@@SylviaYSI True, I think they should bring Zomboss fights back from PvZ 1 and PvZ 2, as I really enjoyed those. They also seem to be bringing more level types with the beach theme too, though I hope more of the zones are more creative ideas, as a lot of zones have been done before. If they also expand on the story more, it would be really good, it does not have to be amazing, but something like the story of PvZ 2, so the whole experience is more cohesive. I think all of these things would help the game become more interesting and fun.
@@iceycones654 If they bring back boss fights back I really, REALLY hope they do a better job that PVZ 2. The first few bosses were SO painfully similar, and if you mention the boss rematches in Modern Day I will combust.

I was gonna dispute this with the addition of Tugboat, but honestly? No, nothing in this game is truly original. Hell, they took music from the OLD PVZ3 beta 😭
There were original ideas like Taco Time and some really cool new plants, but It all got removed after they re-did the whole game. I still miss Taco Time.
Hello, Writer of the PvZ 3: WCHB here! I just wanted to talk a little bit about what I have experienced with this whole situation. Disclaimer: I was not involved on social medias (like Twitter or UA-cam) at the time to see what was going on, so I will just describe what I saw. At first, I wasn't really sure how to act in regards of the project, but I saw everything as: We wanted to make something cool for everybody, but we made some mistakes in the path leading to the cancellation of the project. I'm not saying this in regards of the whole team, but as a personal experience of mine. In the end, I noticed all comments made about the project in general (like the name, art style, gameplay, etc) and I learned to understand what was right and what was wrong. Mistakes were made, but I think I learned from them. After all, every new experience is a life lesson, right? I just hope everybody is doing alright in the Plants Vs. Zombies community, and despite me leaving this community for good, the next project the WCHB Team is doing is surely making me and the whole team extremely proud!
Heyo, read this and yeah I get what you’re saying (hope the project goes well with what’s being cooked up), though I didn’t say anything more than a line apologizing for what I had said before in this video. Might’ve been better said on the last PVZ3 video, but regardless, it was a neat project

I’m waiting until the game officially launches worldwide to play it, in case they make it even better and add more stuff. It’s actually cool to see a semi-tolerable version of this game.

Yeah, this game loves to fill lanes with zombies a lot. I’m really hoping that’s something they decide to change in the future, it’s frustrating knowing that at any moment the game could just decide that you don’t deserve to have a specific lane
Honestly I actually played some of the game (which I still can’t believe I did) and I was surprised to realize that I kinda enjoyed the gameplay I think this game might be brainwashing me…
PVZ3 is ultimately still a PVZ game. By default, the formula will always be enjoyable to an extent, which is the only reason why I didn’t bring up anything regarding that in the video. PopCap really hit a sweet spot with the TD games, since it’s showing here too 😭

While part of it is because I tend to like villains, it’s also because he adds conflict which is much more enjoyable than stuff like the characters doing cowboy astronaut training, having a picnic, and making truffle tacos
Im actually having alot more fun than before, the pick a plant was a great addition, its still the worst tower defense PVZ game but its a decent enough experience, even if its still missing alot of important stuff like minigames, conveyor levels, bosses etc, but its alright
Honestly this is really how I feel too. Worst TD game in the franchise easily, but still fine? It’s really hard to make an objectively fun TD format bad, so even at its worst, that part of the game will always be enjoyable to an extent

I think this games worst aspects by far are the “gardenscapes” influences, and how the levels are. The gardenscapes aspects are so bland and overdone it just makes the game feel so lame. And my worst pet peeve about it is how the levels are done. In past games the levels have always been divided into worlds or different themes/locations, but now it’s just all jumbled into one continuous progression and it doesn’t feel like anything’s being accomplished while playing. That’s just my take tho, I hope they’ll improve the game even further for a hopefully decent release!!
On point bro, the biggest reason I got into Reflourished is because of it's Holiday Mashup world, which does a phenomenal job at capturing your heart, I can replay the entire campaign and still have fun. We need transitions bruh
I kinda love how the Characters from the comics are coming to play, AKA Patrice. I'm imagining how fucking cool it would be if another PVZ GW title or update were teased, and it released Patrice and Nate as playable characters fighting alongside the plants or whatnot. I feel it would be a very cool spin
They should have just reworked the original PvZ3 instead of starting from scratch. I enjoyed it even with its major flaws and weird design. The new one puts the Zzzzzzzz... in Zombie. My suggestion is to add taco time back and better levels. (Scrap most and redo them)
It’s pretty unfortunate that the old beta is only just now getting seen in a slightly more positive light, had the community and PopCap themselves had more confidence in the first outing of PVZ3 we could’ve actually had a banger game. I know someone who loved that beta a lot, and seeing some footage for myself? It looked extremely promising. Big shame that it’s completely unplayable now
The beta should've stayed the same but adding sunflowers, being horizontal and with the new PvZ 3 Style and the game rn would be much better. Taco Time was such a promising mechanic.

