Marty, it is showing a 2.4 GHZ Wireless, which is common amongst Wireless systems Cordless home phones for those of us who still have one (MY wife has a home office so we need a landline) and my WiFi Mesh has a 2.4GHZ channel. Do you notice any interference with other wireless components running the same frequency?
What about Latency? I couldn't really tell a difference but you were also playing with a little bit of delay on your riffs so I couldn't give a "fair judgement"
I had a wireless system I loved the freedom but it killed my tone, even with my lows cranked it really watered them out. it sounded like I was playing out of a tin can. Ditched it. and stuck with cords. But one less thing to trip on,
so theres np delay then that's badass. I have a wireless set up for my tv/ stereo and theres a bit of a delay wich would make me weary of buying something like this ,so thanks for sharing
michael s. clark that’s my concern, interference and delay, I had an older audio technics wireless system and I hated it, my tone got squashed terribly
Marty how many feet away from your AMP can it handle with good tone, not how far it can go. Also, can it handle EMG pick ups?
Ok this video confirms that you REALLY read the comments because I asked if you could do a wireless gear.
Either that or a really nice coincidence. Thank you Marty
thank you robot wolf!
Woah this is cool. Marty thank you for teaching almost everything I know on guitar. I'm not amazing but I will be there one day. 😂 i just wanted to thank you for the awesome videos.
You play beautifully Marty and thank you so much for your videos, they are invaluable. Excellent bit of kit, we're getting quite spoiled nowadays with the level of gear available for the price.
That sounded better than ever. Great guitar.
amazing, keep up with the good stuff, if you accept any recommendation about upcoming videos - blur song 2 riff, nice beginner video.
this was awesome
LUV me sum Marty👍
This is so crazy men
Could you please do a tutorial on "The Promise" by Chris Cornell? If I remember it was the last song he released before his death and it is a really good song.
wish there was a midi version of this
pls a lesson of beautiful by smashing pumpkins!! it would be sick
Does the wirelessness delay the sound? That's all I wanna know
Hey, great video but one question, what is the jam track you play at 2:43? Thanks
Marty I’ve had my xvive for about 2 years and used them on both of my electric and acoustic electric guitars. More recently the xvive stopped working. I charged them but they still don’t work. I used them sparingly not all gigs. They have internal batteries that apparently loose their charge capacity. Have any info on this?
Thanks
U so cool marty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Marty it’s been a while since we have had an Albert King style lesson. What say you?
would this work with a active bass
Any delay with the system?
Hello, could you please do a tutorial of Deuce by KISS, that would be awesome
Nice Tenacious D reference! Please do Whiskey and You by Chris Stapleton! 🙏🏻
go on ultimate guitar and search for it there. i found a very good version plus you can just learn the riff by ear its pretty straight forward. Look up Aaron Lewis's version of the song. it is my favorite by far
ViZy ....thx for the info, I’ll check it out. I actually prefer Stapleton’s version but both are really good. Appreciate it...cheers!
Ever learn strange brew Marty
Mine has brite ringing sound . Help!
How do you walk around playing without a strap? That's like master level stuff!
Its an invisible strap
I can do it with my Strat by hooking my finger near the arm. Harder to do with my Paul. Too heavy and not comfortable enough grip. I do it just not too long. My bass is even heavier but got good grip for some reason. I got great straps for every one of them just don't keep straps on all the time. Also have 2 different kinds of wireless systems AKG wireless bug, and Getaria rechargeable system. That's my IEM system. But at home I use whichever is easier at time.
Because he sit
His “hat cam” has a glass you can see him holding his phone😂
@@phalspar the guitar was invisible!!
4:10 come on Marty you're not even playing it😂
Lmao
Can you do some reviews on cheap version of expensive pedals? That would be cool
Does the U2 receiver include a complimentary visit from The Edge?
Amazing Marty, you never missed a note even going to the restroom. You are the Master!
4:09 "hat cam"
colin - I was hoping someone else noticed that
Lol "hat cam" fail, tried to run from your reflection lol
i was just kidding anyway
Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
So, what's your review? Good, bad or indifferent?
Hey Marty, thanks for the vid, I’ve had this system for about 6 months, it’s excellent, gigged with it lots of times, no problems. Bass player in my band has the same system, no conflicts or other issues, good battery life etc. I had a smooth hound system before and the xvive is just miles better.
oh hey that's great to hear Paul!!
I've been watching Marty for so long that I feel like I know him. He's a good dude!
