@@Autofreakgarage I know this is going to sound pointless, but I'm curious... When you take the car out and you're just kind of driving normal, what do you average for fuel economy? I’m actually getting ready to pick up a 2018 STi and I don’t really feel like making more power so I’m glad there’s actually quite a few things I can do to improve the reliability without needing a tune
First mod on my new STI will be the AOS system, second will be the upgraded bypass valve, third will be the upgraded radiator… and so on from there. Big time thanks for these very important upgrades for longevity.
I have a GFB Deceptor Pro II TMS on my 2019 WRX STI Limited and never had any issues with having my BOV installed. With the deceptor pro, I can adjust from 0 to 100 either to vent or recirculation. I only have it set to 90% recirculating. One of the best BOV's to buy. Other than that, nice ride. Already upgraded the Killer B oil pickup and baffle. Need the oil pan and will look into those 6 other upgrades.
I just got a 2017 Subaru wrx that’s been modded quite a bit, but it’s had a lot of tasteful mods done where it runs killer but still reliable for a daily. I’m running the same wheels, and mine has coil overs on it lowered about an inch. A big upgrade I’d advise if you’re building power is upgraded half shafts, I feel a lot better about mine knowing I’m not going to disintegrate half shafts.

Yes, that goes for anything. A tune will help most of these modifications use their full potential. However, these 7 modifications are items you can install without a tune needed for the car to run properly and smoothly.
I think he means mods that can go without a tune WITHOUT hurting the engine. A tmic won't get gains without a tune but it also won't blow up the engine if you run it without a tune.

Off topic. What do you recommend exhaust? which is better AWE track or touring edition.? I watched your video already between the track and touring can’t decide. I got 21 STI. Thanks
Lot's to consider. However, based of my experience, I preferred the tone of the track. Much more bass and more aggressive. The touring sounded good, but a bit too high pitch with my setup for my liking.
You dont technically need a tune for a front mount. Even though the piping is different it doesn’t change the amount of air going into it. The only reason you would WANT a tune is to actually see the gain from having a front mount because it keeps the temps lower but you don’t need a tune because it isn’t changing the amount of air it’s getting
Question about your tomei, does it have any leaks? I've been plagued with leaks at both joint connections for the catback that I just can't ever seem to remove. I've applied copper gasket maker inside the connections, so now the leaks are super minimal (albeit tiny tiny bit there). I have a 2021 sti btw. I also get the spring rattle in the front, but I fixed it by simply shifting the clamp so that the bolt isn't next to the spring.
Oh damn you have everything listed. Cool. How’s it work any problems? I put something similar in my friends Cadillac. Was a nice system and good price but some stuff wasn’t designed well on it. Blue tooth problems and whatnot. This was 3 or 4 years ago though.

My 2017 wrx doesn’t have Apple CarPlay. Can I buy the wireless thing that in the Description? To get me Apple CarPlay?
No you need a unit that you are able to download the app for. I suggest the unit I have, which is the idoing. There is a link in the description for it.
Off topic. What do you recommend exhaust? which is better AWE track or touring edition.? I watched your video already between the track and touring can’t decide. I got 21 STI. Thanks
Lot's to consider. However, based of my experience, I preferred the tone of the track. Much more bass and more aggressive. The touring sounded good, but a bit too high pitch with my setup for my liking.
the race AOS needs a tune because it vents through a pcv valve to atmosphere
Sounds, and looks amazing!!Great content !!as always be safe out there, and God Bless 👍🏻👍🏻🏁🇺🇸
Hi. Just curious what headlights you have on there? Also did you add any tint to them?

Thanks!!
What are those detectors are for? *Just curious*
doesnt a top mount change the air flow with bigger intake and pipes?
No change in flow. Just able to hold larger capacities. Pipes and hoses are the same design as stock.
Are these specifically ej motor upgrades that you don’t need a tune for or will the SA take these mods just fine too?
I am referring to the EJ in this video
were did you find all the carbon for the engine bay? . except the alternator cover i know were to get that
Multiple companies. Cobb, password jdm, subispeed, revel gt.
I hace a bomba by pass valve do i need a tune I have mine in the bottom not top of my engine on my wrx 2020
Do you need a tune for intake there's some intakes stock size says no need for tune and sometimes they have a air flow straightner in them
Yes. 100% need a tune if you put any intake on.
Thanks man
Question about your tomei, does it have any leaks? I've been plagued with leaks at both joint connections for the catback that I just can't ever seem to remove. I've applied copper gasket maker inside the connections, so now the leaks are super minimal (albeit tiny tiny bit there). I have a 2021 sti btw. I also get the spring rattle in the front, but I fixed it by simply shifting the clamp so that the bolt isn't next to the spring.
No issues with mine. I removed my springs entirely to rid the rattle.
@@Autofreakgarage I see, guess I'm unlucky seeing as you have no leak even without the spring haha. Thanks for the fast response man!
Is there a bpv that makes a flutter sound thats fully recirculating?
Grimmspeed has one that offers good sound from a bpv
Hey man is that an aftermarket screen for the CarPlay? I have a 2018 STI and been wanting one just like that.
Yes it has CarPlay
@@Autofreakgarage do you know what the unit is called or where I can buy it?
There’s a link in the description under car stuff for it
@@Autofreakgarage thank you
Nice car man very clean. Who makes that head unit that you have ?
Idoing. There is a link to it in the description under "car stuff"
Oh damn you have everything listed. Cool. How’s it work any problems? I put something similar in my friends Cadillac. Was a nice system and good price but some stuff wasn’t designed well on it. Blue tooth problems and whatnot. This was 3 or 4 years ago though.
It has been trouble free. Couldn’t recommend it enough 👍🏻
This video needs to be pinned at the top of every VA forum
This engine sounds so amazing.
