  • Made this cutting board for a wedding gift for some friends. The butterfly key and the "C&L" inlay are cherry. I cut down the walnut about 2 years ago at a friends farm that needed clearing, then milled it with a chainsaw mill and let it air dry with a tarp cover.
    Thanks for watching!

What did you spray on the bark?

I`m not sure why your channel is not being viewed ALOT more! You do really nice work and this cutting board is sweet. You might consider filing that gap with epoxy though. It will be hard to clean and bacteria will flourish in there once food starts being processed on it. You have a new subscriber. Keep up the awesome projects

Would the bark fall off or is something applied to keep it on

What’s the spray you used on the live edges?

It's just some spray polyurethane. It seals it a bit quickly and gets in most of the nooks and crannies but it I spent more time on it, I would have mixed up some epoxy and brushed it on the edges then hit it with a heat gun so it gets runny and soaks in better and makes a much stronger finish.

    A. How do you know when the planing is finished? Is there a certain amount of passes? B. Can I order a cutting board from you?

For that type of cutting board I usually just plane it til the chainsaw marks are out and it's smooth. I am starting a website for that stuff soon and will let you know. Thanks!

Nice work. The music however completely destroyed the video imo.

Why the horrible music to ruin a otherwise good video?

Another "mute" video. Thanks for posting, just don't like the music.
