Using Hydbond heat activated adhesive to make patches that really stick!
In this first video, in series, I'll use the Xtool D1 laser machine to engrave and cut the Hydbond Leatherette material and heat press using a common clothes iron!
A perfect way to enter the world of heat pressed patches!

Great video Greg! Can't wait to see the next one with a Co2 laser. I have the Monport K40 and I have some leatherette to make some patches with. I ordered some Hydbond through your link that you posted.

Excellent video. Any feedback on how to translate these settings to a D1 Pro 20w? I'm totally new to lasers, and there is so much to learn. Thanks in advance.
Thanks- to convert from the D1 10 watt in the video to a D1 Pro 20 watt you can increase the speed by roughly 2x or reduce the power by about 1/2! Thanks for watching.
How do put the adhesive on the actual patch material?
The adhesive is heat activated. Press for 10-12 seconds @ 220 degrees with medium pressure. The adhesive is sold under the name Durra-Bull from www.lonestaradhesive.com
