Cute
Cute shirt and thanks. I learned some new tricks, and I have been sewing since I was 5 years old. I am now almost 75.
You give me hope that someday my sewing skills might be used for something other than mending and easy quilting. 😂 Thanks for the beautiful work, as always.
I’ve been watching you for years. I love seeing how much you’ve come out of your shell and how confident with your channel you have become.
I love watching you and I love your channel. 😊
This turned out amazing! And, yes, these types of videos are super helpful!
Brilliant. Looks really stylish. Well done for using all those pieces to save them being wasted and showing us how easy and effective it can be.
Also thanks for the tip to finish the seam between the striped dark fabric and the white - it was a new technique for me and I’m going to put that into practice some day soon. Bless you ❤
Thank you! I am so glad it was useful! I must say - I don't often use mock French Seam, but it does come in handy at times. I am so glad it gave you something new to try :)
I have watched your video several times. I learn more each time.
Kudos to your husband for filming outdoors...lovely location...beautiful shirt.
Thank you very much and thank you for your kind comments!
Lovely garment. Great job!
Love your fabric scrap videos 😊
Alisa you cease to amaze me! 😳that shirt came out awesome 👏
I love the collar 😊👈🏼and the white cuffs on a short sleeve shirt.
Super cute make. 👍👍
You are so kind and than YOU for watching :)
In Tennessee we can wear linen year around. We have all four seasons in one day in the “winter” months so layering is a must. Anyone who lives in the southern states understands.
Really cute top! Looks fabulous on you!!
I love your fabric scrap projects! The blouse came out lovely 💐
The shirt truly looks super cool ! ❤
What a masterpiece - so beautifully done ❣
Oh wow!!!! The shirt is gorgeous!!!!! I love it and you look gorgeous in it.
Looks great and the using different fabrics is what made it so good. Love to see how people deal with different parts of sewing as often gives me ideas that I can get my own from. Thank you x
Very nice! Your tips on seams and topstitching is helpful!
Your shirt is beautiful. I love it. Thank you for sharing. You do a beautiful job of putting different colors together. God bless.
So great! I love the tips. Beautiful shirt❤
Absolutely beautiful!
I like the length of the sleeve. Great job 👍
Thank you, Ratchel! I am still kind of here and there on it, perhaps I am just not used to that length :)
Lovely. Fabric Scraps are daunting and I get tired of scrap quilts.
I am in the process of making one and.... It takes a while. Do you like just to quilt as you go or do you like to do color ways?
More of this kind of tutorial pls. Love from the philippines

You are an amazing young woman. I love watching your videos, they inspire me in my sewing and bring such joy. I love your genuineness in your comments and your ‘nervous’ laughter.
Bless you
I’ve never heard of a mock French seam before. It makes sense! (I turn 60 this week and have been addicted to sewing all my life!)
We live and we learn, right? :) Every day I learn somehting new, too. I am glad this was something new and interesting for you :)
Tips and tricks of the trade are often what makes all the difference in a garment looking more professional. Same with cooking. Tips used to be handed down from mother to daughter, but today's lifestyle doesn't always allow for that anymore, so videos like this one are truly appreciated. Love your channel!
Beautiful end product, I love that design. ❤️
I love your channel. I especially love when you make clothes from scraps.. Most people make quilts and I am not a quilter, I have gotten some really good ideas for my own fabric scraps. Thanks ,
Anna
Really impressive! Looks fabulous!
I also appreciated the tips on how to finish the seams.
I’m finding your scrap-busting videos really inspirational as we all have a constantly growing heap of fabric scraps, and I like the idea they can actually be made into clothes.
Thanks! ☺️
Oh I really do love the tips you give, it's often things I have never thought of so it's very helpful!! You have a brilliant mind for these ideas!
Yay! Makes me happy to know that it is helpful! Sometimes I wonder if information like this is even interesting to people, so it is great to know that it is :)
I love to see what you come up with. The shirt is so fun. You have so much talent. Thank you for sharing❤
Thanks for your videos your a god sent
Charlotte, thank YOU and here's the Members Extra with a deep dive for this shirt - ua-cam.com/video/Wa0Qw9ylUxI/v-deo.html
I love the mock French seams… very clever 🎉
You are an amazing lady Alisa, I love the shirt and all the helpful tips you give!
