Heads up folks, it's the only time you'll ever catch me using all-caps in an episode title - and it's because this really, and truly, is the EVERYTHING bagel. Plus salt.

As you might have guessed, I am very much a large fan of this movie. We shot the bagel segment of this episode back in July, and after months of conflicts and dragging my feet, finally marathon-shot all of the stunt/VFX footage in my new vacation home with my dad these past two days. I recorded the "warp" sounds by holding a microphone up to the TV while it played the hallway scene from EEAAO, the same way I did in 9th grade for my first home movie. I just stayed up all night editing it and published it the very second it was ready, the way I used to so many years ago. Thank you so much for watching.
Also if you guys want any of this stuff I have like, a huge tub of it now.
Great job!!! This movie is also one of my favourites and I enjoyed that segment :)
Wandrew
The creativity on display was amazing!
This video is a triumph. It's great seeing you back at this. And great job on the editing!
easily became a favourite, loved everything about it
I like the implication that regardless of what reality, he is always cooking on youtube.
Except for the unboxing one that somehow turned into a cooking episode
Well, we would only see the realities where he does video
Even when he attempts to be a tech review channel
and the news anchors
He got cooked by thyme though !😂😅🤣
an absolute storyboarding, camera work, and editing masterpiece
Indeed, it’s a nice surprise
Aw thanks bro!!
@@babishculinaryuniverse Give Alvin a raise!
Thanks
Zimmerman St. Charles is dead
The “too much thyme on your hands” part was my favorite, that really captured some of the creativity of the film itself
Yeah, but he got too much free thyme on his hands to do a video like this :D Thumbs up folks :D
This has got to be one of the most creative videos you've ever put out, fittingly inspired by one of the most creative movies of all time. Bravo, Andrew and crew!

Been waiting for this episode since the day I saw the movie. I remember during it thinking "okay, so how long until Andrew makes this...." and here we are
Bagel
I very nearly skipped this one. I said to myself "oh, he's just gonna make an everything bagel, no big deal." What a fool I was for doubting you Babish, fantastic stuff
Outstanding
Samesies, dog. We dodged a bullet.
If Babish made a video on boiling water, I would watch it.
Just a dash of Babish for me, thanks.
I did skip for a while cause i am weirdly effected by how titles of movies make me feel, and i really never liked this movie's title so i never wanted to see it, but this vid has been reccomend to me by youtube for a while that i finally decided to watch it, and now....well maybe i'll drop my weird title hangup and give the movie a go
After all these years, almost forgot that Babish used to be a video editor and special effects artist, and that his mixed passion for movies and cooking was what kickstarted the channel in the first place. This has to be peak Babish in every possible way
He went to cinema school , didn't he?
Remember the old intro music?
I wanna see what the trip to the store was like, just to see the reactions of other customers watching this one guy stuff a cart with every spice there is
The question is: Do you go through a regular checkout and force the employee to scan each of them or do you do it yourself at a self-checkout?
I feel like at this point his local grocery's gotta be used to seeing him or Kendall coming through and getting weird stuff all the time
@@PinkFloyd102489 depends, are you sadistic or masocistic?
Eh, it's NYC, we've seen everything more than once.
The idea of holding back on the cayenne pepper because it could overpower everything else in the everything bagel is such a hilarious concept.
And yet absolutely valid just because of how strong cayenne can be relative to just about any other spice.
I’m surprised he still added that solid like 1/2 cup-full cup of salt after considering how many spices are (spice)-salt like garlic or onion salt
Is Cayenne the Banana of the Spice world
I thought you were just gonna make a bagel with everything seasoning - but then I saw the $900 worth of seasonings and became slightly frightened.
May I suggest a bagel with nothing seasoning? Make a bagel and then simply fire it into the void.
Yeah that opening shot had me cussing because my goodness man that's over the top
I just recalled another favorite series of Babish's, Community, where Annie yells out "EVERYTHING" much like Gary Oldman in The Professional.
@@ashrowan2143 Like seriously those could have been utilized afterward.. but instead they were all poured into one giant bowl.. I get that it's pretty amazing for a video, but what's a sensible budget for a 7-minute video? I feel like I would have maybe faked that? with a big bowl of several kinds of sand?
@@KairuHakubi
You're not familiar enough with Babish if you think he wouldn't go above and beyond for this. For reference, see the Every-Meat Burrito video. Besides, sand? You do realize this is food for eating, right?