I completely get the viewpoint, but for a lot of what this game has done, I don’t really see any majorly bad parts besides the MTX they’re HEAVILY pushing and the lives mechanic. That stuff sucks, but it’s also a part of modern mobile gaming; we could very well see it added to PVZ2 in the future
It's super cool to see this game start to turn around, always so nice when developers actually start to listen to feedback !! I know it's probably not going to be as hype as either of the original games, but it's a breath of fresh air to hear it's getting better
I would like to see plant upgrades come back in some form, either like how pvz 1 did it, or like how pvz3 had pauses in between waves to upgrade plants before the next one
Let's close our eyes for a second and imagine a timeline where PopCap was not bought by EA and all of the talented people from that company never left and kept making new and original banger casual games with no major intervention from higher-ups
At this point, I don’t think that stuff will ever truly go away. Being completely serious when I say this; modern mobile gaming isn’t going to change unless either the consumers stop buying into it, or countries start cracking down on the business tactics of the games. Otherwise? Very much doubt we’ll see the game have fairly reasonable features, like infinite lives
Have the main campaign have pick your seed, and there was be a smaller side mode with set-seed with levels specifically build around the set seed selection, best of both worlds.
BFN was at least a pretty good game in its own, it only looks bad in comparison to GW2, which is a bit unfortunate since it was supposed to be a another spin off in the same genre and not a sequel, but the comparisons also make sense. Pvz 3 is only now just getting tolerable to play.
The plot seems to suggest all the worlds are a dream, but I really wanna see the surreal/trippy atmosphere of dreams milked for all its worth. Right now, while the game is crawling in the right direction, it still feels nothingburger

Truly really happy with the new latest pvz3 update, truly a good start and step in the right direction For me, I feel pvz3 needs to incorporate some more aspects of the previous pvz games before it if it wants to be a proper triquel The pacing in which you unlock plants and discover new zombies is much better now for first few levels, but slows down later on, I honestly feel one plant every three levels could work, or maybe 4 if the levels have enough gimmicks to be interesting, wave pacing could be like pvz2, as I feel it made pvz2 so much more challenging, although pvz3 uses one sun meta (correlates over to 25 sun I suppose), and I hope balancing is like pvz1 and the earlier worlds of pvz2, because they did balancing right, where you couldn’t cheese levels with some of the best plants. Take what I said with a grain of salt as I haven’t really played pvz in a while
Alr so i want to like correct some stuff for you as i was a guy who just keep an eyes on the leak and stuff a lot in this game,anyways the stuff you mention like Beach Area or A Bunch more Zombies,These are Pretty much leftover from the Old Pvz3...the 3D Version or whatever you gonna call that,You can even still see Plant Food and Taco icon from Old Pvz3 Still...for some reason they won't like make a new app or something like that so err...yeah,though here a small mention of upcomming stuff that was actually basically comfirmed,Hiker Zombie,Parasol and Deathlift Zombie(this guy are from Old Pvz3),For the Area there going to be the Sewer Lawn at some point probably,there some file related to that lawn
Oh yeah also, I’m still playing gw2 just so I can actually play a good PvZ game (PvZ 2 doesn’t really count in my eyes because basically it’s like “oh, you completed a level, ad time!” and it can be pay to win.
Pros and cons list. Cons: boring, kind of just a rehash branded as a third game. Pros: entire peashooter line is absolutely adorable. I think the pros heavily outweigh the cons.
The fact that millions were spent on this game suggests it's just a massive hole in the ground. Potentially even more than BFN. I seriously doubt popcap will even survive till June of 2026
The amount of plants in your arsenal is honestly insulting, like... Jesus man, almost all of these are old plants that function exactly the same I wish the team spent more time polishing the gameplay and adding, you know, STRATEGY, than focusing on the story like the seem to be doing
My problem isn't the levels being short it does but me a tiny bit but my next biggest gripe after choosing you're seeds is that there needs to be more plants and varieties of zombies because it takes forever after you get you're first 5-10 plants somewhere around there it takes forever to get another one and the levels get boring especially when there is reapets it takes like after you get a plant later on it takes like 60+ levels to get another one. It took forever to get tangle kelp after snow pea but this is my opinion just saying.
Eventually it’ll become an overwatch2 kind of loop where we just return back to the previous game but in a shinier coating. And probably add plant restrictions to levels to still give difficulty to the levels.
I think the pick you plant thing is a smoke screen Because most of the time they still pre give you plants and there’s lots of locked and loaded sections So I think this was just made so we would shut up
The more that I played, the more I had noticed the “locked and loaded” level gimmick pop up. So yeah, they most likely added the feature because people wouldn’t stop talking about it, which I don’t think is a bad thing. At least there’s more freedom now than ever before
They really ought to either just extend pvz 2's story since it's literal time travel, or just add more to GW. Maybe just do GW 3 because of the assault on our lives that was BFN. The game can't be made any better. JUST make it's story. Heroes needs life again

