I had problems topping my fairway woods, but after adjusting my set up so I was putting slightly more weight on my lead side and extending my follow through, I'm getting a lot more accurate consistency with my ball striking. Great advice, thank you Danny
Been following these videos for a 2 or 3 years now and I have to say they are a delight to watch and the cumulative effect on my golf game has been very positive. My slice/fade is fading and I have the tools to hit straighter. My iron striking is improving from being dire. I get out of bunkers mostly first time (deep ones in our Links Course). My woods I am no longer afraid of and the hybrids are fairly consistent. Putting been a bit dodgy recently but that's golf for you. Thank you Danny
As a self taught golfer of 15 years; then lost 7 years of play due to cancer treatments. My lowest handicap level was a 3. Now back to a 17 😞. I would say the these two clubs were/are the most difficult to figure out (driver & fairway metal [7 or 9]). This is exactly what I have been missing for a long time! Thank you so much. Clear, concise and very well explained. Can't wait to give it a go this weekend and start to bring my index back to single digits.
Just when I was about to give up on hybrids and woods, I put a 4i in my bag, this video now makes me want to go back out there. Small adjustments. And your “topping” of the ball still went farther than most people who “top” their ball.
As a casual golfer, my fairway woods are the bane of my existence. Can't wait to try these tips out, and get the confidence to pull these sticks out of my bag. Thanks for the great advice!
I love my fairway woods and hybrid and have hit them much cleaner by forcussing on the very front of the ball or ever on the grass just ahead of it. I now even take a divot with my irons by doing this. Thanks once more for all your great advice Danny.
Brilliant tip as usual. I'm starting to recognise where I'm going wrong. I thought my inconsistency was all about my swing. I think it might be my set up and especially ball position, which is pretty random. Definitely working on this tomorrow.
This lesson is perfect. I’m a newbie and I’ve really struggled hitting 3 and 5 wood off the deck. So much so that I have resorted to not having the confidence to even try. This lesson I’m taking to the range and hopefully will help me. Thank you
The three wood is a difficult club to use of the deck, most of the ladies I play with don't use it anymore! I use on a par 5 my driver, 5 wood and then a iron!
Danny this lesson of yours couldn’t come at a better time! Thank you so much for explaining the ball positions for these fairway woods and hybrids. You’re excellent but you must be told that all the time! I’m saving this video! 😍😍👏
As always, specific tutorial supported with video & verbal feedback that empowers all learning styles! Quite an effective educator there Danny; you are appreciated by your students! The former coupled with a great personality makes the lesson stick and allows the medicine to go down!
Danny thank you! I have picked up and retained so much more info than anyone has ever taught me just by watching a few of your videos! Thank you so much! Off to the range tomorrow and hope I can put these tips to use! Please dont go away Danny haha
All teachers talk too much, but it's clear you want to share a lot of good info. The point about ball position (lean right for driver & left for woods) is a subtle change, but visually is easy to see. Thank you!
I've been using my hybrid Adams IDEA 4-iron lately at the range and applying the same setup technique as I do with my irons and I was amazed at how well it connected. Now I see that I was absolutely correct when you were talking about making sure I come up with the top of the stick first and the club head afterwards in this video specifically for hybrids. Thanks Danny, amazing content as always
This is exactly what I need to know! I was having such a hard time hitting my fairway woods yesterday and I really think this will help! Thank you! I will try it and let you know!
Thanks for the tuition Danny. I relate to everything you have said. Executing it is another matter but at lest I can work on my extension through the ball. I was a bit inconsistent with my fairway wood yesterday but can now reset my address position regarding that. A massive THANKS.
Danny, I love how easy the swing feels with your suggestions. Today I tried your tips at the course and I crushed a 5 wood 215 yds to within 2 feet of the flag for a most improbable birdie in the toughest hole at my local course (a handicap 1 hole)! The normal version of me tends to top those shots for a whopping 100 yard roll.
Another great video Danny, thank you. I love using my 4 hybrid, but too nervous of using my fairway off the deck. This lesson gives me some useful advice, as I thought the fairway needed to be further forward in the stance. Thanks once again.
Hi Danny- Another great, simple to understand message. The ball positioning was especially important to me because I've always tended to hit fairway woods and hybrids too far forward and this smacked me right in the head and got my attention. Playing tomorrow and I'll post you on my progress. As always thanks for a great lesson.-Stay safe-Russ
Brilliant video and perfect;y well timed! With little to NO back rotation, I recently purchase a 5, 6, 7, & 8 hybrids and can now hit them perfectly thanks to your video. . If at all possible, and albeit to a smaller audience of your subscribers, any new videos for seniors with little to no back turn video would be highly helpful. My friends and I are all finding it harder with and learning how to hit any and all clubs for us would be VERY well time. Keep up the amazing videos you continue to make for us golfers.May THANKS Danny!
