cedar fair is a good company but this removal of kingda ka wasnt the wisest idea but i get why they removed it btw THIS COASTER REMAKE IS AMAZING! SUPER SMOOTH AND THIS WOULD BE WHAT I WANT IF THEY UPGRADE KA!
Here’s my theory (this is just my theory, so don’t take it seriously), when they announced Kingda ka’s closure, they said nothing about it being reimagined. My theory is that they will reimagine it, but they’re not gonna announce it immediately to keep it as a surprise, which means that the reimagined Kingda ka (if it does happen) Will be the record breaking 2026 multi-launch coaster. So yeah, that’s my theory. They’re probably pulling a quint on us (which means they’re keeping it a secret. If anyone’s confused, pulling a quint on us is a referenced to how BigBlueBubble kept BeMeebEth as a secret until it’s reveal, and BeMeebEth is quint element monster, which the results in the world, “pulling a quint on us.”)
Im so sorry to disappoint you, but people did reach out to Six Flags because they used the word retired, and Cedar Point said the same thing with Dragster. Unfortunately, they said, "no, its not being reimagined" 😭😭😭
@@awrybobiman-q9dthey also said that Ka was just closing for the winter when people reached out. What they say and what they do are apparently not always the same thing.
Omg why 😂 I always wish they had a reasonable layout after the crest... Not just a small bunny hill while braking. Not the 5 miles it would have to be to eat up the speed... But something.
The thing is that cedar fair has been struggling with top thrill 2 because it was only open for 8 days and we can’t tell if it’s gonna be reliable in the future so they might be like if the same is gonna happen with kingda ka what’s the point?
I mean that’s solely cause they went with zamperla, who’s never made a launch coaster before let alone one over 400 feet (which explains the wheel issues). I feel like if the park didn’t have such a backward attitude towards intamin we would already have top thrill 2 running and open.
The ride I built is supposed to be designed by Intamin. Redforce alone is enough proof that Intamin can reliably build this tall and fast with LSMs unlike Zamperla.
Yes but that was THEIR decision to go with zamperla. Which I feel like they were advised not to do. They could easily go with intamin since anything back there is going to be going anyway.
If were thinking realistically then they couldn't do this because one of the main reason of removal was because even normal kingda ka was very expensive and hard to keep running BTW: Im still not on Cedar Fairs Side im just pointing this out
honeslty this is what it should be getting here is me holding out hope since tehy said retired not removed like GL and no mention of drop of doom either
Honestly I still have hope something like this would happen. It would make so much sense. No demo permits have been filed for Ka, so I hope the track on the top hat may be replaced with new track.
In honesty. I think getting rid of Kingda Ka was a good choice in the long run. It was a product of its time and not the best or most enjoyable coaster in the park. The even if they didnt have big problems with the hydraulic launch (maybe they did, maybe they didnt, im not too informed when it comes to SFGA) it was only a matter of time until they did. And to maintain a hydraulic launch that goes to that kind of speed must have astronomical costs. From a park owners perspective the world record was probably the only real think keeping it open and since it will be losing that title next year anyway that leaves no reason to keep it. And with the plot of land left over from Ka to Green Lantern. Who knows what it could be that replaces it. Even of its not as massively tall as Kingda Ka. With Intamins track record lately. It should be damn good. And definitely better than Kingda Ka.
i actually think cedar fair iss doing the right thing riight now with ka, its over a million dollars to operate per year and in the future Bad things can happen
Exactly, in the real "Good Timeline," Cedar Fair wouldn't have abandoned the Hydraulic Launch at all. These swing launches are so boring. I can and have gone 120 miles per hour in my car, it was the insane acceleration that made these rides, not the speed! Without the neck-snapping launches it's just a gimmick with no real airtime.
@@saaaahduuuuude1228It's not the intensity of the launch that is causing it to close. It's the reliability. Hydraulic launches are inherently flawed. It's no coincidence that all the Intamin Accelerators are either having massive issues or closing entirely at the moment. LSM's are far more versatile and reliable. And they can give a punchy launch too. Tarons second launch comes to mind.
@@TheMaverick987 I'm not saying it's the intensity that is causing their closure, I'm saying that it's the intensity that makes them superior to their LIM/LSM counterparts.
