I really wish they would reprint this handy little workbook. Keep it under a few hundred dollars. It’s only 80+ pages, correct?
Did he teach at the same school you attended Andrew? Were you a student of
    Dr. Roberts?

I agree with Andrew formation and theory study is very important if you plan to be serious as a guitar player,I'm a guitar singer and often try to learn a bit of music theory from UA-cam vídeos, although is hard to understand sometimes being Portuguese, but if I had started learning guitar in a proper school with everything include, probably I would be a professional musician

Hello I have a friend who plays acoustic guitar but wants to bring her skills up to a new level with scale and arpeggios understanding, music theory with understanding of progression , the music theory but related to acoustic guitar instead of a piano. What book do you recommend ?

David Walleman is weird. He's uneducated, doesn't play gigs, or teach any students (privately or on Skype). And, his message in all of his videos is so generic, like he found his topics from an old issue of Guitar Player magazine, then made up super "click-baity" titles so he'll get hits. Sorry, but I cannot take that guy at all seriously.

    • @jippie11261

Wallerman is another one like "Music is Win" ...just all click-bait crap on UA-cam total BS. They bore me to DEATH.

The book is out of print, but it can easily be downloaded (for free) off of several different file hosting sites online, just Google; "howard roberts super chops PDF." You'll find it.

David Walleman is REALLY odd. Honestly, I cannot take that guy seriously. I watched one of his videos where he said he doesn't play gigs, he doesn't teach private students, and he won't interact with anyone over Skype either. WTF? First of all how does the guy make an income? Secondly, sorry but if you don't play gigs, you're not in the game Dude.

    • @jindyhorses6970

You seem to be repeating yourself...but to address your points.
David went to a music college in France and IIRC spent years gigging there before migrating.
He first caught my attention playing for Glass Hammer; check out the Live at Belmont DVDs if you're interested. He was asked to audition for Neil Morse a couple of years ago but missed out on that gig to Eric Gillette which is nothing to be ashamed of in my book.
Many of my favourite guitar educators don't have regular playing gigs though most of them did at some point in the past.
I spent countless hours (across many years) interacting with him as a student over video messaging at JamPlay. He put in so much time there doing that that I really wouldn't blame him for never wanting to start up Skype again.
Why do you care how he makes money? He runs Guitar Playback among other things.
I don't really follow his channel that closely but I'd agree his video titles have become rather click-baity lately but so have Andrew's and others. I just assumed that with the recent UA-cam monetization problems they've been forced down that path. Everyone also seems to have been forced to make more regular uploads. I've even seen this video content from Andrew before. :)
You may not like his UA-cam content but to write him off as some hack is grossly unfair.
