just took my stock axle portion of the exhaust off and the bolts were impossible to get off.... Until i used anti-steeze. After spraying the antisteeze it came off super easily with the help of a ratchet extender(i used the lever for my floor car jack). I hope this helped anyone who wants to install it. This is only really a problem if your exhaust is rusty. Anti-steeze will go for $7
I sprayed my bolts and hangers with WD-40 and let it soak about 15 minutes before I took mine off. Went pretty easy and only took about 5 minutes actually taking them off.
^Partially true, but not always. Generally speaking, with a turbo car you do not need a tune or a catback or axelback. Anything beyond that you should consider one.
Do you know if doing just axel back for a Lexus LC500 will it mess around with any O2 sensors or is that not part of where the parts will be replaced? Thank you!
This is cool and all but what you're doing is mainly in regard to the make and model of the car your working on. While most exhaust systems are topically similar anyone coming on here to learn how to do it will probably need instructions on thier specific car given thier lack of experience and not being able to take 'general' instructions like you're giving. Thanks for sharing tho
What’s the name of that axle back? I have a wrx but I don’t want a loud axle back, I just want to hear it and I’d like a deeper tone. This one in the video sounded nice
The one in the video is a Remark "Boso Edition" Axleback, but it is installed on an STI here. We will have more sound clips later next week. www.subispeed.com/2015-subaru-wrx/exhaust/axle-back/greddy-remark-boso-edition-axleback-2015-wrx-sti#.XVxDj-hKirw
SubiSpeed in the clip with the boso axleback, is that how it sounds just with the axleback or is that with a downpipe as well? Also resonator still on? Thanks
Might be they want to show the average Subaru owner how to do it with basic hand tools. Not everyone has impact tools. On second thought I have a number of impact wrenches but not the muffler hanger removing tool. At 74 years old I still have the strength to remove them by hand. I haven't taken the mufflers off the WRX but had to remove them from my wife's Forester xt to put the white line sway bar on and install a trailer hitch.
@@SubiSpeed True, I've learned all I know by looking at aftermarket parts and then Google and UA-cam to research what it does, how it does it, and why I would want it. I was absolutely lost in the sauce at first though
When I bought mine I was disappointed at how quiet the car was, but boy the axle backs really open it up more than I imagined. So, does the down pipe open up the sound more? Assume so, and yes I’ll do a catalytic converter ha

When you do these install videos, could you also include torque specs on the bolts
torque to tight
2 ugga duggas
Always fun installing learning about your car

i ordered my axel-back 13 hours ago AND ITS NOT HERE YET! REEEEEEEEEEEEE
Not amazon prime bru
Thank you for answering a big question of mine
Is customer service okay? I’ve been trying to get ahold of you guys never get a response.
Could you keep stock gasket on with an aftermarket axelback?
I have these pre ordered and I cant FIRGGEN WAIT
Same, Ordered a week ago tho. Hoping to get them soon!
@@TehAnalog how much longer did it take to get them?
What is the db noise level difference between mufflers on and off? And last how much mula?
Nameless has pretty good prices. My axle back was 250 but with a muffler it was 300.
Hardest part about this video, getting the car up there
My biggest concern is does it drone? If so how much? Or how little?
What size are those gaskets????
Please do a boost leak test 2 minutes Tuesday. I can’t find a video or instructions on how to do one on our fa motors
Where did u get ur fade? They didn’t cut it evenly
Lol was thinking thw same
My mom cuts that bruh! It just favors my good side... 😂
SubiSpeed lol niiice
Aw man i didn't want to say anything lol
When is the announcement of the last giveaway? For the prototype grille.
Keep up the awesome work! Placing another big order on Friday.
Next months new products video!
@@SubiSpeed Awesome!
Kevin. Please tell us when we can buy the 2018+ JDM style grille! It’s been soo long!!
Two minute Tuesday took over 4 minutes 😉
Do you need an access port / tune for just a muffler delete? Thank you guys for all the great content!
No. Exhaust don't usually add any performance so no tune needed.
^Partially true, but not always. Generally speaking, with a turbo car you do not need a tune or a catback or axelback. Anything beyond that you should consider one.
Still waiting on the remark stealth edition to come in I ordered in May
Generic Gamer Jesus Christ
What da heck have you contacted them???? 😨
Yeah I have they’ve been in back order since then and the dates They’ve expected them to come in keeps getting extended
I’ve ordered fog lights from them and they came within a few days I just wish there was a little more communication
If it goes much longer, cancel the transaction and get it somewhere else.
Do you know if doing just axel back for a Lexus LC500 will it mess around with any O2 sensors or is that not part of where the parts will be replaced? Thank you!
How long is the wait to get the vs style carbon fiber hood that you guys just put on your website
i installed my blox muffler delete and it leaks a little bit from where the mid pipe meets the axle back, am i fine ?
any issues if that oem gasket ring is not removed? im asking cause i didnt know about it when i installed the exhaust
Francisco Perez same
For a cat back exhaust do you need to remove the converter??
No the exhaust will connect to your catalytic converter and go back the rest of the way. (Thats why its called a cat back)
Subiespeed really needs to come up with new tail light design for 2010+ WXRs
I just bought a 2013 STI Hatchback and they are not cool
Hey guys is it possible to mount a different Y pipe to the invidia r400 axel back I DO NOT want to use the invidia Y pipe.
Would have to have a custom one made.
@@SubiSpeed thanks for quick response
what exhaust setup is on the white wrx at the end?
I got leak around gasket
What can I do?
Are legal in California?
But not if you’re in New England and one but rounds out because it’s rusted on and you need vise grips to grip and rip the nut off
Anyone has an idea how will an axleback affect a warranty? I got a brand new 2020 WRX and not quite sure yet, will ask my dealer soon though. Thanks
Any update? Haha I have a 2020 Impreza!
@@rutiklops yeah axlebacks are totally fine !
These will not void your warranty
Will this fit a Perrin Y-Pipe?
Nope. Bolts up to stock
Do you need a tune after installing one?
No.
Just 15+?
Will I need to get a tune for this?

The STI in this video had all stock parts except the axlebacks.
SubiSpeed what axle back do you guys sell with the deepest tone?
Would those tips you installed fit a 2011 sti with a Cobb exhaust?
@@staypuft5428 😭😭😭 hurt I've been trying to find some but no luck thank you though!🤙🏽
Normal
Alexbacks are costing way too much these days. Just go to a muffler shop and let them make them for less than 200 bucks.
Is this louder than a muffler delete.
This IS a muffler delete....
idiotfieldmouse aww sorry im just starting to get into cars
this is a muffler delete but this exhaust itself is the boso edition which are louder and more aggressive than the reg one they sell in my opinion.
Can you guys please email me back ,it’s been three days already. That’s not fair for your customers.
Jason Cordova next time order from import image racing. Great customer service and fast shipping
Yeah, super easy. First step, buy a $10,000 hydraulic, then spend another $10,000 to raise your garage ceiling.
We've done this with none of that as well: ua-cam.com/video/yEsQa9N3Yfc/v-deo.html
It's just easier to show you everything when the car is on a lift 😉

Yes a downpipe will make your exhaust louder.
