Sveiciens no Latvijas!

I'm almost 70, born in Cyprus but moved to New Zealand when young. I've been sewing for half a century and am learning heaps so thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
For what it's worth you have a lovely voice and your accent is fine. Please ignore the negative comments. Some people just can't help themselves.
PS. Button holes are easy with sewing machines that create them automatically.

Keep talking. We like it! Great videos! I like the additional, helpful information. Nothing wrong with your voice. You don't sound weird. You sound unique. People's insecurities make them critical of others. When you are walking your true, God-given walk, it is the opposition's job to try to tear you down.

    Hi Alisa:
You are so adorable, bubbly, and talented to boot! I just love your voice. Never thought twice about it being squeaky or high-pitched. From what I can see, your family is beautiful. Thank you for sharing and inspiring with your extremely generous videos. You are a fabulous teacher. I started junk journaling about two years ago, but do manage to get my sewing in. So glad you’ll continue doing videos. Love from So. California. 💜😎🇺🇸

Hi, I live in the southwest of England. Interesting to learn more about you. You have achieved so much at only 30. I can't believe how rude people can be about your voice. I follow a UK utuber, Kate from the Foldline and she posted a video a couple of months ago where she responded to similar comments about her voice and delivery. By the way we all know Dolly in the UK 🙂

You are such a beautiful person, your voice included. Your kindness and passion for teaching come across in every video. Anyone who has negative things to say about you, is really only conveying a deficiency in themselves. It makes me sad that so many helpful people on UA-cam have to deal with such meanness. All we can do is pray for them and move along. Your daughter is such a sweet pea. Thank you for sharing your story with us ❤

I am very voice tone sensitive(squeaky voices grate on my ears) and I’ve never thought your voice was annoying. As others have said, it’s a softer, lovely tone. As you shared what your little voice box went through as a child I can see how grateful you are to have your voice!! And as you were sharing here how much you love sewing and how much joy it brings you to share with others I know this touched you WAY down deep into your heart, so much so you wanted to cry!! Such kindness from your heart shines through 💖 And the WORK it takes for you to present each and every video - WOW!! You have such commitment to your craft, thank you for sharing it with us ❤❤❤

Sometimes, people suck, and when you make a space that they can congregate, what they have to say is magnified. I'm so glad you haven't let such negativity keep you from using your voice to share your passion, and to help teach those of us looking for help and inspiration. The world is full of different voices, so a voice can't be right or wrong, they just are. Thank you for pushing that stuff aside and moving forward. There are hundreds of thousands of us that really appreciate what you've given to us.
Also, I hope you like Tennessee! My father is from a very small town in TN, and while I grew up elsewhere, it holds a special place in my heart.

I'm shocked (& a bit disgusted tbh) that people would comment on things like your voice! It's obvious to me you have an accent, one that I couldn't quite pick (I'm a Kiwi/New Zealand, I would NEVER have picked Russian!!) but I can't believe people can be so rude as to comment negatively on it. I love your channel & you seem lovely & sweet to me. To anyone who thinks it's ok to post negative comments about ANYONE - get a life! Instead of bringing people down look for something good or kind in people - it's not hard to find something good. Just bcoz someone puts themselves out there or online it doesn't give you the right to be rude or cruel. SMH

This was an interesting video, Alisa! Sorry to hear that you have gotten negative comments about your voice at times, and I am so glad you were able to recover use of your voice after the childhood illness and surgery! I have only recently discovered you- I watched the video on quick stocking stuffers- and appreciate your belief that everyone can sew and that you're teaching people how. I have been sewing since I was a small child, and that was a very long time ago!