Feels like a classic episode of binging, clearly put a huge amount of work into it. Absolutely massive well done, one of my favourites of all time and I haven't even seen the film
See it! I highly recommend it. As close to a 10/10 from me as anything can get; I'm constantly debating whether it takes over my choice of favorite film from Spider-Verse or not, so I ultimately had to declare it a tie 😂
If I’ve learned anything recently it’s that Bagels hold the key the multiverses. Also that You either end up with hot dog fingers or a universe with spiders.
Across the Spiderverse?
This is easily one of my favorites that Babish has done. It incorporated a lot of the in jokes and ideas of EEAAO, while still maintaining that Babish signature style
its the dark souls of babish episodes
@@mwmwmwmwmmdw time in drangleic is convoluted
What I'd give to be the cashier who got to hear him say "I'm making an everything bagel."
Just finished the movie, and thought, "can you put everything in a bagel?" Now I'm here.
This has easily became one of my favorite movies! It is beautifully filmed and has the perfect amount of trippy, serious topics, and comedic relief. I've never related to a story more, being Asian American and having a rocky relationship with my mom. It definitely opened up a lot of trauma and also helped me start to work through it. I love how you always do research on the tv shows or movies you recreate food from. The way you incorporate each unique style into your videos is amazing!
This is one of the best episodes you've EVER made. I feel like you've touched on your roots here of creating some ridiculous food and then making your own five-star rendition. Phenomenal episode, Babish.
My twin brother introduced me to Binging With Babish 6 years ago, when I was 13. It was an intersection of our lives, the cooking shows we grew up watching with our mother, and the film's, shows and games that we had learned to love on our own. Over time we have grown and changed, just like this channel. Today I dropped him off at university, I helped him move into his dorm. I move in next week. In a way it seems fitting that a video about a film all about the passage of time, different paths of life and potential, would come from this channel today
kool
that's adorable 😭 i'm happy for you two !!
why you gotta make me tear up during the bagel video like that
As someone who absolutely adores the movie this is based on, I absolutely adore this video too.
Okay then. As a guy who is watching this in June of 2023, can we throw this thing at a scientist working on a supercollider?
Let's do it.

This was INCREDIBLE - the amount of work this must have taken is staggering. Likely one of the most expensive and time consuming videos you've ever done. Just - WOW.
As someone that is also a big fan of this movie, the amount of passion and creativity poured into this video is honestly so amazing. Great job Babish and everyone!
“Thyme. Not just any thyme, but time itself. Oh, I have too much thyme on my hands.” You slay me, Babish. 😂
I'm surprised this wasn't a subscriber amount special. This is one of the most memorable episodes of Babish ever.
I was NOT expecting this much creativity in the filming of this video but I love it! Like a cooking show took a hit of acid.
this comment could not be mor factual
Babish took the ‘everything’ bagel quite literally
you should watch the movie!
Well "everything but the kitchen sink" ;) or any other non spice objects... :P
Well, it’s not quite, in fact not NEARLY as “Everything” as the bagel in the movie. But he did about as well as humanly possible.
nothing matters lil bro
If there’s a UA-cam award for this sort of editing, you should win it.
If there isn’t, it should be created for you to win it.
Utterly amazing.
you had way too much fun with this one babish
Your editors are saints for putting this masterpiece together.
I think he edited it himself, as he says in the video.
@@mistifowl5893 I see that now. Lol then he is a saint for putting all of this together
I’m so happy that you’re doing classic Binging with Babish videos again. I was afraid that you were slowly transitioning away from them.

lol
I think he still is. Sooner or later he won't be uploading Babish episodes at all, and that's where I take my leave.
I wonder if he was slowing down with them because he had this one in the works!
I think Babish should’ve gotten a Golden Globe for this bagel.
Me making this bagel so I can throw it at some random scientist to see if he turns into a Dalmatian.
Only one minute in and this is already my favorite episode.
That’s what she didn’t say
The editing… a round of applause for this masterpiece.
This was (and I don't throw this word around lightly) a masterpiece. Definitely my new favorite episode, and probably one of the best BWBs of all time. It's hard to imagine a UA-cam cooking show episode doing this movie justice but I think you came the closest anyone can in under seven minutes!
What if you made a note that on early Halloween, you make something so gross and unhealthy that it's too scary to eat:
Regular Show- Rig Juice
Steven Universe- Literally All Toppings Pizza
Green Eggs and Ham cartoon- The Ham-Egg-Edon
The Looney Tunes Show- Daffy's Powdered Sugar Casserole Breakfast
The Simpsons- Krusty's Munchy Mouthfuls (Highway to Well episode)
etc.