I’ve cleaned up my short game, improved my putting and am crushing driver… but since the end of last season I had lost my way with 3 wood and hybrid. Pretty much stopped using them, all together. Really could use those tools in my game instead of having to lay up on par 5s. This drill makes sense. Thanks for the tips, Danny. Gotta get my confidence back with them.
Once again you've explained and demonstrated this concisely and clearly. I really feel like I can take these tips and drills out to the range today and work on them just as you've shown. Thank you!
Just started playing hybrids and this video is the best instructional between driver and hybrid!!! I was struggling and very frustrated and fixed me big time thanks so much.
This is awesome. I’ve been inconsistent with these, sometimes I hit them great and sometimes not. I see my foot positioning has been wrong. Thanks Danny. You’re always putting out really helpful, practical teaching. God bless you
Excellent, clear easy to follow advice. Explanation of why it is vital to extend the arms will encourage me EXTEND THE ARMS & AVOID TOPPING. MUST DO THAT. Old, short hitters like me use fairway woods & hybrids rather than irons.
Danny, Thank you so much for the videos. Easy to understand and translate to the course. Have struggled to be consistent of the tee and your steering wheel video has helped me go from a D player to C in 6 weeks with consistent rounds in the 80s
Perfect timing this tip. Have a 3-hybrid and just could t get on with it but this video has cleared up a lot of the “why” I could t get on with it. Will put your tips into practice today 🙌🏾
It's been a while since I watched one of your videos - UA-cam stopped putting it in my notifications (???). The added editing (showing the arc of the club head, the tilt, etc.) is a great improvement - and that's saying something, because your videos have always been so, so good. Thanks so much.
Great video. I’m a senior and took this to the range today with my new 3 hybrid, what a difference in strike pattern and distance. Thank you so much. Just need to sort out hitting down on my driver 🙈
Excellent tips. With my fairway wood or hybrid I also don’t rush. That extra half a second in my transition from back to down swing lets the club just start to fall right back towards the ball and that has helped me strike the ball much better. Thanks for all the great videos
Eagle a Par 5 this week. 284 Yard drive. ( 53 years old ) 212 Yard 4 Hybrid. On fringe 18 feet to hole. Putt from there to get the Eagle. I credit Danny with so much. I often take his advice to the range or chipping green when my game goes bad!! Awesome instruction and guidance to get me back on track. Shot 78 on a Par 71 course called Miskanaw Golf Club in Alberta Canada.
I NEVER pull out my 3 wood. Because I top it every time. Turns out it is because I play the ball in the same position as I would a driver off the tee. You strike again sir, well played. Thank you.
Wow. Understand why I was so inconsistent. I play off the deck exactly why I would top every third fw shot. This makes total sense. Cant wait to try it this afternoon!
Hi Danny. This concept of arc position has really helped with my driver and irons. You explain things very clearly showing what to do and why it works. Great teaching work!
My last few rounds, my woods have been very inconsistent and I can see now a lot of that is my stance. Even though I'm putting more weight on my left leg, I'm still standing too much like a driver in terms of foot position. This video along with your others on using woods should give me an advantage now! Thanks, Danny! Going out this afternoon so I will try to remember your tips!
Thanks Danny, great content as always. Nothing worse than hitting a drive down the middle then topping my 3wood 50 yds. I’ll give this a go next time out 👍🏻
Thank you very much for this video - it crashed away all my fears to use the driver. Brilliant explanation where i have to put on my sternum, my left foot and my ball. It works fantastic on the golf course!
Revisited this before going on today and off 13.1, hit 11/11 fairways, as well as hitting 2/2 fairway woods perfectly, on way to a winter golf 4 over par (with 2 x 3 putts on shocking greens). Brilliant Danny! Ta very much 😊
Danny, your videos have improved my game so much thanks for everything and keep going! Always liking the videos and set up the notifications for the new ones.
As usual, all good stuff. For me, leaning the shaft slightly forward at setup and impact was the key to solid center strikes and higher ball flight. Seems counterintuitive but you have to get the face of the club on the ball for good compression.
I’ve been watching different instruction videos for years. Danny stands out as one of the few (Martin Hall included) who make their instructions as clear and uncomplicated as possible! My only advice is to take away just a couple of Danny’s pointers at a time onto the course to avoid paralysis by analysis.
Cheers Danny, thanks for my morning lesson. Off to the course 6:22am tee time. I will let you know how I do. My journey to score mid 80s. Happy Saturday from Sacramento California California
You're the best coach on UA-cam. I always enjoy your videos. Thanks for all you do to help us.
I had problems topping my fairway woods, but after adjusting my set up so I was putting slightly more weight on my lead side and extending my follow through, I'm getting a lot more accurate consistency with my ball striking. Great advice, thank you Danny
Thank you Don and well done!
By far the best tutorial videos on UA-cam. Love the way you help me visualise the technique and get the feel.
Really happy to help Francis
Yes i agree its very clear and intuitive. Really complements my learning of hitting the woods and driver as. Im in a class now as well.
When it comes to UA-cam golf coaches Danny you are the best BIG STYLE