Learned my first chords from Marty
Am I crazy or did the wireless demo with the camera view seem fake? The video said “hat cam” but in the reflection of a window at 4:10 shows him walking with the camera in his hands, with no guitar. Idk if the camera view was supposed to show his view of where we was going, but it seems highly unlikely that the footage is real time of him playing while walking around. Maybe I’m crazy haha, but just what I saw. Also I don’t doubt the capabilities of the gear, but it feels like it was faked for promotion or smth
damn I've been bamboozled, thanks for pointing that out.
after my 4th or 5 charge i am still getting over 9 hours of play in about 12 uses (meaning i used it about a dozen times in that 9 hours).....love it....comes with a charger chord that will charge both transmitter and receiver at the same time
Marty we need more Beatles covers(preferably “Rain”😁)
Marty you got thin😂😂😂👏
Think you could teach yer blues Marty preferably the dirty Mac version
I’m thinking about getting one
Hi Marty could you teach Cherub Rock by Smashing Pumpkins? That would be an awesome lesson!
4:10 m8 we can see ur reflection
😂😂
i need one of these! love you marty you're my day 1 when it comes to guitar lessons online!!! I remember when i was 8 getting my guitar out and borrowing my mother's iPod 4th generation and searching up 'Marty Schwartz' for some snazzy riffs. Now I'm nearly 17 and I am going for a music career. I'm proud of you for making such awesome lesson videos and proud of myself for playing for all these years,
Marty how about doing a review of the HX Stomp by line 6. I bought one hoping it would be easy to use and at one point thought I would use it by plugging it directly to the PA(no amp). The learning curve is more than I expected. I do mostly solo gigs with my electric & acoustic electric. Thanks Marty
Could you still plug this in to the front of an amp, but with all the pedals plugged into the effects loop? OR even better, could you get 2 more sets and plug the transmitter to the send of an effects loop, then the receiver to your first pedal in the chain, then take another set, put the transmitter in the end of your chain and the receiver to the return of an effects loop? Giving you a completely wireless rig? OR EVEN BETTER, JUST TURN ALL THE PATCH CABLES IN TO TRANSMITTERS AND RECEIVERS!?!? Ok, that last one was ridiculous... but I’m still generally curious about the last two, lol.
hat cam, you can see him holding a regular cam in the reflection 4:10
haha
Another great video, made me want you to do a tour of your place there.
Would anyone wanna purchase my Xvive U2? It's now faulty, perhaps you can change the battery, or idk exactly what's wrong, but quite certain it can be fixed. Just that, in my area (Malaysia, Penang), no one is interested to fix it for me. So, please, anyone, offer me a small price, I'll send it to you. =)
Brilliant! Anything that stops trailing cables.
I brought this a few months ago one of my best guitar investments. Absolutely love it
You also check out the "Shure GLXD16 wireless system" It's pricey but seems worth the money, If you could get your hands on one somehow, a video would be much appreciated!
I’m having a super tough time with this product. Works great at home but when I’m gigging it always cuts out with interference. Super frustrated. Any ideas?????
How is it around "noisy" lights and strobes?
seemed really fine.
It's not UHF, no interference at all.
Iv had a pair of them for a while now, they are fucking amazing, iv had 2 normal wireless systems in the past and i wont be going back to them again. If you buy more Xvive's you can connect more than one transmitter to the same receiver (theres a button on them for changing channels) , so you can have 2 or 3 guitars playing through one amp etc. The battery lasts a good while and you charge them up by usb.
Iv got a Digitech Trio+ on my coffee table with a guitar lead going to my guitar and have my Xvive transmitter in the Trio's out and the receiver in my amp, saves having guitar leads draped over the floor. haha
How long do they normally last?
Nice vid !!
🙃
I’m still trying to bribe my mom with all the chores in the house to get me a guitar. Lol
Acoustic or electric
Acoustic
go to garage sales & everything, i'm sure they have super cheap one to start. Of thrift stores
Buy a Squire electric second hand. It will keep it's value so you're not risking anything, tell your mum I said that. Cheap acoustics value is zero the day you walk out of the shop with it, also the action (the gap between the strings and the fret) is higher so it's actually much harder to play. Buy a Squire for about $90.00, if you don't stick with guitar, sell it for $90.00. (Got that mum?)
There's dozens of cheap interfaces for all manner of phones and also loads of free apps to give you the effects you need. Good luck young axeman, stick with it and choose your axe heroes well and not just form one genre either.

Hi Marty! I know this video is old, but maybe you'll answer. Using a Jack to minijack adapter, could i hypothetically use my cellphone as an amplifier?
Asking for friend...
I have three. They refuse to lock into same frequency. Worked great one show. Bought an extra. Very frustrating. Think it is set then it blinks different number. WTF?
There is a company called Gig Buddy using your footage to sell their cheap knock-off wireless system. Stupid scammers....
Xvive not worth the money! Packing mine up and sending back! Nothing but interference and drop outs! Junk in my opinion!