Love your videos. Linen is beautiful fresh and clean. Thank you!
Lovely! I adore your videos! Thank you!
Aww, thank you! :)
Love your videos.
I love your scrappy makes, they give me great ideas to use up as much fabric as possible. Your shirt is really lovely and the sleeve length is quite dressy and a shorter length would make them more sporty casual, depending on the look you are wanting. Hi from Queensland, Australia.
Ah, thank you, Trudy! I often end up loving my scrappy makes even more, just because being scrappy makes them more special, I guess :) thank you for watching and tuning in
wow - the shirt is amazing! And thank you for sharing all the tips!
You Are Exactly Who I want to become!! That was soooo amazing! Yes, please share your thought process because I love to know why something is done not just how. There are a thousand different ways to construct a garment. I really want that shirt! I love how you are so calm and you enjoy the process, not just the end result.
Hello Alisa 😊. This shirt has such a high couture look. It truly is a beautiful well made perfect fitting garment. I think the seam finishes are what make all the difference and that beautiful topstitching you did. That has to feel so satisfying to make some thing you’re going to get a ton of wear out of from a pile of scraps. Have a great weekend.
Thank you so so much, Christine! I love when seams are neat, and maybe no one else will see it, but I know :) you know that feeling! Yes, I already wore this shirt - I am still here and there about the sleeve length, but I will figure that out :)
I totally agree 👍
Oooh fabulous.
Super love. Who would’ve thought this was made out of fabric scraps? Very stylish and nice design. Thank you for your ideas, you’ve been my inspiration in sewing. 🎉❤😃
Great, the Shirt is great. Thank you for sharing. 😊😊😊😊
I love the shirt!!
You are fantastic! I really hope that you continue making these videos. 😍
What beautiful work. I've learned to sew almost 50 yrs ago and it makes me happy to know I can still learn more.
Thank you ❤
So cute!!! I ❤ it!
Great use of fabric scraps, Alisa! The blouse suits you well! Regards from Germany Stephanie
Stephanie, hello hello there! Thank you so much, I am so happy too + I used up my linen scraps, but of course, I still have plenty left-over :) Thank you for your greetings!
Creativity at its best. Thank you
Cute shirt. You do such beautiful work. Thanks for sharing!
I’ve never thought about treating my seams the way you did so that you can’t see the stripes through it. So simple and so smart!
Very creative, plus I learn from you in a fun & easy way! Thanks for sharing! 🤗💜🇨🇦
Absolutely smashed it! 🥳well done, on another beautiful shirt. I find these tutorials so creative and inspiring! Thank you 😊
You are a genius my friend specially when you took time to match all your stripes and make everything invisible. You did a great job and love the length of the sleeves
Wow, that's really cute! Loved watching your making process
I like the finished shirt, but liked seeing your process even more. Amazing that you were able to piece that many scraps together to make the back yoke.
The shirt is very nice, I think the sleeves look perfect.
Absolutely amazing job with everything your hands touch 🥳🤩🥰
I absolutely love how confident you make me feel. I’ve sewn a blouse(so easy but made me so proud)and can’t wait to try more. This top is a winner! You incorporated those stripes sooo nicely!!
Yes, the information you share in this viedo is very much appreciated! Love the pattern of this shirt! ❤
I love ur thought processes. U r brilliant & creative!

Great job! The blouse came out so pretty.
Love the shirt and how you used the scraps. Very nice.
👍🥰 Beautiful!
Wow! The blouse is gorgeous!
I love this shirt! What a great way to use up leftover fabric! And yes, I find tips like the one you gave us about the seams to be really helpful. Thanks for another great video!
Michelle, thank you so much for being here and for coming along with me on this scrap fabric adventure :)
Wow, very impressive. Absolutely loved how you put this together and the stylish outcome!
That turned out beautiful!
