Hey my name is Johnny Metal & am 40 yr. Old guy WHO is a HUGE METAL HEAD. I sure as hell hope that Rob Halford & the members of Judas Priest ARE going to be reading this post. I got tha opportunity to have gone into Pittsburgh, Pa. To See Steel Panther open up for Judas Priest live. HOLY mother Fucking SHIT!!!!! What a Glorious Fucking night!!!! My GOOD buddie Kia has Steel Panther as they stated during their set " that hope they win over fans" and they won over. Which brings me to the point of what I'm saying...... JUDAS fucking PRIEST!!!!! they put on an explosive set and mind you pulled out ALL the stops. Rob Halford even came out on his Harley to do with the rest of Priest
"Hellbent For Leather"...... but tha highlight for Johnny Metal (that's me by tha way) was when they did "Turbo Lover". Their whole stage show was completely on fucking point. As I stated before that am hoping Judas Priest IS reading my post...... you'z guys made my night by on 9/17/06 I went to prison and on 9/15/14 celebrated 10 yrs. Clean & Sober. You guys TRULY made my night of a lifetime. You guys made a VERY GOOD/ WISE choice with Richie Faulkner, he was smoking tonight. Oh!!!!! TURBO LOVER WAS again the Fucking highlight of the show tonight. You'z guys were sooooooooooooo GOOD and FOREVER be burned into my METAL heart till I take my last breathe. I was literally at this show....I had no idea they made a DVD, haha. Saw them for Ram it Down and Painkiller. Excellent live band. I've seen countless shows at the Nassau Coliseum. 89' Metallica Justice tour...Black tour.....All Epic. It's so hard to get to see 2-3 awesome bands in a venue like this anymore. It's all huge all day festivals that you can't always hit. Much more difficult than having just an insane night out seeing a show. Now there's 15 bands.

Too bad they had allready shelved 'Between the Hammer & The Anvil' at this point of the tour, plus they stopped playing 'Metal Meltdown', because Rob had trouble keeping up with the tempo of the song or something. The intro for it remained as the intro to 'Riding on the Wind', which replaced it in the setlist, though.

I don't care what sexuality he is, never did. I was just pointing out that it was always a topic of conversation back when I became a fan in the 80s.
I was there 3rd row. Never forget how exciting it was. Halfords high notes were just unbelievable. And his emotional delivery on beyond the realms. Great stuff! What I don't understand is the endless insistence on keeping "Grinder" in the set... Yes it's a cool song but it really has gotten tired over the years. It's also a big drop after such an intense opening with hellbent for leather. How awesome would have been if they played Rapid Fire instead of Grinder? They certainly had the drummer for it

i think part of halford's introduction to beyond the realms of death when he says please take this song as it was always intended was in DREAM DECEIVERS THE STORY OF JAMES VANCE VS JUDAS PRIEST, (the great documentary about judas priest going to court to defend there good name), along with some other photage of them playing the song at this concert but it was more well shot and its in black in white and they show some of the faces in the crowd and its realy dramatic and eary looking

During the 'Painkiller'-days, Tipton acted as the lead guitarist on most of the record, playing the solos on several of the singles (title cut, 'A Touch of Evil' etc). It seems K.K. "stepped down" a bit for this tour. Same thing goes for the 1988 'Mercenaries of metal' tour. K.K. was more of a "show off" (not in a bad way), and Tipton handled the majority of the soloing. But I love it when K.K. showed off during 'Sinner' in 1988 and the end solo in 'Beyond the Realms of Death'. Too bad they didn't do 'Sinner' on the 'Painkiller' tour too.
Thanks for sharing” Pumpkin Priest”. Do you own this video DVD by chance or do you at least know where you gotten it from? I would like to know. I was there and my father was with me at that time. He passed away in 2016 and was a very memorable one. Not only we saw the band on stage, but in person backstage. Once again, thanks for sharing this live video of Judas Priest on UA-cam. There’s an archive in New York. That owns 50,000 concerts… all from Nassau 1990 or related. Mark from jones beach would record them at Nassau using NBC’s master camera. They saved all the masters, but mark released plenty of shows and traded. Every single concert ever recorded by him, NbC actually has the master of. :) hope that’s helps ya! So it’s almost impossible for you to get the master unless you… do smth illegal. LMAO.
Clapton, Don Henley, Judas Priest, Grateful Dead, legit anyone who came to Nassau in 1989-91. There most likely exists a recording from Mark, located in one of various NbC archives. A lot of these shows have been lost or ruined in quality. And NbC obviously has no plan to release any material…
This concert in regard to quality… is close to a 2/10 in quality compared to the masters I have from Nassau. It’s a shame how ruined tapes get from people trading them on shitty DVDs like these apparently lmao.

Me neither man, but I think it was one of his greatests tours ever , he was at his finest!
fflazerus Painkiller changed his voice and I think he was tired too.
He WAS tired and losing his spirit but never the less, still giving it 100%.
He also was smoking alot during sobriety and with all the touring it started to take a toll on him.
He somehow got his full voice back in 2000( probably the lack of touring for 5 years) and was awesome.
With the second coming of Priest he quit smoking around the writing of Nostradamus and his phrasing and highs returned to normal, even better.