Snow pea does less damage then regular peashooter, but Because the levels in pvz3 send zombies based on time, and not kills, slowing them down and doing less damage is just useless
Gonna go back to neighborhood ville switch edition........pvz lost any relevance and enjoyment, imo once it decided to hit sequel land.......... Right now I'm getting my own head canon about Remnant and PVZ garden warfare/ neighborhood ville........
That this was the biggest W Popcap had on the last 4 years for something that should had be there since the beggining to begin with really tells a lot about the state of the franchise... A W is a W though.
It's a huge green flag that they're even going through this many betas. I really hope they can keep working on it and make it fun because I genuinely love the art style.
Its progress, and that makes me a bit hopeful. I really hope EA And Popcap can turn it around, as i'd much prefer to see it make a surprise comeback then crash and burn.
This game is unplayable for me because of the constant wifi connection needed to play. If it wasn’t for that I would forgive this game and even pay a price for it.
I agree and say that this is a *big* improvement over last time. Now don't get me wrong, it's still pretty bad - especially concerning the stolen Gardenscapes elements - but as a whole it turns PvZ3 into a somewhat more tolerable experience. I'm still waiting for PopCap to finally bring back the lawnmowers. Seriously, PopCap, just do what PVZ3 New Start did and turn Mo into a power-up while bringing back the mowers already!!

Pvz 3(2020 version) it could be a good game If some things change, the community would be calm, since let's be honest, its first beta had potential both in gameplay and in lore, its lore before is that Zomboss kidnaps all the sunflowers and then takes over the suburbs, giving rise to the fact that we only have 1 sunflower throughout the game, but in the current beta it is only about zombies taking over the suburbs with zombies that are dumber than the previous ones, although they bring the characters from the comics, this takes away many things from their other versions such as the cost of suns, choose our plants and nerfing the lawnmower so that we only have 1. Pvz 3 has good potential but although pop cap and ea are responsible for the franchise, we the community are also to blame since that was the reason why they closed the first beta. PD: this is just my opinion so there will be people who disagree with this comment
I feel that this game now is just OK. It now feels relatively enjoyable with the addition of Choose Your Seeds, and the first batch of levels being reworked. I just wish PopCap could've given us this version in the first place. 7/10
Nah the levels are still a problem because their all copy paste but it needed something that wont make people bored of the game like make the round feel much longer instead shorter and mini games if people get bored at playing the same round

I lowkey like this game... After level 70 It has some cool mechanics and level designs that I enjoy (unfortunately the plant obtainment pacing is so horrid you dont get a new plant after LILY PAD for like 50 levels and its tangle kelp)
I don’t ever see myself playing this game because it looks like it has soo little content. Pvz 2 added soo much like the plant food and unique world mechanics it felt like an actual sequel, pvz3 just feels like it missing soo much like they took plants from the previous 2 games brought them back only adding like 5 new plants, no new mechanics as interesting as plant food and said ok that’s all enjoy
still needs a lot of changes and remove like make the game more strategic and longer make power ups and boosters only be used in endless for grinding skins mini games bosses replace instant plant power ups with hero plants bring back pf and taco remove the garden scapes stuff replace with something original like a map of zomburbia traveling into different places and it also changes the map depends where you go city is the rooftops, coast guard is the beach, zomburbia is the front lawn

Hell nah, although the QoL they have done in the last update are "interesting" the game is still horrible.
I completely get the viewpoint, but for a lot of what this game has done, I don’t really see any majorly bad parts besides the MTX they’re HEAVILY pushing and the lives mechanic. That stuff sucks, but it’s also a part of modern mobile gaming; we could very well see it added to PVZ2 in the future
It's super cool to see this game start to turn around, always so nice when developers actually start to listen to feedback !! I know it's probably not going to be as hype as either of the original games, but it's a breath of fresh air to hear it's getting better
Hope they improve it to make the game really good and redeem itself

I would like to see plant upgrades come back in some form, either like how pvz 1 did it, or like how pvz3 had pauses in between waves to upgrade plants before the next one

At this point, I don’t think that stuff will ever truly go away. Being completely serious when I say this; modern mobile gaming isn’t going to change unless either the consumers stop buying into it, or countries start cracking down on the business tactics of the games. Otherwise? Very much doubt we’ll see the game have fairly reasonable features, like infinite lives

Have the main campaign have pick your seed, and there was be a smaller side mode with set-seed with levels specifically build around the set seed selection, best of both worlds.