I'm very new to playing but would like a wireless option but can't blow $100 plus dollars on a new hobby just yet. Any other options under 100 worth going for?
Hey there Marty, It`s 63 yr old Will from the UK. Can you charge this kit with a samsung android charger ???
I have these. Concept is nice but they are unreliable. They would cut out regularly. Lost confidence in them :(
To everyone saying this is a great review,, HOW? No talk about noise ratio, tonal changes, latency, interference with other electronics, damn, all he did was play some crappy stuff and that was it!
What's the delay like? Can you sing into a mic and the timing work or do you then need Bluetooth mic and foldback so you hear yourself like an echo?
I miss you sir Marty my great teacher long time ago (youtube) can you please demo also the Zoom G1x Four, thank you so much keep safe and God bless you more and family.
I have a question I play acoustic .I recently acquired a acoustic electric Palmer will it send sound to a bluetooth from my guitar to a speaker with this gadget
Hey Marty how doing a video power attenuators like the Weber Minimass or THD Hotplate. Thanks.
Thanks Great Video. I knew using a pedal board it couldn't go into the Amp.
Cool.. can u use for an electric violin 🎻 to bluetooth speaker? Would be killer.. Portable
So they're selling a blue tooth transmitter for 100$+ TRASH
I use fender amp with Bluetooth but not willing to transmit from guitar because seems like all options include latency problems.
Cool. When I forget to put shoes on before I play I get shocked. This would stop that
Looks great in terms of function...but the clunky cockroach looking design is crap and the price point is too high.
Probably got some gadget for when you use 2 guitars..Thanks!
Can u do a video demoing the new oceans 11 reverb?
How would this work with an angled jack on the side of the body like Ibanez uses? Thanks
Have you ever thought about getting a fender jaguar, Marty?
oh yes.
Truly one of the universes Guitar Gods!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼💯💥🌟❣️♠️🫶
The idea of this seems cool but for some reason it doesnt look cool. A wire looks more traditional where as this looks like new to new of a technology that makes it look kinda geeky or unorginal. Maybe in the future it will become more common and less vied that way imo or maybe if they devolope a smaller one that barely sticks out of the guitar might look cooler.
Please teach dead leaves and the dirty ground by white stripes
Always enjoy Marty's enthusiasm and knowledge. Nice road worn Stratocaster!
I can't decide between THIS or the Carvin WG5 Wireless Guitar/Bass System I saw this morning, too. They seem very similar, both in price and features.
I worried when you went into the bathroom 'cuz it reminded me of a 'Naked Gun' scene where Leslie Nielsen had a wireless mic in the bathroom that broadcast into a luncheon or dinner hall. Priceless !
Marty your the man, OK, guitar to pedal board, but can you use 2 sets and then go from pedal board to amp?
I cannot believe not a single comment addresses latency. Can you honestly say it isn't an issue? No time lag whatsoever?
This a cool vid
Hey party I got a question for the body pack systems can i put a headset microphone and guitar into together
Marty! Happy Thanksgiving dude! Just want to say you are one of my favorietes on guitar lessons. Ive bin a solo playing weirdo for most of my life but sometimes i just have to play some chords huh... 🤬 So that's were u come in 😁🤘 and now i was looking for wireless playing after many years of unknutting and soldering cable... And here u are again 😎 good show Marty! Thanks for all the great hints and simplifying everything I hate to studdy 😁😎☮️
Are you aware of a bluetooth transmitter that can be plugged into the phones output on the amp and then paired with bluetooth headphones, that doesn't have an awful delay?
That's what's up Marty, when I get better I'll have to look at it... Thx..
Marty- looks like a guitar throne you sit on .... what kind is it and would you recommend it ?
Yeah !!!- I hate cables. Always getting tangled up in them.
How do you feel about this system? Would you use it regularly? Would you gig with it? How do you think it sounds compared to a cable?
Bro you failed hahaha I can see u not holding the guitar in the hat cam reflection on the glass yourself betrayed you
Looking for a mini practice amp with excellent sound. I'm a trucker so size is important. Any suggestion?
Pignose if you want to keep it simple or a Yamaha TH-10 if you want some bells and whistles to fiddle with.
Okay I gotta get this thing. I’ll never use wires and cords ever again
Utterly boring , unenthusiastic review😴😴😴
Marty Boss also has a wireless system u should check it out
who was waiting him to go away from the amp? who saw hidden guitars?
Love my Shure BL4 wireless system. I love wireless, I'm untethered. Not a big fan of the warts that plug in to the jacks, vs. the short chord into the jack like the traditional wireless setup. But the warts sound good and that's what really matters.
You should run for President Marty! We need a guitar player.
when you doing a amp 13 giveaway be lookin forward to it.
At least the wireless device is not a tone sucker unlike other china made wireless system
