I've had this exhaust on my car for over a year now (Stealth black), also along with a grimspeed air filter and GFB RESPONS Bov, car still sounds amazing and pops whilst downshifting + clutch in and accelerate. 🔥
@@OmniGarage Yes! I was debating this one or going single exit remark just came out, but i dont want the car too be too load ( the single exit one has no resonator) , i think muffler is just about the right amount. I went with the 4 inch double wall burnt tip, cant wait for it to come in!!
The list is long (on both of our vehicles) but we’ll be patient and do them as time/funds allow. A short list on the 2019 would be a the cosmetic stuff (front lip, Perrin engine dress up, lug nuts), full catback exhaust, intake and a tune at Possum Bourne Motorsport.
Sounds great.. FYI I’m pretty sure they give you the exhaust hangers because they’re stiffer and won’t move as much and potentially hit the bumper. 🤷🏼♂️
Purely appearance. The stock STi exhaust has a double walled tip, this is available in both variants. Do a quick Google search and you’ll see some comparison photos.
I think it’d be safe to say given the engines are different (FA on the 2015+ WRX vs the EJ), the sound will differ too. Might pay to watch some more videos and compare that way.
Thanks! If you’re rev matching on downshifts you’re occasionally hear a crackle, however they’re relatively subtle unless you’re up around the 5-6K RPM mark.
Thanks LJ! An axle-back or catback exhaust do not require a tune. Cat-back exhaust systems affect the region of exhaust after the catalytic converters. This means that the new parts are clear from any sensors or meters that the ECU (Engine Control Unit) may need to run the vehicle. They may let more sound flow through, but the system does not affect the aspiration of the engine. As a result, cat-back (so axle-back too) exhaust systems do not require an updated tune.
@@OmniGarage Thanks so much for the helpful info! 👍🏽 I also forgot to ask did you upgrade your air intake? Because the exhaust sounds pretty damn amazing!
Did this last week on my 2016 wrx. I was unlucky to have stripped a bolt. And my god is was it a pain to get out with so little room. Had hammer in an extractor and use a breaker bar. It amazing how much better car sounds.
Cold start up is loud, so if you’re worried about annoying the neighbour you probably will. Once warm, it quiets down a little. It does not drone at highway speeds so I found it great for daily driving. Noisy when you put your foot down up the rev range, but tame if you’re driving “normally.”
I’m really happy with the sound! Will be interesting to compare this to a full exhaust system at some point in the future. Obviously there’s no power gain with the delete, but the rumble is definitely able to be heard now!
@@OmniGarage I've been looking at these muffler delete pipes as an option for my STI as I don't want to void the warranty. I really appreciate this video as I was unsure how much difference it would honestly make. Can comfortably say again, I'm impressed!
I just wanna hear the unequal length rumble like it’s meant to sound. Oh and I need it so I can hear when to shift. Too quiet, stock. 2019 STI owner also.
@@OmniGarage just wait till you get a aftermarket down pipe! Also I suggest getting the non resonated midpipe from Remark to really open it up. I have the MAPerformance catted J-Pipe an deletes on my WRX an it sounds amazing!!! I actually ordered the single exit Remark just came out with, just waiting for it to arrive!
I've got an STI on order arriving in June and want to install these straight away. Is there any drone at 100km/h? Also any issues with your Subaru dealer after you installed these? I'm looking at getting the servicing plan with my STI which pushes the factory warranty out to 6 years but don't want to be replacing the Remark exhaust with stock mufflers every time I take the car in for a service.
Maybe a silly question but, Even if it does leak what is the issue? It's not like a leak here should cause issues since it's long after any metered air... right? 🤔 What are the risks here?
An exhaust leak can cause dangerous gases to enter the atmosphere before being properly treated - however given this is so far back in the exhaust chain, I don’t think there would be any real issue with a slight leak.
@@OmniGarage just install the same remark axleback as your last Friday and it was leaking air and water. I also try adjusting the gasket. Hopefully it stop after a while
Definitely not too loud in person. If you’re in the market for an aftermarket exhaust, you’re going to end up with something louder that stock no matter what you purchase.
I've had this exhaust on my car for over a year now (Stealth black), also along with a grimspeed air filter and GFB RESPONS Bov, car still sounds amazing and pops whilst downshifting + clutch in and accelerate. 🔥
Nice! I loved this exhaust in my time owning the car. Great value for money too!
Are there any resonance sound inside the car? I am also trying to find a good muffler delete solution for my car.
This sounds so much better than one of those obnoxious full exhaust systems. Holy moly!
I haven’t had any experience with any other systems but wouldn’t hesitate to install this again in a heartbeat. Great sound for a small price.
Real nice video including the install, thank you! I think this is really what the car should comes with, we are buying it for the rumble!
Thanks for the kind comment Tian. Totally agreed! This is a reasonable inexpensive way to open up the sound.

