"It's a little much for me." My brother, as Christians we tend to put a sugar-coat on things that are difficult. This song was meant for the world. Sometimes the world doesn't listen to the sugar-coat and you have to hit them in the teeth with brutal, un-filtered reality. A symptom of a fallen world, but a world we live in nonetheless.
I ain't Chirstian in anyway. Found this cuz I like the band. It's dope seeing you react to it and give it a chance to be heard on your channel. Hardcore Music has always fought for those who can't fight for themselves. We pride ourselves in bullying the bullies. We're the unfortunate necessary needed in this f*cked up world. Hardcore saved my life.
Wow, thank you to whoever recommended this. I hope this starts a trend for reacting to more of their songs. Ghost Pains Pt. 3 is one of the most emotional songs they've made. I relate to that song so much and I hope you react to it someday.
Kublai Khan always hits hard with the lyrics. Another good one to check out is Dynasty. That song is written about the opioid epidemic that has torn across the country, and for someone living in a Midwest town, it’s way too relatable. Good video!
Awesome that you gave your input on the song. The band is known for having deep messages with intense vocals. Here are a few songs i recommend: "The Hammer" is about having social anxiety. "Belligerent" is about depression and self hatred. "Boomslang" is about being bullied
@@lightningmonky7674 partially. One of depression's symptoms is hatred towards others, however most of the lyrics tend to be about self-hatred and depression's main symptoms which are irritability and sadness: "i lose little sleep its sad but true Drowning in unhappiness its nothing new Anger now comes easily and frequently Replacing who i used to be with someone weak"
Poor Tom lmao thank you so much for doing this song and for everything else that you do!!! I know this band is heavier than you'd prefer, but their songs have messages that I just can't pass up!
This song needs more recognition . It sheds light on female/infant rape and homicide , something we all know happens but rarely talk about . My mother was a victim of the sex trade early in her life and it had a profound affect on my brothers and I because she did it alone and in silence . You're Our Mothers You're Our Sisters And A Daughter Tonight . The Holy Feminine.
give kublai khans “true fear” a whirl. super strong message about law enforcement abusing their power , which if you ask me is a huuuuge problem these days. it’d be cool to hear your input on that one.
Love these guys!!!!! If you get a chance, “truest love” is an absolute masterpiece about men who walk out on their children. Really hit home for me. Keep it up
I love Kublai Khan because I can just push through my emotions in the gym. Even though I pray a lot, there are parts of the day where I listen to metalcore/hardcore to just release some anger etc.
I would recommend doing a video on two more of their songs: Theory of Mind, which is about the burden of being the patriarch of the family and the last of your bloodline and knowing it all dies with you. The other is Dynasty which is about the plight of overdose, incarceration and suicide that is a growing issue in my generation. High Hopes is another good one about how the world overlooks drug addicts.
You definitely hopped in the deep end of the pool with Kublai Khan, but they are an amazing hardcore band. I hope you enjoyed the lyrical content though, and aggression, I'd love to hear more metal reactions from you :)
Yeah it's definitely heavy as hell for a non metal fan but I deeply respect the guy for actually taking it seriously and hearing the message, a lot of folks wouldn't give songs like these the chance. Also I love the profile picture, that angelmaker album is awesome
This song goes so fucking hard. It's the true essence of heavy metal. The blues roots talking about the pain of the world with the metal anger expressing hate for what shouldn't exist. It's a rallying cry to the abused so that they know people hear them and know that there is hope and even in the worst situations there are ways forward. It's not fair to say just try your hardest but it's all we can do most of the time. The world hears you, we try to help where we can and never enough, but some things can only be solved by you as cruel as fate would have it. This song is a place of power to draw strength to change your life, it's my all time favorite song
Metal in particular still has a stigma to it, because it's so misunderstood, particularly by the Christian community who freaked out over it, calling anyone who listened to it Satan worshipers. The truth is that hardcore metal has always tackled these kinds of subjects and given a voice to those who didn't have one. That's why it's so in your face and aggressive. It embodies what I saw on a T-shirt lately - "If you're not angry, you're not paying attention". If more people would be open minded instead of knee-jerk negative reaction, then maybe these messages might have an even bigger amplification. But then, that would require small minded people to get out of their comfort zones for once in their lives.
I'm an anti-theist, not even close to be close to believe in ''god''. But I really like this band, so here I am for the reaction. Wish you the best bro! 🤘
What?! Kublai Khan?? Hahaha never thought I'd see hardcore here. I come to you to eat up your Kendrick material and did not expect this! Not a huge KK fan but if you ever consider other hardcore, i think you'd really find allot of political and self reflection material to pick apart in Incendiary's disco. Anything off of "Cost of living" or even better "thousand mile stare"

This man gets it.
Ya that was a soft ass way to look at something that needs a hard look, can’t sugarcoat evil. I completely agree with this.
Tend to is an understatement.
The spoken word passage at the end of this track makes the whole thing so much more powerful sad to see it wasn't in this video

I won't go as far as to say it saved my life, but it definitely changed my life and taught me so much, also helped cleanse me of so many bad beliefs

My advice is do the right thing, don’t worry about any reward, in heaven or on earth, you do good things because it’s needed, not for some reward.
