      Marty, it is showing a 2.4 GHZ Wireless, which is common amongst Wireless systems Cordless home phones for those of us who still have one (MY wife has a home office so we need a landline) and my WiFi Mesh has a 2.4GHZ channel. Do you notice any interference with other wireless components running the same frequency?
      What about Latency? I couldn't really tell a difference but you were also playing with a little bit of delay on your riffs so I couldn't give a "fair judgement"
      I had a wireless system I loved the freedom but it killed my tone, even with my lows cranked it really watered them out. it sounded like I was playing out of a tin can. Ditched it. and stuck with cords. But one less thing to trip on,

    • @michaelsclark
      @michaelsclark 6 років тому +1

      so theres np delay then that's badass. I have a wireless set up for my tv/ stereo and theres a bit of a delay wich would make me weary of buying something like this ,so thanks for sharing

    • @fanelli18
      @fanelli18 6 років тому

      michael s. clark that’s my concern, interference and delay, I had an older audio technics wireless system and I hated it, my tone got squashed terribly

      Marty how many feet away from your AMP can it handle with good tone, not how far it can go. Also, can it handle EMG pick ups?

    Marty I’ve had my xvive for about 2 years and used them on both of my electric and acoustic electric guitars. More recently the xvive stopped working. I charged them but they still don’t work. I used them sparingly not all gigs. They have internal batteries that apparently loose their charge capacity. Have any info on this?
    Thanks

    • @sparkyguitar0058
      @sparkyguitar0058 3 роки тому +1

      I can do it with my Strat by hooking my finger near the arm. Harder to do with my Paul. Too heavy and not comfortable enough grip. I do it just not too long. My bass is even heavier but got good grip for some reason. I got great straps for every one of them just don't keep straps on all the time. Also have 2 different kinds of wireless systems AKG wireless bug, and Getaria rechargeable system. That's my IEM system. But at home I use whichever is easier at time.

Bass player in my band has the same system, no conflicts or other issues, good battery life etc. I had a smooth hound system before and the xvive is just miles better.

    Am I crazy or did the wireless demo with the camera view seem fake? The video said “hat cam” but in the reflection of a window at 4:10 shows him walking with the camera in his hands, with no guitar. Idk if the camera view was supposed to show his view of where we was going, but it seems highly unlikely that the footage is real time of him playing while walking around. Maybe I’m crazy haha, but just what I saw. Also I don’t doubt the capabilities of the gear, but it feels like it was faked for promotion or smth

    Marty how about doing a review of the HX Stomp by line 6. I bought one hoping it would be easy to use and at one point thought I would use it by plugging it directly to the PA(no amp). The learning curve is more than I expected. I do mostly solo gigs with my electric & acoustic electric. Thanks Marty

  • @ravendemo4980
    @ravendemo4980 3 роки тому +1

    Could you still plug this in to the front of an amp, but with all the pedals plugged into the effects loop? OR even better, could you get 2 more sets and plug the transmitter to the send of an effects loop, then the receiver to your first pedal in the chain, then take another set, put the transmitter in the end of your chain and the receiver to the return of an effects loop? Giving you a completely wireless rig? OR EVEN BETTER, JUST TURN ALL THE PATCH CABLES IN TO TRANSMITTERS AND RECEIVERS!?!? Ok, that last one was ridiculous... but I’m still generally curious about the last two, lol.

    Iv had a pair of them for a while now, they are fucking amazing, iv had 2 normal wireless systems in the past and i wont be going back to them again. If you buy more Xvive's you can connect more than one transmitter to the same receiver (theres a button on them for changing channels) , so you can have 2 or 3 guitars playing through one amp etc. The battery lasts a good while and you charge them up by usb.
    Iv got a Digitech Trio+ on my coffee table with a guitar lead going to my guitar and have my Xvive transmitter in the Trio's out and the receiver in my amp, saves having guitar leads draped over the floor. haha

      Buy a Squire electric second hand. It will keep it's value so you're not risking anything, tell your mum I said that. Cheap acoustics value is zero the day you walk out of the shop with it, also the action (the gap between the strings and the fret) is higher so it's actually much harder to play. Buy a Squire for about $90.00, if you don't stick with guitar, sell it for $90.00. (Got that mum?)
      There's dozens of cheap interfaces for all manner of phones and also loads of free apps to give you the effects you need. Good luck young axeman, stick with it and choose your axe heroes well and not just form one genre either.

    The idea of this seems cool but for some reason it doesnt look cool. A wire looks more traditional where as this looks like new to new of a technology that makes it look kinda geeky or unorginal. Maybe in the future it will become more common and less vied that way imo or maybe if they devolope a smaller one that barely sticks out of the guitar might look cooler.
