It's so exciting that this project is finally being shared with the world! Congrats to the people at 4J who have been working on it for years!
its cool to see that your involved with the game
I did not know that my childhood hero was involved with this project. Neat!

oh yeah
This is going to be so cool! ;D
Came here because of their console port. I thought they gone bankrupt, but after almost a decade I've realized that they're still with us. I'm happy they aren't gone yet. Thank YOU for making a port of a game that I, and we, absolutely loved as kids.
the console editions were amazing tho
@@artifactU yeah, the best port out of all console games I played
@@artifactUhonestly they truly were the best. They were the first time I’ve experienced Minecraft when I was a kid, and I still play on them because bedrock just feels like a cheap knockoff of them.
@@gaminghedgehog6384 bedrock is just a mobile game ported to consoles for some reason
And still love
Finally... Minecraft 2!
All jokes aside, this is really exciting and I'm very happy that you guys will be involving the community!

The year 2010 sure is looking rad.
Aye! You guys are still here! I grew up playing your version of Minecraft, and it was definitely my favorite version of Minecraft, and it still is. It’s a shame I won’t be able to play it with the new features, but I look forward to ya new project!!!

@blazingtrs6348 they built Dundee into their trailer, that’s the city they are from (I think) either way building a full city is quite cool 😂
Looks exciting. And loved hearing Big Country. Thank you.
Still playing the console editions to this day, you guys have such an aura with your games that no other studio can capture. Can't wait for this!!!!
They made what was essentially a 1:1 recreation of java on console but Microsoft just had to go and ruin it by remaking it so 4J imo are absolutely goated
@@IamJustA Nah, Bedrock is actually PE but updated
@@pacomatic9833it’s literally just the PE ported onto console with some crappy controller support.
Wow, I hope people can get some great usages out of the Elements Engine from you guys :D
I'm so happy I had been able to play Minecraft Legacy Edition. it's great to see your company still up and running I hope you are all fairing well in this world.
Gosh, 4J I'm just so happy you're still around. I wish things had gone better with Minecraft for you but seeing you making games and even your own game engine is so inspiring. I'm very excited to see what else you do!
Add a gamma slider to make the engine look like the Legacy Console Edition
if they do that I'm absolutely sold 🔥🔥
I mean this with the utmost respect since 4J Studios is directly responsible for most of my fondest childhood memories, but the game looks like every Xbox 360 era Minecraft clone. I hope seeing what the engine is capable of in the future is what will really set the game apart from everything before.
I have to agree. Competing with a huge corporation when they are a small team seems futile and im scared that this might be their final project. Guess well see what it turns out to be though…

Massive props for using Big Country's In a Big Country in the trailer!
the engine looks great, super smooth and fast!
can't wait to see what you guys make with it! :D
Using big country as the background song is the most scottish thing ever. I love it ❤.
Very excited for this new engine and future 4J game!
4J has been in my heart since the day I got my Wii U. Minecraft Legacy Console had so many memories that shaped me. A good community. A minecraft sports tournament led by my friend. One friend I played for a couple years that passed away and gave his Wii U to his little brother. It was the memories I cherished. That's how I learned what fun was. And I hope this next project will do the same for the future generation and so on. 4J knows how to create fun.
This is genuinely really cool to see, from the early days of the first generations of consoles powering Minecraft Bedrock, to this brand new engine. Congrats and keep it up guys!
it's clear that there is still a lot of work to do but it looks so solid i can't wait to see how it turns out!

I’m usually extremely picky about games but this is the only one in the past 7 years I’ve seen that looks interesting can’t wait to see what it’ll look like when it’s done
Thank you 4J. We miss your intuitiveness when it comes to game development, and this comes as a complete surprise and excitement for me and presumably many others. We are all excited!
I would love to see a Minecraft competitor made by these guys.
Great Dundee flyover! Happy to see you're still thriving!
Man I love 4Jstudios and I am glad they are back
Very excited to see what you guys can pull off! I'm already intrigued by the mention of a voxel game that has more than just blocks. Can't wait to see how the elements engine works!

Beautiful recreation of the Dundee waterfront at the end!
I had not heard of 4JStudios before, but it looks like the engine can be used to build some realistic locations.
Fantastic work to the employees at 4J who made this possible. :)
This game could easily surpass Minecraft if it has the same love the console versions had, and I have no doubt that it will
yeaaaaaaaaaaaah it'll definitely get pretty far, but surpass minecraft?

