    Amazing video.
I am also a non-native and am looking for a way to teach English in China in provinces where there aren't enough ESL teachers.
    Everything has to be legal.
Does anyone know what the requirements are for Shanxi province?
An employer offered me a Z visa?
    Are there different Z visas/categories?
    Thank you in advance!

For the "ABBIE" ..."Abbie" in Shenzhen at U1 is the school that was promising documents and legal and decent work and my bf was arrested. They were reassuring us that we are " safe" for not being non-native speakers working in there, and eventually, nothing was as they said. I was off work the day the police came and taken away a girl from Armenia and my bf. Of course, there are some people who were non-natives and have managed to " escape" the police successfully or when they were arrested their employers would help them get out of the prison in like 2 weeks or so. My bf was arrested and stayed two months in terrible conditions plus the food I used to pay for some kind of " advanced kitchen" never got to him, so...it all depends. Actually, anything you do in China is just a pure matter of your luck

So sad for you guys I was trying to find a way to go but now Im confused . My question is, is there any way that non natives can work in safe conditions ?

      Not really.
Funny enough, even now in our city there is an agency called "Centar za Afirmaciju i razvoj" - which means a center for affirmation and development, even NOW they send people to China promising things and there is NOTHING about the fact that non natives are illegal to work.
You can find more information if you install Chinese app called WeCaht and ask people to put in the group "visa's" and in the group "arrested people in China".
You will connect with the real people and hear real experiences and confusing enough you will also find many job opportunities.

Lots and lots of Russians and Ukrainians teaching in China! It's totally illegal but the punishment if caught is only about $1000 usd and you must leave the country. For many people, that risk is worth it
You are not allowed to legally to teach if you are not a native speaker. Period.
Don't let this dude lie to you!
You can still work there, but you will live in fear of being caught and deported at any moment

    • @johnmfl3648

That's a lie and you know perfectly well it is. I have worked legally in China on a Z-visa in Xi'an and I intend to go back once borders reopen. There are some cities, the so called pilot cities like Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guandong, Guanzhou, Beijing and some others where NNETS cannot teach, whereas in the so called Tier-2 and Tier-3 is still legal. I can tell from my own experience and I am from Europe, although I am properly qualified.

Kindly chill bro, it looks like you don't know much, as I have mentioned in the video ( that you obviously didn't get any of it, based on your clueless comments) The law varies according to each province in China, in Henan province, you can teach legally as long as you meet the necessary conditions, I do have lots of Russian and Ukrainian friends all of them are working legally and living a happy life here. Check your facts mate.
