    I like October better than November that's for sure november here is a guessing and praying game oct is a planning and patterning time nail em down and go in and get em on a cold front my opinion that's what I like but it's not perfect either but it's been working good alot

      I totally agree. Late October is awesome. They can be patterned and they are moving predictably. More so than in November or even September at season start.

      💯 October is king and last week is dynamite. I also wish for a September opener. The rut feels like opening day of firearms (which I stopped participating in many years ago). Total chaos and random outcomes. Late season in the north east is way too cold for my taste. I take October hands down..

    I would guess to say that hunter pressure after none all spring through summer has an effect of the herd's movements as well. Most archery seasons begin mid-late September. A couple weeks of hunting pressure would coincide with less movement in favored hunting spots as well as causing nocturnal activity.