I've never even heard of this movie, but I can recognize the creativity that went into this episode and it was one heck of a ride.
Watch it. A truly amazing movie. It's not for everyone, there is a chance you will hate it but if it turns out to be your kind of thing, it will be an instant all time favorite.
What wingracer said. Watch it, definitely, it's a must-see.
Temper your expectations, people get obsessed with movies like this very easily
It’s a beautiful acid trip of a movie. Highly recommend.
It did complete with Doctor Strange MoM in the theaters on for who was the best multiverse movies
@4:42 imagining the reaction of a Portugese sailor from 1500.
Can you make the Bagel from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse?
3:45 Just a little splash of Babish seasoning... for the ladies. ;)
If I saw a regular-sized version of this bagel on sale somewhere, I'd definitely try it. Also, to echo everyone else, loved this video and the movie.
But are you echoing everyone everywhere else all at once?
The “too much time on my hands” bit was SO clever
0:59 I can tell the cashier probably wanted to die seeing someone roll up with dozens of spices 💀
SO much effort into a bagel episode. Deserves awards all around
Anyone who hasn’t yet: watch this movie, it really works well for all ages, any relationships you have. I’d recommend watching ‘Everyone everywhere needs Waymond’, it really showcases a smart and rare character study that I’ve never seen in any movie
I also want to say this is probably the best carried out link into the movie as well as the part talking about different cuisines at the same time being everything everywhere all at once is genius, probably the best episode I’ve ever seen, one of the best executions of a UA-cam video I’ve seen in a while
As someone who has brought his siblings and parents separately to the theater, I can asure you that is not. Only Gen Z and probably Millennials sympathize with the whacky comedy of this movie, and oh boy is one of my favorite things in the history of cinema right now.
@@myowndrilling2295 yeah my dad hated it, I did too it was kinda cringe so I ended up choosing a different movie after 20 min
@@CB-xp9ew Hate to say it, but the opening stuff is supposed to be kinda cringe. The whole point of the first act is to establish that Evelyn's life is an absolute trainwreck in every possible way. It sounds like you walked out just before it started getting to the point.
That means a lot, thank you!!
Are you sure all ages????
The editing and creativity in this video was off the charts! love all the referenced scenes and I absolutely applaud how much time you put into this video
I really love the part when Babish goes, _"It's Bagelin' time!"_ Truly one of the most bread product of all time.
Jokes aside, this is probably one of your best works yet, Babish and team! You guys rocks!
Gave a like simply because of how much I love Everything Everywhere All at Once, but I’m at 2:52 and simply in awe of how awesome this video is. You (and your team?) must have really enjoyed the movie to go all in with this.
This was brilliant and funny at the same time. The split realities. The giant cilantro attacking out its revenge for being neglected. As for the everything. Try it as a dry rub.
I can't imagine the hours you spent for this , props to you Andrew
Every now and then Babish needs to remind his audience that he was a film maker before he was a UA-cam chef
“A little splash of Babish” lol … Man.. this is the best one you’ve made. Super creative and well done. LOVE THIS!!!
What if you make a note to bake the Halloween Cake from OK KO Let's Be Heroes episode, "Monster Party"
This might be my favorite Babish recipe ever. I loved Everything Everywhere All At Once and would definitely try that bagel
While I can genuinely applaud the editing and creativity that went into the video, it made it hard to watch without kinda getting snapped out of the experience every time there was an edit.
So imagine everyone now wanting to try this recipe, the horror on their faces when they have to spend approx, 1k$ on seasoning xD
At the very least everyone, everywhere should appreciate the dedication to the bit that Babish went though. Excellently done.
Your “Everything Bagel” seasoning made a bagel hole at 1:26. Were they genetically modified to do that? lol
Every time I think this channel has done all it could do it goes and does something new that leaves me in awe. Thank you, Andrew and everyone behing BCU!
This movie is criminally underrated and the fact that you've made the everything bagel, something you've made before (Steven Universe sandwich) this makes me giddy because that Everything Everywhere bagel is nuts.
Criminally underrated? Dude, this film is highly acclaimed.
Underrated is the wrong word - it was one of the best reviewed movies of last year. More people should definitely see it though!
Until everyone everywhere sees this movie not enough people have seen the movie.
You don’t know what underrated means
2:30 Detail of cabinets open and blender unplugged and random baking sheet is awesome
Having not seen the movie, this entire episode is just one massive fever dream and I am all for it
You can tell he had so much fun with this one
Such a great movie
Everything Everywhere All At Once was a wild movie experience and just a perfect take on modern existence as a human being at its core. I doubt the bagel is worth 1000 dollars but tell the people you care about that you love them, folks.
