I think, and always have thought, that ultimately he was trying to do something positive with whatever his endeavors taught him, drug-related or not. Politics, however, are NOT the greatest forum for his way of trying to change things. He needs to make music...a lot of music...and deliver his messages through his talent, where he is most at home.

Janes Addiction in my opinion are the best band that began in the late eighties and what Perry is talking about sounds good and makes a lot of sense.
Perry got a very harmonic voice... I can always relax, bang my head, laugh or cryout to music he've done. Not many bands are able for that!
