Have you ever done gold flakes or gold leaf in this technique before to get a more vibrant gold?
We haven't specifically done it ourselves but there's no reason why it wouldn't work; flakes and powders can sometime sink or float in unusual ways so it might be worth an experiment first to be sure you get the desired effect.
Ficou linda arrazo quero faze uma assim
Thanks for your information 💕🙂💕
This is so pretty. I like how it turned out.
Glad you like the end result.

Hi Reyna, thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed the video!
Beautiful
Do you ship to the US?
Yes we can ship by FedEx.
How durable is the counter?
The resin will form a relatively hard wearing surface. As you would imagine it is possible to scratch if sharp or hard objects were to be dragged or scraped over the resin. The good thing is that scratches can be sanded and polished out of the surface if needed. On heat resistance, GlassCast has a Tg of about 45°C so we would always recommend using a heat proof mat of coasters when placing hot items on the surface to prevent the surface from becoming softened and damaged by excess heat.
Amazing !!!
That’s absolutely superb!
Thanks!
Can this be used for a dining table?
Yes the process is the same, although you may need to be more careful with the edges if they are not rounded like a worktop.
Can this be put on a linoleum tile type of floor? I'm not sure what it is. I like this and am also looking for one with purple and one with aqua.
Hi Diana, generally we recommend removing vinyl or linoleum as they do not offer as stable a surface as a hard floor underneath. Also patterns on them tend to fill in loosing definition.
I love this, but I want a white countertop with fine pink and silver glitter do you do something like this ?
Not specifically as a kit but you 'may' achieve the effect with the SHIMR Pigments. Alternatively though, you can use any glitters that you can obtain from craft stores, etc. to achieve an effect with a slightly larger glitter flake rather than just having the shimmery effect of the SHIMR powders that we sell.
Can I use black base 4 green?
You can vary the colours to suit your own artistic tastes.
Thank you for sharing this..
GOD BLESS YOU!!!
.
Thanks for the feedback Vivianne, we're glad you liked it :)
very beautiful , but will the heat thinks effect the resin ??
Whilst different manufacturers (many from the US) make various claims about the heat resistance of their epoxy resin, we have never found a countertop resin with better heat resistance than GlassCast. That said, it is still possible to lightly mark any resin countertop if hot plates or very hot drinks are placed and left directly on it. The good news is that these marks do tend to ‘bounce back’ after time, often leaving no mark at all or which can easily be polished out if needs be.
Just like a laminate or wooden worktop, very hot objects - such as a pan taken directly from the oven or off the hob - should never by placed directly onto the resin surface because they will mark it. However, if this were to accidentally happen, the results are usually less obvious than they would be on a wood or laminate worktop and can generally be rectified more easily.
Surely this stuff scratches easily ?
The resin, once fully cured, has a good level of scratch resistance. We have seen this resin used on floors and worktops with great success and good longevity with careful use. If you do pick up scratches over time, being resin, they can be sanded and polished out in most cases.
Can I use this over granite?
Yes, no porblem - you will need to thoroughly clean the surface and degrease it to ensure there are no surface contaminants that may stop the epoxy from bonding such as silicone deposits from general cleaning products but as long as it is clean and free of such issues, it will work perfectly well.
@@glasscastresin Thank you so much!!
Can you do this on tile?
In theory yes but you may need to flood coat the surface first to give yourself a better level surface to work off otherwise, you may find that the grout lines show through the final cured surface as slight dimples/pulls in the top surface.
