- The 2025 BMW M4 CS ($150,000 starting in Canada, $123,500 starting in the US) is a lighter and more powerful version of the already-rapid BMW M4. It has a 3.0L twin-turbo inline-6 engine that makes 543 horsepower, and has a claimed 0-60 mph time of just 3.2 seconds. To live up to its CS namesake, the M4 CS boasts some performance enhancing goodies. This includes the use of lightweight materials, specific chassis and suspension tuning, exclusive CS wheels and several other changes. But does it live up to its hefty six-figure price tag? Hey, just to clarify, this video shows that the M4 CS has 650 lb-ft of torque. That is incorrect. it has 650 NM of torque. The lb-ft measurement is 479 for this car. Apologies! P.S. the world needs to agree on metric or imperial at some point.

I love the color and the interior, but the M5 CS looks cleaner in my opinion and sounds amazing. I like where BMW’s performance division is headed, even if I can’t afford one!

In that price rang so many amazing cars. Would probably go Z06 or GT4 for the fun and intoxicating engines.
Both great choices, but apples and oranges. The BMW is technically a DD. Throw kids in the back or drop the back seat for cavernous storage (I throw a 29" mountain bike in there with the front wheel off), and still get similar lap times.
@@saffaseppo7664 the corvette trunk might be able to hold 1 kid 🤣. You are right though the BMW does give you that family/utility component to go with the performance.

@@saffaseppo7664m4 cs rear seats only work for little kids, and the ride is too harsh for anything more than a short trip when youre in the backseat. if you want a good daily might as well go with an m3 that has actual backseats and shares most the capability of the m4, or jump up to the the m5, though they arent as athletic anymore since they weigh a billion pounds.

8:20. Reminds me of when I call IT and they ask me if I have turned it off and on again. Cars shouldn’t do that. Too much tech in new cars. That along with bad infotainment, lack of real buttons and knobs, and crazy prices are ruining the driving experience.
The immense amount of depreciation from new to 1-2 years old tells me these are GROSSLY and I mean grossly overpriced from new MSRP. There is no way this car is worth $130k USD. If you said $85k or something close to that, i'd go hmmmmm sure ok. Sharp and fast BMW. But $130k? Yeah no way not ever.
Buddy the m5 cs cost the same as it did 4 years ago. the m4 csl cost the same as it did 2 years ago. The misinformation is insane.
How would you know the CS will depreciate heavily? The standard M4s, yes they do. It's a limited run model. It will keep its value well, once people realise just how good this iteration of an M4 is.

FYI - The Z06 is the same price as this car.
Oh naw. Im taking the Z every single time.
And I’ve started to see more and more of them being priced at MSRP which kind of makes it a no brainer, especially considering the buyer with that much purchase power already probably has a very competent daily driver, also the Z06 is a once in a lifetime value IMO like nothing is as special at that price point

Ones a 2 seater supercar killer, the other is a liveable, all rounder coupe. Us as car people will take the z06 no doubt but i dont think the buyer for the m4cs is cross-shopping it with a z06

All BMW’s sound like shit , same goes for Porsche and all these guys who review them always say how amazing they sound . 911 sounds like my old Briggs and Stratton mower . And you’re right , BMW sounds like a civic .
Agreed. Modern cars sound terrible with very few exceptions. People fawn over the BMWs engines, or Porsche - but yes, they both sound unmusical. Give me a Maserati 4.7, a Busso V6, or a 240Z Inline 6 any day over those. Musical notes.
@@maciejswiercz9737 that's a trademark of bmw and porsche - absolute garbage of a sound. I agree that it's so stupid to see reviewers calling garbage noices (some of them from a speakers) as a "good engine sound", while my vaccuum cleaner has more sound range and emotions

@ExtraThrottleHouse. Now that you've driven the M5 CS and this new M4 CS, which of the two cars has the better steering feel and steering feedback? Are they about the same or is one better than the other?
Don’t like the dashboard AT ALL. The trend away from beautiful analog gauges is such a shame.
People say that but after bmw did this screen style across the front MANY companies have followed suit and now have the same screen setup.

@@jkliao6486 yea it's 100% cost cutting but atleast their are still buttons on the dash and moveable ac unlike other cars. All I was saying is that this layout has now been copied by alot. I like it ALOT MORE then looking down at a tablet. Plus BMW has a perfectly placed drivers scroll wheel. I never have to reach forward and press the screen. The scroll wheel is super responsive and easier to use while driving.

Aside from the looks, we have horrible steering, drivetrain fault/limp mode, insane pricing, no manual transmission.

BMW really is ahead of its time. Its crazy how i go from hating everything to seeing one in person and absolutely falling in love. The new LCI headlights look so MEAN. Straight viper fangs. Even better in yellow or red. 🔥
Yes, but then they TANK their progress with starting price. The price to entry makes it too rich for those that would want one, and not special enough for those that can afford one. No way you are getting this over say a new C8 Z06 or even a new ZR1 that wont be too far off this price. This is a flashy man in a cheap suit wearing a $100k watch.