No one cares
@@eddieMFsauceboyyou have a playlist called videos that make me cry 🤣🤣🤣
@@taylord44 you have an anime picture and have probably never gotten laid
These are the best golf lessons. I’ve learnt so much about ball position in the set up. Thank you
Glad you like them!
This guy is the best coach I've ever seen and yes, his tips work. They worked for me, I hope they work for you!
@mattcody4933 thank you so much for your lovely message. I really appreciate it 🙏🏻
Just when I was about to give up on hybrids and woods, I put a 4i in my bag, this video now makes me want to go back out there. Small adjustments.

This is a great tip. Tried it today in practice. Worked wonders. Thanks for sharing.
Brilliant tip as usual. I'm starting to recognise where I'm going wrong. I thought my inconsistency was all about my swing. I think it might be my set up and especially ball position, which is pretty random. Definitely working on this tomorrow.
Always go to set up first. A poor set up make it hard to produce a good golf swing
Following for two years love the simplicity and consistency of the instruction!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Appreciate the support Gregg
This lesson is perfect. I’m a newbie and I’ve really struggled hitting 3 and 5 wood off the deck. So much so that I have resorted to not having the confidence to even try. This lesson I’m taking to the range and hopefully will help me. Thank you

Awesome Danny!!! Very understanding of the positions and the pressure on the left foot, when appropriate. Thank you so much!
Much clearer explanation this time, helpful video.
Glad it was helpful!
I was having issues this past weekend and your lesson was perfectly timed. Thank you.
Thanks Loren!
Great instruction! Appreciate the tips. Pured my fairway woods and Driver today. Keep the coaching coming!
@SethnWendy you are most welcome. Thank you so much for your lovely comment 🙏🏻
Danny this lesson of yours couldn’t come at a better time! Thank you so much for explaining the ball positions for these fairway woods and hybrids. You’re excellent but you must be told that all the time! I’m saving this video! 😍😍👏
As always, usable information. Thank you, Danny.
Danny I’ve been looking all over for a tutorial like this for fairway woods and hybrid. Just brilliant. Much appreciated
Absolutely brilliant tutorial Danny. You bring so much value to Golfers looking for instruction on UA-cam. Cheers
Happy to help