Oh thanks Alisa. If you can remember, this year's my goal is to maximize the use of fabric scraps. So the videos are perfect for me. Thank you for sharing little tips.
Yes, I do! I am so happy it aligns with you as well :)
Just love love love it. Thank you.
You're a genius! And, I've been looking for a pattern I can use for a linen shirt that isn't a big, boxy pattern. This is more like what I'm looking for!
You are so creative 🙂
thank you!
Love it 👍😎🐕🦺!!!
Thank you!
I love hearing about how you use the fabric to your advantage, how you tackle the difficulties of dealing with the transparency of the linen and the stripes, it is really helfpul for when i face similar problems in my projects.
8:14 Absolutely your tips are thoughtful and helpful. Thanks for going to the effort of sharing your thought process 😊
Love what you made! So creative!!
this is a beautiful shirt and it is a testamont to your brilliant sewing thanks for sharing all your tips etc you are truly brilliant thanks debbie not david xxxxxx
Hello there Debbie and thank you! I really like it as well, and so comfy and roomy for our stuffy summers :)
I love the way the stripes show through the neck where unbuttoned against the white collar. So interesting! I get a little lost sometimes when you are describing your techniques, but then, I remember when I first watched your early drafting videos, and I was completely lost. But intrigued. I watched some over and over and then started to try it out. Slowly, it started to make sense. So, I figure as I keep learning, the new concepts will make sense, too. I love seeing the potential for new levels of learning. You truly are an amazing teacher.
Truly finish makes the difference.
I love your videos showing how to make clothes from scraps. Please keep them coming.
Beautiful result! Awesome job of pattern matching and using the fabric qualities to your advantage.
You continually amaze me at your creativity and skill. I love how you did the faux French seam and will definitely use that technique in the future.
I was thinking wow! I’m learning so much and then you said let me know if this is helpful ☺. Thank you! I love that shirt!
Marvelous! 💙🤍💙
Very nice. Love your creativity. Now, on to the video link you posted; I am very impressed with the design you are wearing right now.
Ah, thank you! I love this green/white t-shirt! I wear it all the time :)
Very helpful video! 1) when you walked out in the muslin without your usual cheerful facial expressions, I almost thought it was someone else. 😆 2) as a newbie sewist, I feel like these tips/techniques would be something one learned from their mentor. Please keep them coming!
He he :) have you seen my face when I sew? I almost always look like I am super angry, lol :) I am not, it is my "I am sewing" face, lol :) :D I am glad you found it useful (p.s - I have detailed tutorials on different seams and hem and necklines on the channel, where I go step by step on how to make them, you might find it useful)
@@ThoughtfulCreativity Pretty sure that’s how I found you, searching for a sewing technique. Been thankful ever since! I guess I’m more focused on what/how you’re sewing to notice your sewing face. Haha.
@@ConkreteMan ha ha lol, that's good :) I am wishing you happy and creative sewing (and lots of it)
I like it alot but my nerves would never last hoping that the material is going to be enough. Great job❤
Hello. You are very talented and very creative. Thank you
Your blouse turned out beautiful. In the video, I could not tell that the yoke was pieced together. Patchwork shirts, blouses, pants, bags, and jackets are very expensive; and, they never seem to go out of style. Try crazy patchwork piecing using your smaller scraps (in all different shapes, prints, colors, and patterns) to make your own yardage for one of a kind projects. I do it because it is fun, uses up a lot of scraps, and is relaxing to me.
It turned out so great. I cut apart many of my jeans I can't wear any more due to fabric thinning in places. I sewed and serged into blocks. Made pieces big enough to cut out pieces to create a pull over . The front pocket I added a vintage floral transfer, used up second hand bought embroidery threads and completed a wow recycled denim pull over. I have had people make nice comments on it when I wear it too. Keep inspiring.
Love the passion and care forma the details you show! 🥰
Thank you for the inspiration and very useful tips.
Thank you!
Love the shirt. Good idea.
Yes! Thank you for doing and explaining the mock French seam. Love the finished top
Gorgeous shirt. I really loved the muslinas well, would love to see a pattern . Love your videos.
