I'm thinking of doing this to my kitchen work tops. I have similar wall tiles to those shown and would like to give them a similar effect. Would the kit work on vertical tiles too?
Hi Sandi, you wouldn't be able to directly apply the resin to the tiles, the resin is self levelling so wouldn't stick to a vertical surface. If you were able to remove the tiles you could in theory coat the tiles before reattaching them to the wall

Do you ever use isopropyl alcohol for creating effects?
Yes IPA can be used in that way for certain effects as can alcohol inks themselves. We recommend doing a small test piece to perfect the technique and get the correct pigment balance.
Can you use the product with the sink and hob in situ?
We would always recommend to remove both if possible to achieve the best finish. If left in the resin would bond, meaning you couldn’t remove the hob or sink and there’s always the risk of movement which could result in problems.
Does the work surface , enough scratch resistant. Un heat resistance?
Its a very hard surface and should stand up to scratches well although we'd not recommend using knives and chopping directly onto it as that is likely to scratch and gouge at the surface but any light surface scratches that may develop over time should be easy to buff out with a suitable polish. In terms of heat resistance, it is good to about 45-50'C so we'd recommend using a place mat or stand rather than putting red hot items down onto the top.
how to get mix the jet black primer, using epoxy and black powder?
The kits include the jet black liquid. The black powder is used in the top coat.

Hi, I'm starting my adventure with your glasscast 3 resin. And I have a problem with dust particles, the resin will dry out, you can see it everywhere. Is there a way to get the surface to be perfect after drying
Try and reduce the dust in the workspace as best you can. Otherwise you will likely need a light sand and then polish to get a dust free surface.
you dont use blow torch to get air bubbles out? do you sand and put top coat or sealer coat on?
You don't usually need a blow torch. The top coat does not need an additional finish on top.
Which type of stone slab would absorb these colors the best?
Or are these resins only for wooden counters?
The use of the basecoat means these colours can be applied to any coloured worktop and still get a good colour coverage.

I need to do it 3-4 mm thickness
I understood also I need 6-8 L epoxy 3
But what about the others effects? Which and how many gram I need to use .

What is the strength of the epoxy material
Its difficult to quantify strength as it depends what you mean. As its normally used as a coating material, the strength is largely irrelevant as that comes from the substrate you're pouring over. Its a very hard curing resin so once fully cured, is 'strong' but it depends what you're comparing it to.
would this work on the floors?
Yes the same system and resin can be used for floor projects.
Does it all self level
Typically for the resin to self level to a smooth finish, such as on a countertop, a minimum of a 1.5mm layer is needed. The surface that the resin is being applied to also needs to be level

Can it be done with concrete tops?....tq
Yes definitely although it would be important to make sure the concrete was well sealed prior to starting as concrete tends to be porous and thus allows a lot of air to escape into the resin as it is curing.

I thought epoxy needs 12 to 24 hrs to cure
Full cure at the end of the whole process is around 24 hours if you keep the temperatures at 20'C+ however as with all resins, the cure has a tail and the material gets harder and harder with time so we normally suggest leaving it a few days before heavy use (if you can) as its much less prone to being scuffed/marked the longer you leave it.
i was going to get it, delivery is 114 .. the product is less than that... XD noope
I'm assuming you're in the U.S.; unfortunately, the resins and hardeners are classified as Dangerous Goods so have to be transported on a suitable service. This incurs a £55.00 hazardous goods handling fee which is what we are charged by FedEx, as the fee is fixed regardless of the size of the order, it is painfully high on small orders but for larger orders, its not so bad. I can certainly see why its off putting though and I wish we had another option but right now, I'm afraid we're stuck with FedEx as they're the only courier offering such a service.