Danny thanks for this, just what I was looking for. Put it into practice yesterday and without doubt one of my best scores to date.
Thanks for this video Danny, it’s come at exactly the right time for me, as I’m going to get fit for a fairway wood and hybrid tomorrow morning.
Best of You Tube. Reminds us to double check what we know to do. Instantly helpful without screwing up your swing. Thanks
Danny you have completely changed my golf thoughts with your swing arc and knowing where the bottom of the swing is. Total game changer for me.
Really happy to help
You are by far the best video/internet teach I have ever seen so easy to understand, thanks you so much

the swing animation is very cool, Danny! Thanks for this magnificent lesson.
I've incorporated this into my preshot routine including my irons and resulting in better contact with more consistency. Thanks!
Just the lesson I needed today! Thank you
Pleasure Fiona, love to hear how you get on
Great advice Danny, very clearly explained.
Thank you Mark!
Danny, you are an awesome teacher!! I love watching your lessons! You make things so clear, and I love your accent!!

Great add on to iron stance at address, the simple move of slight forward shaft lean has brought great improvement.
Thanks

Many thanks for this weekend video !! I’m on the way to practice. Will keep you posted my progressing swing 😂⛳️ Merci
Please do
Good reminder! Been dealing with my 3 wood and 3 hybrid a lot lately with mixed results. I'll go through the line up process and practice this a lot.
Love to hear how you get on

Have fun Rolly
Great video Danny and explanation of the subtle differences between hitting with the driver, fairway woods and hybrids.
Happy to help Gordon
Great video Danny. Again , I will try this on the range. My game has already approved a lot. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊
Danny you are the best teacher. I have been chopping average 5 strokes per game using your lessons
Top video Danny. Thanks as always. I have two games this weekend so looking forward to getting to the course. Have a great weekend
Great stuff as usual… gonna put these tips to use this afternoon!!
Thank you Danny for a great tip. Always impressed with your teaching videos!
Thanks Tom 😁
Thanks Danny, great content as always. Nothing worse than hitting a drive down the middle then topping my 3wood 50 yds. I’ll give this a go next time out 👍🏻
short, to the point rather than long grandiose session, informative basics that all can learn from. Keep up the great work & Thanks!
Thank you Jim 😁
I've been really struggling with my woods and hybrids. Applying this in my next game. Thanks for this!
Another great lesson, Danny! Thank you!
My pleasure!
Thank you very much for this video - it crashed away all my fears to use the driver. Brilliant explanation where i have to put on my sternum, my left foot and my ball. It works fantastic on the golf course!
Excellent Lesson post
Hope it helps Khaleel

Amazing to hear Alan well done
Before I hit anything, I pray.
Based
And get a cuss word on standby 😂
Fr the swear word on standby is so relatable 💀💀💀
Don't pray, Spray! lol
How does that work for you?
Danny, your videos have improved my game so much thanks for everything and keep going! Always liking the videos and set up the notifications for the new ones.
Danny, I love this!!! I like how you explain things!
Thanks for this Danny, been struggling with my woods and getting clean contact. Will give this a go today and see how I get on 👍
Love to hear how you get on Suzie
As usual, all good stuff. For me, leaning the shaft slightly forward at setup and impact was the key to solid center strikes and higher ball flight. Seems counterintuitive but you have to get the face of the club on the ball for good compression.
Hi Danny, love your teaching and many thanks for sharing. Your last video on pitching helped me to shave 5 strokes !!! Lovely
Thank you Danny! This helps fine tune the swing!
Love your videos!!! Thank you for all the help!
You are so welcome Cindy
This is a great go to video when things start to get erratic and inconsistent.
Over a million subs, well deserved
Thanks so much for the support
Love it Danny. So easy.
Absolutely Mike, have a great weekend
I’ve been watching different instruction videos for years. Danny stands out as one of the few (Martin Hall included) who make their instructions as clear and uncomplicated as possible! My only advice is to take away just a couple of Danny’s pointers at a time onto the course to avoid paralysis by analysis.
Cheers Danny, thanks for my morning lesson. Off to the course 6:22am tee time. I will let you know how I do. My journey to score mid 80s.
Happy Saturday from Sacramento California California
As always from Danny another great drill👍
Super helpful. Play yesterday and used this technique throughout the day. Something so simple had a huge impact on my long game.
Thanks Bill 😁
Spot on video instruction. I like the bit about the spray powder as well... IMMEDIATE feedback is crucial.
Nice work!