Can’t wait to put this one on my 21 sti 🤤 thanks for the great work man!
Thanks for the comment! I’m sure you’ll love it, do you have just the stock exhaust on it now?
@@OmniGarage yes i keep it stock as possible
You won’t regret this! Do you have any other mods on the STi or will this be the first?

Yeah I guess.
Hey I like your car detailing products you got over there! Love the exhaust.
Thanks!
Really nicely produced video!
Thank you Keith!
Im planning on getting a new wrx in a few months and im definitely installing these
Such an easy thing to change and unlocks the EJ rumble!
I have these 3’ Dual Wall along with the Mid pipe on my 2019 Sti It sound great is way better than Nameless, Invidia or those other brands IMO!
We’ve had no experience with Nameless or Invidia yet but really happy with this as a well priced option to unlock the boxer sound!
It sounds so nice!
It sure does, not too bad for such an easy modification to the stock exhaust.
The R400 catback sounds way better 😉✌🏼
Mine didn't come with rubber hangars or license plate covers is that normal?
Potentially they’ve changed the inclusions. I think the hangers are a must, but in this case we did use the stock hangers so didn’t require them.
what’s different between single wall and double wall? thanks in advance!
Purely appearance. The stock STi exhaust has a double walled tip, this is available in both variants. Do a quick Google search and you’ll see some comparison photos.
in theory, ease of cleaning w/double wall being easier to clean. my exhaust soots up quickly and the tips need cleaning attention often
Definitely getting this for my STi
Such a worthwhile, cost effective way to unlock the EJ sound!
Do you know if the sound will differ between sti and original wrx
I think it’d be safe to say given the engines are different (FA on the 2015+ WRX vs the EJ), the sound will differ too. Might pay to watch some more videos and compare that way.
Do you know if I can use the oem bolts? I p[icked up a used remark but it dint come with the bolts or gasket.
Unsure sorry
why not try the OE bolts? unless one snaps, they should work fine. Is the remark flange thicker than the OE flange?
Great video. Is there any crackles or pops with this muffler delete?

Did the midpipe originally have acircle gasket inside lip of the flange?
Yep it did.

Will this fit on a invidia mid pipe ?
I’m unsure sorry.

you should have no issues with any exhaust voiding warranty as long as its behind the catalyic converter

Does the burnt look come in 4 inch?
Yes I believe this is an option on the 4-inch.
Will this exhaust fit on a 2021 WRX Premium? Asking for a friend lol 😉
Yes - this will fit the current generation up to the 21 model year.
Will this be a straight fit on a Subaru Forester 2.0XT? Cheers

my OE exhaust leaked bad at the axle flange, so maybe it's a Subaru design flaw...the OE exhaust does not have a gasket at that/those flanges
Can i just get one of them
Check out remarks website and see if there is an option for you
sold as a pair, but you can install 1 if you wish. 1 OE muffler and 1 muffler delete...should be interesting... 🤔

Bro u need a breaker bar! 😂 nice vid
@Boost’d we need lots of tools!
When I come to stop sign with second gear and accelerate I feel no power at low end torque.
You’re probably lugging the engine. Drop it down into first!
Be careful with lugging. These engines really do not like that and it can cause premature wear.
