    I've enjoyed all of the CMH videos but this one hit different for me. It explained a concept that I was interested in but had no idea how to do it. It made me feel like it was attainable and it encouraged me. I love how you broke it down into easy, actionable steps. Like I've known about cleanses but didn't know how to step-by-step do it. Now, I know how to prepare, what to buy and why I should buy it, recipes to use, and how to transition off of it. Thanks a million!!!

      @ChoosingMyHealth thank you! The cleanse went well. I would have kept going if I had more produce and prepared more in advance. I got tired of making juices and cleaning out the juicer each time, also I'm a bit obsessive and feel like I have to save all the pulp, so I made 2 recipes with the pulp yesterday and have resumed to normal eating once again. It wasn't as challenging as I thought! Next time I'll get more produce, prepare more in advance and go a bit longer. I did eat a little during the cleanse (some nuts, coconut and fruit or vegetables). For my first time it went well! I realized I was only drinking like half of the amount of juice I was supposed to, so looking forward to do it better next time. I have been inspired to make healthier choices for sure.

    This video came right on time for me! It gave me the clarity and empowerment to try a 3-day juice cleanse. For the juice recipes, what do you suggest? Are the recipes from your 3 Detox Juice video the juices I should use for the 3-day juice cleanse? Should I drink those 3 detox juices each day for the 3-day cleanse/fast? By the way, thanks for inspiring us all with this AWESOME content! Blessings to you and the CMH crew!

    • @ChoosingMyHealth
      @ChoosingMyHealth  2 роки тому

      Thank you Beatrice!!! Your support means SO much to the CMH crew! You can definitely use the juices from the 3 Detox Juices vid, and I’d take it a step further and add 1 or 2 more juice combos for variety-veggie heavy. So 80 percent or more vegetable based juices (lots and lots of greens with vitamin c to absorb iron) throughout the 3-day span. And don’t forget to drink lots of water 😉💜

    • @ChoosingMyHealth
      @ChoosingMyHealth  3 місяці тому

      Most welcome, Rob! I typically use 16oz mason jars to store my juices. Sometimes I’ll use the 8oz as shown on the thumbnail, but I find 16oz is more filling, especially if doing a juice fast/cleanse.

    Very good! However, I think I will opt for blended smoothies, which incorporate the whole food, and get the added benefit of the fiber. Like Melissa said, please consult with your physician before embarking on a juice cleanse, and emphasize veggies, adding a little fruit for sweetness, so as not to spike your blood sugar (very important for those diabetics and pre-diabetics out there).

    • @ChoosingMyHealth
      @ChoosingMyHealth  2 роки тому +2

    Melissa the timing of this video is perfect for me. On day 1 of my cleanse today, and head is feeling really clear. Just wanted to ask you though, to break the fast do I do the 80/20 rule all the time afterwards, or just to come off the detox please? I really want to sort my eating out PERMANENTLY but just need a little guidance, like how much fruit to eat, and do I go easy on the grains and legumes, or eat as much as I want? You’re a picture of health, so I’m looking to you to help me sort out my terrible sleep and BAcne which I’ve had for decades and would really like to get rid of. Oh, and you never mentioned the urinary frequency when doing the cleanse. 🥴 Can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to pee today.... 😆🤣😂 That you for all your hard work (and humour), you truly are an inspiration for me to get my health down, and myself thriving. 😊

    • @ChoosingMyHealth
      @ChoosingMyHealth  2 роки тому +1

      Aww! I’m proud of you for stepping out and choosing your health, sis. And thank you for your kind words! To break a juice fast, eat raw as long as the fast was. So if you juiced for 3 days, eat raw or at least 80/20 for at least 3 days. Thereafter, you may continue to eat as you wish but listen to your body. You’ll also thrive by increasing your raw food intake. Personally, the more raw I eat, the livelier I feel! Remember to eat lots of variety, and enough of it. Check out my video ua-cam.com/video/a1a5tcg1gsI/v-deo.html for a good idea of what to eat. Wishing you the very best!!! Cheering you on 💜☺️

    I enjoyed the above video and the information it contained, I would like to interject here a key piece of information regarding juices and smoothies. The difference between the two is very important to a person with Type 2 Diabetes. Pure juice travels directly to the bloodstream and spikes the blood sugars which is a danger in diabetes. Whereas a smoothie, with the fiber left in, slows down the sugars race to the bloodstream allowing an assist in keeping the spikes at a lower pace.

