I did not know you could do that with the hands in powerpose, that will make things so much easier. Thanks Jay.

Under the Pose Controls for the legs, I use the Knees Up dial to bend the figure's legs, and then bend the lower legs and feet.

Wished that Daz would make symmetry posing when using the tools, like in Blender. Would make posing a little easier and faster.

I never heard of symmetry posing how-do-you-do that do you just click the X in pose mode? is there an X in pose mode?? I never looked👊😀

Scene Tools by 3D Universe can do this. You can pose the right arm for example, click a button and it gets mirrored to the other side. I always wanted to make a video about it, this is the perfect opportunity: www.daz3d.com/daz-studio-4-scene-tools-set-3--pose-symmetry?cjref=1&cjevent=e099a37e5be311ed819bf0b10a82b82d

I can't seem to find answer to this, can anyone help me? PowerPose is laggy for me, but not rotation or the ball thing. I have tried with smooth shaded without textures and at the lowest model resolution. The powerpose is consistently laggy. Someone suggested it's because I have so many morphs downloaded. If so how ensure only existing morphs applied on the figure loads without other stuff so can pose and set up render without hassle?

That's pretty cool, Jay. Looks like some things have been added since last time I used DAZ. I hope things here will calm down a wee bit so I can get that DAZ machine all tricked out.

posing in daz is so damn convoluted compared to other packages. It's an aspect of the program that really puts me off of using it.

    • @Daz_3D

We have FK, IK, direct bone manipulation, the Power Pose controller, Puppeteer blend space and a plethora of pre-made pose presets from the store. This is a lot more than many other packages offer. Please try them all, and let us know what other posing features you are looking for.

@@Daz_3D I'm sorry but I'm not seeing it. Pinning a foot to the ground for example and then manipulating the pelvis does not yield the same result as a typical IK chain in any other 3d package.
In every other 3d package, the end joint is locked to it's position, even if you drag the mass away from that spot the IK joint chain tries to be in that position and will extend the chain to get there. I hope this makes sense.
I think the pinning method is suppose to work the same, but it does not. The joint chain will yield unexpected results when you manipulate the base or mass of the chain. Or in most cases, it simply ignores the pin and just moves with the mass as if the pin doesn't even exist!
I find it adds more frustration and odd results more than anything.

Is Genesis 9 a 'Woke They /Them'? What's going on with the 'pects' on the male specimen? I've studied anatomy for years and I know that a man with tits has a hormonal imbalance! Muscles I can understand protruding but those are TOO round, firm and fully packed! I'm going back to Gen. 8! And whats up with the 'Hunchback', as the male kneeling Model seems to be afflicted?

As much as I enjoyed Daz the money sink is insane, every year or whatever they make a new figure that isn't backwards compatible making all the cloths hair and other props useless. I still don't understand why they couldn't keep V4 and simply make mechanical improvements including mesh improvements to that model.
