Anaconda is a good ride overall. The boring section doesn't make it bad.
@@ninjagirl226 i didnt think steamin demon was that bad. Corkscrew at Michigan's Adventure was noticeably worse
How about you take your top 20 to 50 coasters and put how you could improve it to your top 10
shuld do one every manufactures worst flat ride/droptowers
"Rip you in half, and not in a good way" 🤣
2:19 what happened to Morgan (I been trying to research and can’t find anything, it pops up chance rides though) 🤔
Chance acquired morgan
Gotta love a park so bad that it has two coasters in this video.
Wow... Three from my home park. At least one was defunct.
Not going to lie the flight of fear hurt( but Im on KI FoF crew so)
I think jersey Devil and Roar are great rides. Devil was slow the first year but has gotten much better. Also, didn’t rmc make Hell Cat at Clementon Park? That’s the worst coast anywhere
YOOO HE FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGED THE CORRECT WAY TO SAY VOLARE
Replace the worst b&m with Kumba, and I’ll agree.
Video Idea: Worst coasters of the past decade. Keeps out the ones that are just bad because they're aging.
Interesting. Will take a look at this
Don't get me wrong when they first put the dragon in it was a hell of a roller coaster I just feel like they didn't maintain and take care of what needed to be taken care of as being a passholder and being there every day with my kids but that's just my opinion I just remembered the last time I was on it I told both my kids I will not ride this again and don't get me wrong when they first put it in any year afterwards when there wasn't a line the kids would write it three times in a row and more but towards the end it was a freaking nightmare to be on just saying
I rode Time Warp at Canadas Wonderland once. never again. I would not ride that coaster model again. The ride was brutally painful on your whole body.
When the Chance was at 6th I laughed thinking what could be worse?
Thats how I felt when i got to harley quinn
There Are Other Clones of Dinosaur Valley or the Pinfari RC40s At Other Parks. One in Brazil Turkey And France and one SBNO at wales.
Poor Wisconsin, 2 spots in the Top (bottom?) 6 😂😂😂
#17 IS A HOT HOT TAKE