6:56 u guys are talking about the steering but if u zoom in the steering is set to "comfort" and not "sport" on the screen. Clear as day. Do yall not know u can click and change it. Theirs a sport option.
Speaking as an M340i owner (not the same I know but steering technology is similar), Comfort is often the preferred choice as using sport makes it unnaturally heavy. None of the options change the numb feeling however.
As an M2 owner, comfort steering is best steering.

@@jkliao6486 maybe worse is the wrong word to use here... They are great looking lights that used to set the top tier models apart. If you're spending 3 times as much on a special car, ideally you'd want some bits to stand out and be special. Placing them on the lower tier models "devalues" the top tier models.
@@seb42 If you buy a top trim performance track model for a different real light design, you are the problem and you can only blame yourself when the lights are not exclusive to your 175k car. You know scalpers are mad about LEGO putting a single exclusive minifig from a $599 big set into a $10 small set. It's the same energy, utter stupidity to put it that way.
@@jkliao6486 90% of buyers of this kind of car/price are doing so for the prestige. Limiting that tail light to the high end model, as silly as it may seem, is part of that prestige. It's something that makes it more special. Rational? No. But neither is spending this kind of money on a car.
Not the case, it's only m440i and above. The four cylinder variants do not receive the laser taillights (430i and lower).
First off, what planet can you even get a GT4 RS on? Second, which other planet can you get a GT4 RS for the base price which you are quoting of the GT4 RS, which realistically runs $225K US, with no dealer markup.

I own one (in the UK) and it's a brilliant car. It's a very different, and much improved over competition M4. I find the suspension more comfortable compared to my previous M4 LCI, more compliant, more planted. It's playful but controlled. This is BMW's answer to Porsche 992 GTS with daily practicality. I love it.
What an ugly spec, of an ugly car. Buck-toothed front fascia aside, the G80 4-series rear quarter panel always bothered me. Looks unfinished/undercooked.

BMW M pricing can squarely be put on this new wave of buyers that sell these cars out at 10% finance rates. Unfortunately they don't FEEL like they cost, pretty much just bragging rights.
The front grill looks amazing, especially with the hood. Owning 2024 G80 xdrive , its probably the best performance car you can get for the money right now. Absolute blast to drive.
I feel obligated to mention For Thomas's benefit: Patrick Bateman literally--literally-- murders someone with a chainsaw in "American Psycho".

Note: This has nothing to do about the review. I think it would be fun to pick a number of older cars and review stock Versions compared to lightly modified versions, let’s say $3000-$5000 of mods. Road cars, not track cars maybe 2-4 a year. Love your channel . 👍

Ugly. Would never consider it on that merit alone. Until BMW can actually design good looking sports cars again (thinking mid 2000s as last age when they were good looking), they will never be on my shopping list. Ugh.
Please add some cameras around the track to get an exterior view of your laps! The interior only view of you whipping the car around the track is lacking and doesn’t measure up to the overall quality of your usual content. Love the lap time series otherwise!
Would CUP2Rs bridge the gap in lap time between the CS and CSL? Or would they definitely give the CS the edge? Would be interesting to have a CS on Rs, just for reference.
Can’t afford it, but I like the way this M4 CS looks. Love the wheels. I would pick a different color, but man, this is nice.

I think you go for one of this ones if you really love BMW, if not, for the money you go for a Porsche or either for a early models of Gallardo which I personally love as a Lambo dude... but that's just my personal opinion
Man I really wish the kidneys were actually separated where the thick line is and the bottom kidneys were just one conected thing. It just looks a little strange. Everything else about the car looks great. That grill just needs a lot of work.
That's how they did it with e46, if I remember correctly. It was the regular one 1st, then the hardcore almost-slick tires CSL came out, and in the end they made a CS version as a "best of but not as hardcore and thus usable" one.
Didn't BMW shake up their entire design management team just now? I thought they said customers liked the hideous grills and that they are only targeting customers who likes the grill, which coincides with the customer who can afford their product and that all the design is performance related and it needs to be that big despite the crashing structure blocking half of the grill? Why did they chicken out? Aren't they setting up the new trend?

The CSL tailights actually come on every 4 series starting 2025. Sooo 430i s have csl lights..
BMW lost all the marbles. I see a heavy weight fat car with an automatic, no good steering feel and ipads on the dash. I think I might be done with modern cars.
just get a proper sports car ...all the brokeys who keep saying we can go grocery shopping or put a child seat ..they will never own one ..if they do they will never track it ..coz they broke.
So the rear end and side quarter Arched Panels are really good in the styling department but for over $100K that front end needs a redesign as well as the phablet mounted driver display. Really poor design and integration.
They should redo the BMW M4 CSL with the latest infotainment of this BMW M4 CS.
The looks have actually grown on me. Would still never buy a BMW, but looks great esp in that color.
paying 120 grand to have an inline6 is pure comedy. It's up there with the new c63s.

If it wasn't for the bucket racing seats I'd buy one of these instead of the M4 Comp. Those are just too rough to get in and out of for a daily. Other than that it's a great car. I passed on two of these at my local dealers offered to me because of those damn seats!
