Somebody's gotta be the "you had lethal" at 19:28 - you sent burn at his creature instead of his face. 4 Cavalcade triggers, +3 unblocked creatures, +1 from Footlight (either from sac or block), +4 from Heartfire is exactly 12.
@@francescogulisano2917 I know that. I'm replying to the OP. Read every comment not just mine before you reply. Instead of Tin Street Dodger you should play Torch Courier. 1/1 haste but you can also sac it to give another creature haste. Works well when you drop a Spitfire so it can attack that turn.
I disagree after testing with both. Dodger gives the ability to get in that last bit of damage when blockers are on the field. It's a way to activate Light up the Stage for 1 mana. I find those reasons to both trump giving something else haste that probably can't swing in anyway unless Cavalcade triggers are lethal.

At 29:50 you scooped early. You could’ve drawn Legion Warboss, which means two Cavalcade triggers with the goblin, and you could’ve sacced the warboss to Heartfire dealing a total of 6 damage for exactsies
I don't have all the cards but this deck works fine with the few changes I had to do: 1 krenko I happened to have instead of a warboss and 2 torch couriers instead of fiends, just because I like my spitfires and my krenko at work fast. Thanks for this deck list
I had a game on Arena where chandra made a couple of elementals and I played a scampering scorcher in the same turn. I lost track of which ones came from where. Is there any way to find that out on Arena? It would suck to sacrifice the wrong ones to Heartfire or Mask of Immolation.
Game 1 vs bant reclamation was an early scoop, though your odds of winning were very low. You could’ve drawn a dodger, attacked and then sacced for heart fire. Odds of opponent not having a counter are super low, but always make them have it.
Though I've played enough modern burn to know that if you kept a 1 lander back when 19 lands was normal you could often need 4-5 draw steps to hit a land. 3 draw steps seemed average. 18/53 isn't a lot. That's why with moho the deck plays 20 land with 5 horizon lands but I personally play 21 and 7 horizon lands.
Hey, what do you know? A hyper aggressive mono red deck is good. It's almost like there's a whole archetype built around this style of deck that is consistently good in almost every format and in almost every standard period too 😉 Love ya Seth.
Why didn't you shock the baby Teferi when you had the chance? You just ended up complaining about it being on the board later because you never bothered to get rid of it.
36:35 May have been a better choice to heartfire the token after cavalcade triggers on teferi and kills him. Would have gotten an extra point of damage in, just in case they had extra bits of lifegain
I would make the argument that when making a rotation proof deck, that limitation should not be applied to the sideboard. A sideboard is heavily influenced by the meta, and even things that aren't rotating now could prove to be dead weight during rotation.
He's saying it better than a lot of other names! It is only occasionally "cavalclade" or "clavalclade" so I consider it a win. See Circuitous Route for more of the norm here!
This deck needs to go down 1 Chandra and 1 mask and go up 2 Scorchers. Scorcher is a haymaker in my cavalcade deck. If anything, put a couple more in the sideboard against Teferi decks.
scorcher is a hit or miss card. Great when it works, pretty horrible when it sits in your hand doing nothing or when it just dies to removal before battle
This deck is pretty overrated. It gets destroyed more often than not. Been running it for a week now. You rarely pull Calvalcade and you end up having a bunch of 1/1 on the boards that can't defend against anything. Furthermore, you get destroyed by Red Burn who just need put up a wall of blockers and hits you with non stop damage.
Flame sweep has to be in the board. Also if you blow up field game one isn't a game. Use land destruction. Its bad at 4 mana but it's better than nothing. I play a similar set focused on elementals and krenko.
@@Aronia55 it fits the same spot as fiery cannonade did during it's standard. 2 damage across the board with upside that it doesn't hit flyers so Chandra spitfire is safe. Its not perfect but what is in magic.

Tourch courier is nice in the deck as it lets you have a hasty spitfire
Torch courier is good replacement for the tinstreet dodger
Not standard related but I guess u can play stoneforge mystic in that hammer sigardas aid deck
Upgraded Hammer Time! What other gross equipment can be played here?
Why? As a more expensive steelshapers gift?

Not only Rotation Proof but also one of the best Decks for the Arena Landfall Event.
