Well done you, we have 3 of these in the band & love 'em, BUT a couple of them clashed & dropped out. This is the ONLY vid I've found that explains how to change channels. The manual would have told me, but that's been lost by everyone !!!
I hope you wonderful success mate!. Top notch videos to the point all the info i need and not to cluttered just a good informative watch. You need more views and subs man.
Great review :) Did you experience any "noise" or "hum"? I just got the Lekato ws70 UHF and I find that there's a hum that becomes more noticeable as the sound of the strings fades out. I really like the unit but this makes it difficult to use it for recordings (ok for practice though). Thanks!
Hi, i didn't notice any hum with my unit (well...nothing more than i usually do at certain times of the day with the power in my house) cheers and thanks for the comment
I've been using the AKG wireless bug system for yrs now. I just bought a Hoison rechargeable set but haven't received them yet. That's for a in ear monitor system I'm setting up. It's a 5.8 system so I'll see when I get everything. My bug system works so good.
Hi! I would be interested in buying the LEKATO 5.8G Wireless Guitar System . I already own an Xvive U2 and would buy a second wireless system to have a completely cable-free set-up: guitar - xvive transmitter - xvive receiver - first pedal in my pedalboard - last pedal in my pedalboard - lekato transmitter - lekato receiver - amp. I wonder if this combination will work or if using the xvive and lekato at the same time can create conflicts between the two devices. Have you tried to run the Lekato and a similar product like the xvive in the same environment, like I would do? Also, what is your experience with this device six months after posting this video? Any issues? Thanks!!
Hi I don’t see why that wouldn’t work :) I haven’t had any issues with it other than it knocking out my WiFi as I said in the video but switching channels sorts that out, I haven’t tried what you are proposing but bands run multiple systems on stage which is why i say I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, I hope that helps you out, any other questions just ask :)) cheers
I saw some other videos similar to this, and some new wireless systems have come out since this video was posted. I went with the lekato ws70. Its about 45 bucks on amazon, uses ultra high frequency, and has 5 hour battery life. It's the cheapest UHF I've found and another company offers the same exact device for 70 dollars. On the first day I had mine. Pulgged it into my amp on the second floor of my fraternity house, cranked the volume up. Then took my bass across the house and into the basement with 0 cut outs. Likely over the stated 40m range and through multiple walls. Being able to walk anywhere in the house and jam is awesome. It confused some of my fraternity brothers at first and now the 2 guitar players I live with are getting it. Definitely recomend wireless, specifically UHF and the lekato ws70 is the best deal right now.
Hi Derek, thanks for the video. One question about pickups: did you test also active ones? (the Stratocaster has infact passive pickups) thank you, Matteo 🎸
I have an electric classical guitar with an active preamp system. I purchased another inexpensive unit that works but when I turn the sound up the sound distorts. Have you tried this with an acoustic guitar with a powered (9 volt) preamp system.
Been watching lots of wireless vids. No one ever talks about noise. I have tried these xherp one and the is always a noise in the background. Are these silent? That's what I want to know. Thanks.
They are silent but it’s also going to depend on what other signals, WiFi etc you have in your house that may introduce some noise, I didn’t however experience any noise with it, hope that helps you, cheers
Actually, these wireless systems seem to have noise gates or noise reduction systems which in turn reduces your volume output. The cons that most reviews seem to not catch is that these offer lower volume than the conventional guitar cords. I'm not sure if that's the same with the old expensive wireless units before these
They should automatically pair, but if not then push the small button on the guitar receiver I think (could be the other one) and it’ll switch channels
Derek Paul Guitar thank you, but I tried that and it’s still not working.....The red battery light isn’t turning off on the receiver whether I power it on or off.
I just received that same Lekato wireless system and have yet to try it. When you say that your Lekato system initially "knocked out" your wifi, did the wifi automatically restore itself after you changed the channel on the Lekato system? Now, I am a little leery about even using my Lekato system. I am not a wifi expert and don't want to screw up my wifi router to the extent that I have to call in an expert to fix things. It took me long enough to set up my wifi system. Thank you for the fine review. I wish you well.
Thanks Jerry, yes when i changed the channel the wifi just worked again automatically, it may not affect yours at all, maybe i was unlucky initially. Cheers!
@@DerekPaulGuitar Wow! That was some kind of great service and thank you for your response. Very reassuring. You have restored my confidence. I'll be setting up my Lekato system soon.
I watched over 2 dozen wireless kit videos before finally clicking on this one and I'm sold. This is a fantastically done review!
Bizarre Noir I really appreciate the feedback thank you! And enjoy playing wireless guitar!

what a beautifully made review video. Excellent quality.

Can you put mains usb plug to charge the units like your mobile phone or better use USB to a laptop etc.... ?
It comes with a USB charging cable and takes around an hour or so, so just use a USB mains plug or your PC and they'll charge fine, cheers!

It would be nice if someone would demo how to switch the channels, showing the lights working, etc.
Thanks for the comment, just push the channel selector button to switch between the 4 channels, you can do the same on both units, hope it helps

They work I heard from reviewer on Amazon
it's the exact system as the Ammoon just with the different name sticker.

I’ve never tried it to be honest as I don’t have a PA or acoustic amp, that’s interesting though
