Well, first, I'm glad you have more stable housing. I suggest getting 2 more rugs...one for outside the door and one right at the door, as soon as you step in, to help get most of the dirt and mud off of your shoes. Maybe that will minimize the amount of dirt on your floor.

How about you take your shoes off as you in the front door. That’s what we do in Canada. In that way, no dirt is carried in the house.

Wow that shed looks great Bria. I could see myself living in a tiny house or a shed. It would just have to be on like a 5 to 8 acre wooded lot. That is just me. I love being outside in the woods. I really love the camping vibe. You have some great ideas for the shed. No need to rush. The journey is all part of the fun. So proud of you Bria. Keep it up.

Hey Bria a portable AC with a built in heater would be a great investment for your shed home

  • @courtneeedwards9682

You can cut out a window and frame the ac unit in the wall with 2x4 studs and cement board because its mold resistant and support it on the outside with a stiff knee.

How’s it holding up? Any ants/bugs coming in thru the small gaps? Looks like a great thing you have going. I also live in a shed although I built mine from local timber, I could not afford a prebuilt structure of anykind. I was just curious if you had any issues. Mine is 8x 8x and has 1 window. (My father gave me his old bathroom window and I designed/framed the front wall around it. Have a blessed day.

Thanks for sharing some of your story! That’s pretty cool you did it in an 8’8 id love to see your setup. During the day I often have the doors open to see nature so of course bugs may fly in but I utilize an off candle for mosquitoes and old school back hands for flies lol 😂 at night it’s not a big issue but I sweep often to make sure it doesn’t attract ants to my floor.

Such a great idea. You have a frame now and can make changes as you go. I see some light coming in at 6:40 you could get a tube of caulk and seal that up so no creepy crawlies can get in.

  • @MsSassyMT

I would imagine this is better than the car. Don't they have window kits that you can buy for sheds? That would be great. Also, for the AC unit, maybe you could get a raised metal shelf sturdy enough to hold the unit on top and give you additional storage.

I truly admire your authenticity and creativity. I look forward to seeing how you develop and progress.
Regarding your bathroom area. You could also consider a foldable small dog pool or large shallow plastic basin, with a manual/portable 2 Gallon pump shower (used mostly @ camping or in Van life). Your idea of an outdoor shower sounds much more rad, but for the meantime you could still manage with an indoor one.
I wish you all the greatest fortune moving forward.

It connects to my power bank and then to the house just like when I lived in the tent.

Hi beautiful lady. I'm proud of you, and your will to succeed. You've come a long way, and actually you've bypassed a high percentage of the population in building your shed because you're no longer facing rent, which is what so many people are trying to get away from. My one VERY IMPORTANT suggestion to you is get you some spray foam insulation, and fill in all those gaps where you can see outside. Everything from snakes and bugs to spiders will come in there if you don't. Congratulations, and I'm proud of you!!! P.S. Don't forget the kingdom of YAHUAH(God) is at hand!!!
