That was tough. I admire Princess Anne. She remained faithful to complete her duties and honor her mother till the very end. I cannot imagine how she held up so well. God bless her.
Imagine how mentally and physically exhausting this must be to Princess Anne, having to attend all these events and keep up with the Royal stuff while grieving for your mother.
I know right , I wonder what they eat to keep those energy levels up, especially at that age.

Sharing her undoubted love for horses and the training and breeding of them with the Irish. This can be taken as an excellent form of bridge-building and keeping links between these 2 islands. Something to be regarded highly regardless of the political heat and animosity that can exist at times between Europes 2 North Atlantic islands.

I'm so glad the ceremonies in Scotland were added at the beginning - the Queen seemed to love that place so. Princess Anne has been such a rock during this time.
There is the thing that in spite of there being a desire for independence for Scotland the question of what form that will take is not cut and dried or decided. It might be a Republic or it might be a Dual Monarchy like what existed between Austria and Hungary at the beginning of the last century. SNP plans are for a separation from Westminster and Edinburgh Parliaments at a political level. The question of Head of State is left open.
The challenge for the Royal Family in the future will be to try and preserve the institution of the Monarchy north of the border regardless of what happens at Prime Ministerial level and below.

I think that the whole journey was planned time ago ..thats why she stayed in Balmoral so long lately...in order to give the opportunity to people of Scotland and Ireland to farewell her and to show she was their Queen too..and at last London as the Capital of UK..it wouldnt be the same if she happened to die in London..

My friends daughter is a Highland Dancer here in Canada. In early August they travelled to Scotland and performed the last performance for the Queen!!❤🇨🇦❤🇨🇦❤

That act instituted absolute primogeniture (oldest child inherits regardless of gender), but only for people born after 28 October 2011. Anne still comes behind all of her brothers, even though Andrew and Edward are both younger than she.

One of the news stations said that QE2 requested that Princess Anne accompany her body throughout the process. QE2 understood how The Firm In wanting to establish KC3 might crowd PA out. Shows how sensitive QE2 was to the process and tried to honor and respect her daughter’s needs even in her spiritual absence.

For the passed several days reporters have mentioned nearly all Britons have a story of either meeting the queen or connection with an event of the queen's. I am an American, and I have this connection. I made the jet tail cones for that C17 Globe master. I made hundreds of them when most of that model plane was being built in the early '90s. Motors I made, metaphorically horses I raised, drew the queen's casket from Edinburgh to London.
It worked for my 64-bit PC. Thanks a lot.

The Royal Standard covering the coffin has been exchanged during the flight - on departure from Edinburgh it was a Scottish version with two fields with Lion Rampant, while at arrival is already an version with two fields with English lions.

As a former Dutch army sergeant I have done this three times for the Dutch Royal Family. First the King's grandmother,his grandfather and his father. It is an incredible honour to take part in this. One will never forget.