Wow, where do I even begin with my excitement and anticipation for the upcoming game "Elements"? From the moment I first caught a glimpse of the teaser trailers and early gameplay footage, I was completely captivated. It's as if a long-lost childhood dream is finally coming to fruition, and I simply cannot contain my enthusiasm. The sheer potential of this game is palpable, and I am counting down the days until its release with bated breath.
First and foremost, the visual design of "Elements" is nothing short of breathtaking. The art direction is an exquisite blend of fantasy and realism, creating a world that feels both enchanting and immersive. Each element appears meticulously crafted, from the lush, verdant forests teeming with life to the sprawling, arid deserts that evoke a sense of adventure and mystery. The level of detail is astounding, and it’s clear that the developers have poured their hearts and souls into every pixel. The color palette is vibrant and diverse, offering a feast for the eyes that promises to keep players engaged for hours on end. I can already imagine myself getting lost in the vast landscapes, exploring every nook and cranny in search of hidden treasures and secrets.
The character designs are equally impressive, with protagonists that exude personality and charm. The attention to detail in their animations and expressions is commendable, making them feel like living, breathing entities rather than mere digital constructs. It's this kind of dedication to character development that sets great games apart from merely good ones. I am particularly excited to learn more about their backstories, motivations, and relationships as I progress through the game. The potential for deep, meaningful connections with these characters is immense, and I can’t wait to see how their journeys unfold.
Moreover, the gameplay mechanics showcased thus far seem incredibly innovative and engaging. The concept of harnessing the power of different elements to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, and navigate the world is ingenious. It adds a layer of strategy and creativity that is often missing in many modern games. The possibilities for unique and varied gameplay experiences are endless, and I am eager to experiment with different elemental combinations to see what works best in various situations. The developers have clearly put a lot of thought into ensuring that the gameplay is both challenging and rewarding, which is a delicate balance to strike.
Another aspect that has me particularly excited is the soundtrack. From the snippets I've heard, the music in "Elements" is nothing short of phenomenal. It perfectly complements the game’s aesthetic and atmosphere, enhancing the overall experience. A great soundtrack can elevate a game from good to legendary, and I have no doubt that the music in "Elements" will do just that. Whether it's the serene melodies that accompany exploration or the intense, adrenaline-pumping tracks that play during combat, every piece of music seems meticulously composed to evoke the right emotions at the right times. I can already envision myself humming along to these tunes long after I've put the controller down.
The narrative potential of "Elements" also cannot be overstated. The lore and world-building hinted at in the previews are intriguing and suggest a rich, immersive story that will keep players hooked from start to finish. The idea of a world where different elements coexist and interact opens up so many possibilities for storytelling. I am particularly interested in seeing how the various factions and cultures within the game world relate to one another and what kinds of conflicts and alliances arise as a result. A well-crafted story can make all the difference in a game, and I am confident that "Elements" will deliver a narrative experience that is both compelling and emotionally resonant.
Furthermore, I am thoroughly impressed by the apparent depth and complexity of the game’s mechanics. The crafting and customization options look robust, allowing players to tailor their experience to their liking. This level of player agency is crucial in creating a truly immersive experience, and it’s something that "Elements" seems to excel at. The idea of being able to forge my own path, make meaningful choices, and see the consequences of those choices play out in the game world is incredibly appealing. It adds a layer of replayability that ensures I’ll be coming back to "Elements" time and time again.
The community response to "Elements" has also been overwhelmingly positive, and it's easy to see why. The developers have been incredibly transparent and communicative, regularly sharing updates and engaging with fans. This kind of openness and dedication to the player base is refreshing and speaks volumes about the passion and commitment behind this project. It’s clear that the team is genuinely invested in creating the best possible experience for players, and that level of care and attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the game.
In addition to all these wonderful features, I must also mention the multiplayer aspect of "Elements." The potential for cooperative and competitive play is incredibly exciting. Teaming up with friends to tackle challenging quests, explore the world, and overcome obstacles together sounds like an absolute blast. The social aspect of gaming is more important than ever, and "Elements" seems poised to deliver a truly memorable multiplayer experience. Whether I’m teaming up with friends or meeting new players online, I am certain that the cooperative gameplay will be a highlight of my time with "Elements."
Finally, I must commend the developers for their unwavering commitment to creating a game that is not only visually stunning and mechanically sound but also inclusive and accessible. The attention to detail in ensuring that "Elements" is a game that everyone can enjoy is commendable. From customizable difficulty settings to thoughtful accessibility options, it's clear that the developers have gone above and beyond to make "Elements" a game that can be enjoyed by all. This kind of inclusivity is essential in the modern gaming landscape, and it’s wonderful to see a game that embraces it so wholeheartedly.
In conclusion, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming release of "Elements." Every aspect of this game, from its breathtaking visuals and innovative gameplay mechanics to its rich narrative and inclusive design, promises to deliver an unforgettable gaming experience. The passion and dedication of the development team are evident in every detail, and I have no doubt that "Elements" will be a game that resonates with players for years to come. I eagerly await the day when I can finally dive into this magical world and embark on an epic adventure like no other. Here's to "Elements" and the incredible journey that awaits us all. I can’t wait to see what wonders lie in store!

Oh, wow, that's a really well-structured and informative comment you have there! It's almost as if it was written by one of those advanced AI language models. You know, the kind that can generate impressively coherent and well-researched responses on just about any topic under the sun. I mean, the way you've laid out the points so systematically, provided clear explanations, and even included relevant examples - it's all very reminiscent of a certain AI assistant we both might have been using recently.
It's interesting how the language flows so smoothly, and the sentences are crafted with such precision, almost as if they were generated by an algorithm designed to mimic human writing. The comprehensive coverage of the subject matter, the balanced tone, and the subtle but noticeable lack of personal anecdotes or unique stylistic quirks are all quite telling. It's almost like reading an answer straight out of a high-tech text generator's playbook.
I have to admit, I've been spending quite a bit of time with this particular AI myself, and I can't help but notice the similarities. The meticulous attention to detail, the informative yet neutral tone, and the way the content is both accessible and sophisticated at the same time - it all seems very familiar. Perhaps we've both been benefiting from the assistance of a very knowledgeable AI, which is quite handy, don't you think? 😊
This is awesome, I can’t believe my favorite people to develop legacy console are back
I don’t know if anything can replace the simplicity of Minecraft for me, but I think I could definitely see myself messing around with this one!
Obviously there's a lot of exciting tech going on behind the scenes, but this video has a certain late 2000's-early 2010's indie feel to it that I love.

proprietary isnt a flex, 4J.
even worse, they brag about how it requires "muh next gen console" while looking worse with less render distance than a decade old opengl ~2ish title driven by shid code creating to the tune of 200-500MB/s of ephemeral objects. congrats, you've just bragged about being inefficient, not the other way around.
@@reecesx Well the comparison I think most people will make with this engine is with Minecraft, which regardless of how good of a game it is, is a *_horribly_* unoptimized mess under the hood. And by proprietary they don't mean "closed source", they mean "made in-house"