I think PVZ3 has finally surpassed BFN in quality.
BFN was at least a pretty good game in its own, it only looks bad in comparison to GW2, which is a bit unfortunate since it was supposed to be a another spin off in the same genre and not a sequel, but the comparisons also make sense. Pvz 3 is only now just getting tolerable to play.
The choose your seeds just reveals how few the plants in this game are.
The plot seems to suggest all the worlds are a dream, but I really wanna see the surreal/trippy atmosphere of dreams milked for all its worth. Right now, while the game is crawling in the right direction, it still feels nothingburger

Nah all the criticism people have is valid, I’m glad people are willing to speak out about what the game really needs and I’m hoping that the feedback for this update continues coming in (with respect, of course)

Truly really happy with the new latest pvz3 update, truly a good start and step in the right direction
For me, I feel pvz3 needs to incorporate some more aspects of the previous pvz games before it if it wants to be a proper triquel
The pacing in which you unlock plants and discover new zombies is much better now for first few levels, but slows down later on, I honestly feel one plant every three levels could work, or maybe 4 if the levels have enough gimmicks to be interesting, wave pacing could be like pvz2, as I feel it made pvz2 so much more challenging, although pvz3 uses one sun meta (correlates over to 25 sun I suppose), and I hope balancing is like pvz1 and the earlier worlds of pvz2, because they did balancing right, where you couldn’t cheese levels with some of the best plants. Take what I said with a grain of salt as I haven’t really played pvz in a while
Now, the thing that i want the most is the proper world system in Pvz 3

I feel like that one beta( believe it was a beta) with docs and wallnut as a character was still the best one. It even had bowling zombies
My problem isn't the levels being short it does but me a tiny bit but my next biggest gripe after choosing you're seeds is that there needs to be more plants and varieties of zombies because it takes forever after you get you're first 5-10 plants somewhere around there it takes forever to get another one and the levels get boring especially when there is reapets it takes like after you get a plant later on it takes like 60+ levels to get another one. It took forever to get tangle kelp after snow pea but this is my opinion just saying.

The more that I played, the more I had noticed the “locked and loaded” level gimmick pop up. So yeah, they most likely added the feature because people wouldn’t stop talking about it, which I don’t think is a bad thing. At least there’s more freedom now than ever before

Snow pea does less damage then regular peashooter, but Because the levels in pvz3 send zombies based on time, and not kills, slowing them down and doing less damage is just useless

That this was the biggest W Popcap had on the last 4 years for something that should had be there since the beggining to begin with really tells a lot about the state of the franchise... A W is a W though.
It's a huge green flag that they're even going through this many betas. I really hope they can keep working on it and make it fun because I genuinely love the art style.
Its progress, and that makes me a bit hopeful. I really hope EA And Popcap can turn it around, as i'd much prefer to see it make a surprise comeback then crash and burn.
This game is unplayable for me because of the constant wifi connection needed to play. If it wasn’t for that I would forgive this game and even pay a price for it.

I agree and say that this is a *big* improvement over last time. Now don't get me wrong, it's still pretty bad - especially concerning the stolen Gardenscapes elements - but as a whole it turns PvZ3 into a somewhat more tolerable experience.
I'm still waiting for PopCap to finally bring back the lawnmowers. Seriously, PopCap, just do what PVZ3 New Start did and turn Mo into a power-up while bringing back the mowers already!!

Pvz 3(2020 version) it could be a good game
If some things change, the community would be calm, since let's be honest, its first beta had potential both in gameplay and in lore, its lore before is that Zomboss kidnaps all the sunflowers and then takes over the suburbs, giving rise to the fact that we only have 1 sunflower throughout the game, but in the current beta it is only about zombies taking over the suburbs with zombies that are dumber than the previous ones, although they bring the characters from the comics, this takes away many things from their other versions such as the cost of suns, choose our plants and nerfing the lawnmower so that we only have 1. Pvz 3 has good potential but although pop cap and ea are responsible for the franchise, we the community are also to blame since that was the reason why they closed the first beta.

I feel that this game now is just OK. It now feels relatively enjoyable with the addition of Choose Your Seeds, and the first batch of levels being reworked. I just wish PopCap could've given us this version in the first place. 7/10
Nah the levels are still a problem because their all copy paste but it needed something that wont make people bored of the game like make the round feel much longer instead shorter and mini games if people get bored at playing the same round

Pvz 2 added soo much like the plant food and unique world mechanics it felt like an actual sequel, pvz3 just feels like it missing soo much like they took plants from the previous 2 games brought them back only adding like 5 new plants, no new mechanics as interesting as plant food and said ok that’s all enjoy

still needs a lot of changes and remove like make the game more strategic and longer make power ups and boosters only be used in endless for grinding skins mini games bosses replace instant plant power ups with hero plants bring back pf and taco remove the garden scapes stuff replace with something original like a map of zomburbia traveling into different places and it also changes the map depends where you go city is the rooftops, coast guard is the beach, zomburbia is the front lawn