I saw the movie the day before you put out the episode and the timing couldn't have been more perfect. It was such a wonderful epilogue of sorts to this crazily beautiful, insanely complicated and visually stunning movie. Hats off to you Andrew!
This might be my favorite Babish video, because it perfectly captures the feel of the film which is in my top 10 favorites of all time.
You can tell a huge amount of work went into this. WELL DONE
Since Tuesday is National Pepperoni Pizza Day, make either
Literally All Toppings Pizza from Steven Universe
or Ultimate Slumber Party Pizza from The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron
Oh gosh I love this! Wow the camera changes, the script, your voice acting are all just amazing! You and your team are real pros, what an inspirational thing it has been watching you grow into this successful professional.
This as well as the recently I finished up across the spider-verse and yeah I can see what happens of a bagel can do
This might be my favorite episode you’ve ever done so far
One of your best episodes yet. As someone who absolutely loves this movie, you really put in the effort here and I can tell you appreciate the movie also.
I feel like I'll probably appreciate this way more after I watch the movie. It's been on my list.
4:54 Ah yes, the ol' one-in-the-stink maneuver
This was like my fav video you have done! I love the fact that it shows babish is a chef in all the timelines and thats wholesome af!
This was genuinely so well made just like the movie🎉
This was brilliant and must have been a blast to film and edit
this is a fantastic video, i freaking love the disjointed vibe from the movie AND binging with babish, never thought they would fit so well together
I actually cannot believe how awesome of an episode this was. I loved it and had to put everything away to watch it. Beautiful!
I’m bummed that this video has less than a mil views. It’s a perfect tribute to the movie the food is based on.
what a nice throwback to the older babish videos, not that the branching out is bad but the older videos were great :)
lol are you talking about the other shows on this channel that are called other things and hosted by other people? Because the standard babish videos have barely changed over the years. (Not that they should)
@@Leto_0 There's subtle changes, but not bad by any means. Just newer locations, different song choice, etc. Idk it's like any long-running show where even if it's designed to adhere to a certain status quo different eras of it can have very different vibes.
Ah yes, a new show on interdimensional cable. I'm so glad I signed up for this service
I knew where this video was going and still couldn’t mentally prepare my brain for it not to hurt.
Got a lot of giggles and was quite interesting to watch, love all the videos I have seen on your channel!
You deserve an award for this video. I also love how the bagel actually could allow your tastebuds to basically travel the culinary world just with your mind.
Art. Pure art.
this video is a fever dream and I love it
No way the sound mint also likes cooking
This is so well done and you can tell just how much love and reverence went into this. I love how it’s done in the same style as EEAAO and it’s literally an everything bagel. But this was recommended when I was looking up a video about Kakyoin from JJBA and I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
This is *by far* the best video you've done (and I love your other videos!). Perfectly encapsulates the craziness and creativity of the movie. ♥️
That was brilliant. Can't show every single seasoning going in, so create a "break in the video" is beyond the wildest expectations we could have.
man the production value and wit in this one, this is cooking videos ascended to another level. Definitely my favourite video of yours thus far, hope to see more like it, I think you did the movie's absurdity justice in the recipe and it's presentation
So impressed with the crazy amount of work you put into this.
You did a truly incredible job on this video and it was SO much fun to watch. It’s kind of nice to see you focus more on the cinematic side of your videos
This is not only a fun video but an amazing love letter to the movie. Like, an INCREDIBLE homage to the humor and visual style of EEAAO. I wanna rewatch it now
As someone who absolutely LOVED the movie, this might be my favorite Babish episode, maybe for the effort alone
I wanna see you bake Leaning Tower of Pisa Honeycake from Arthur episode, "Dad's Dessert Dilemma"
One of if not the most creative and well executed cooking videos on this platform. Bravo!
This deserves an award. Is this long enough to be considered a short film?
Hmm, that bagel definitely looks like it tastes of an amazingly layered and convoluted metaphor for Gen-Z angst, the great battle between existentialism and nihilism, and the crushing weight of generational trauma and familial expectations.
Delicious!
Sometime after I watched this movie, I jokingly thought to myself that it'd make a fun Babish video. I did not actually expect this, and not to this level of awesomeness.
This is one of your best episodes ever for sure. It's even greater if you are a fan of the movie itself. well done.
I can't wait to show this to my grandfather. (We saw the movie in theaters together).
This. is. INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you for everything you do everywhere all at once - great movie and a most excellent tribute :D
