    Bonjour, Je vous remercie pour cette vidéo. Elle m'est d'une grande utilité car je ne savais pas, justement, comment créer un lien avec les 2 mains sur une pagaie.
    Daz ne fait cependant pas dans le simple. Heureusement que des personnes comme vous partage leur savoir.

    9:29 re: the IK chain, try selecting the Bone node of the Figure Cube and making an IK chain from that. I think it's because you're trying to make a chain for the entire "figure" and not just a bone. I'd try it but I'm waiting on a scene to load.

    Thinking exactly about the problem happening at 13:36 - it (probably) can be avoided if the limitation of the arm bones are turned off... BUT in this case the arm can move to impossible poses. The root of the problem is the rigging of the arms (and especially the hands) sux. On theory (again) new limits can be defined but it's a PITA to do it with every new model.
    Edit: This seems to be the problem at 20:30 too - the legs movements are inside their limits, but not the hands.

      Thanks for the information. I wish we could perfect this as actually "pinning" down an object would be so beneficial when posing.

    To move the Null quickly, use Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V on te Transforms Tabs that is open on the right of your screen.
    Copy model Translation and paste to Null Translation.
    When you try to create Ik Chain on a cube.
    What are the 3 bones DAZ may pick for you in the Cube rig ?

    Bonjour,
    Votre vidéo m'a effectivement donnée beaucoup d'informations sauf qu'en fait, ce que je cherche à faire n'a pas fonctionné.
    Savez-vous comment je peux rattacher les 2 mains (gauche et droite) sur une pagaie afin que tout le haut du corps subissent les mouvements en même temps sans lâcher la pagaie. Merci.

    I found a way to sort of do it (link to props and even primitives). Basically you create the primitive and move it into position. You then crate the null and parent it to the primitive. After that you create the IK chain.
    Now, when you move the prop .. the hand will move with it.

      @notfromthisworld7672 Let me know how it goes and whether or not that's what you were looking for. I used to do some animating in an online game similar to second life in 3ds max a handful of years ago and became something of a local celeb lol. Making animations that propelled me to that status sometimes took some "out of the box" thinking.

      Trust me, I have asked the same question many times! You'd think they could add a tab where you click on what you want to link, then connect them. Perhaps in future updates! LOL.

    DAZ3D fails at IK which is one of the most basic requirements of rigging.

    Potentially useful video but why the author speaks so slowly? Video could be two times shorter if speaking normally, and the annoying preliminary words could take two times less time ("Those are two girls, Genesis 8 girls, and they will have to keep their hands together" etc). This is not a tutorial for newbies so what's the use to explain about "Genesis 8 girls" (just an example). This doesn't mean the tutorial wasn't useful - just the opposite.

      This video was created for a friend who is Czech. At the time his English was pretty poor and he was just getting started with Daz Studio.

      PS. Sometimes the chains doesn't work as intended because the rotation limits are not correct, especially on the hands. Turning off limits may yield better results. @@notfromthisworld7672