    • @ChoosingMyHealth
      @ChoosingMyHealth  2 роки тому +2

      Thank you Patti! Great point! This is one of the reasons, as mentioned in the video, I like to get at least 75% of my juice intake from vegetables, especially greens since they are so nutrient dense, and won’t spike sugar levels. And of course, for those who have concerns, it’s always wise to consult a doctor and/or nutritionist. Thanks for adding to the convo Patti 😊💜

And one or two other juices in the day, that may include beets (red juice), carrots (orange juice). Lots of room for creativity in the vegetable kingdom. correct me if im wrong... but you said juicing is better than blending because of the low fiber compare to blending.....if I don't have a juicer can I blend? or isn't just bc the juice will be absorbed better to the blood stream than blending it? I rather blend if my veggies are getting stripped of the fiber..

      It depends on the uses, but if you’re juicing for health to recover from illness, juicing helps the body to absorb nutrients via bloodstream easily. It’s also a concentrated form of nutrition that requires the body to expend less energy to process, so it feels more like fasting. Blending is still an excellent choice for overall health and wellness so do what works best for you! I do both 😊💕

    Thanks for this video! Would you recommend a juice cleanse while pregnant?

      Hey girl! To give my body a reboot without sacrificing the calories I need to feed baby while pregnant or breastfeeding, I eat what I usually do (whole foods plant-based) so I’m not restricting calories. In addition, I incorporate a lot of juice. Though it’s not a juice-only weekend, I still reap the benefits all the juice offers. Additionally, I always feel more energized. And naturally, I see a boost in energy 😊

      Hi Liz! Juicing is excellent because it provides extra nutrients for you and baby. I would not however, exclusively juice, as in, do a juice cleanse. I would drink the juices in addition to my normal everyday diet. Hope this helps!

    Do you peel cucumbers?

    • @ChoosingMyHealth
      @ChoosingMyHealth  2 роки тому

      No if organic. If not organic, a good wash with vinegar and a gentle peel works for me.

      A 5 digit number starting with 9 means organic. A 4 digit number starting with 3 or 4 is probably conventionally grown.

    Hello I'm from Philippines and I really want to go plant based eating but unfortunately It's reallyyy hard since my parents are the one who decides what to eat but still I'm trying on my own I tried talking it to them to go plant based eating but they just listen and didn't actually do it because they're entire life is not plant based and they're reasons would be "we don't know what to do first thing" "It's hard to make" " we can't be full by it and we need energy for the day for our work" (they are workaholic🤧) "the others can't eat this, they don't eat grasses" ( we have a small business and there are some employees that are just close to us) the total number of people here is 11 with the employee and 5 if it is just us and as for me I really wanna achieve eating plant based not just to help my self but to help others even just 0.001 percent and I am wondering what to eat just the affordable and easy to make for breakfast-lunch- and dinner I really hope you would reply 'cause I will do it even if it's hard..I'm still in highschool and I don't think they will lestin to my advice since they never did and I have so much work not just in school but also in house so I am reallyyy hoping you can help me or advice me and I will try this juice cleanse❤️🥺super duper thank youuu☺️❤️❤️❤️

      Hi Wendy! Thank you for reaching out honey! I understand- I was once in your shoes! If you can’t do fully plant-based at home, do what you can. Even if it’s just one plant-based meal. And see if they would give you a chance to make one to see potential! Baby steps. When I started in high school, I did my best to transition, but it wasn’t always easy. But it was worth it, because when I transitioned from home I used all my knowledge and put it into practice. I was so much more ahead because of it. So even if you can’t go fully plant based, everything you do now, even the learning process, is worth it. Keep doing research and grow this way.
