Of course she cannot make you test but she can make damn sure that you feel the repercussions that arise from not testing .
The judge could also have ordered a blood test had she wanted to….that’s how some law enforcement agencies deal with DUIs if suspects refuse to use a breathalyzer. The woman also may have refused to give urinemin court, but may have complied once she was in the test area.
As she kept digging that hole, the lawyer was backing up. 😂

😂 Everything I've seen has shown me that officers won't even touch potential drugs without wearing latex gloves. The idea that an officer just licked potential meth and would even know how to identify it by taste is so hilariously stupid to me.

I love this judge. I thought that the woman in the first case deserved jail for refusing to test. Her attorney was totally useless.
The atty. did nothing; he didn’t even tell her to keep silent.
I think when her attorney saw the client was going off, just step back and let her be responsible. She kept talking--never once checking with him for anything. I would also suggest that her performance was a direct result of dope fiend thinking. She may be on suboxene, but there is a lot more to recovery than just taking some meds.

I have seen in other videos from Judge D, and she doesn’t seem to like when the Attny’s step in when the defendant is speaking their mind and giving their views of the case. She has always seemed fair in my opinion. She is one of the sterner Judges and I really enjoy watching her interact with the public and court while in court. I also think the attorney realized the defendant was going to do her own thing regardless of what he had to say; so he just stood back and let her handle her own business. He knew if he absolutely had to he could and would’ve stepped in.
@@ellendickey4769 They probably communicated prior the court appearance and he know its futile. Some people are too thick to understand and when client go in openly defying court order then its hard to advocate if there is nothing to work with.
On the last one, its pretty telling even when your public defender is like "yeah not much I can say to make him sound good, he's a repeat offender but have mercy"

Why is everyone saying she refused to test and walked out, no she didn't, she had a bond set and was put in jail, they just didn't show her being taken away by this channel. Other channels showed the full case. If she pays the bond she will have to pay a bondsman about 1000 dollars. I doubt she has that.

I love love LOVE Judge DiSanto! She really cares about her… clients(?) and she has different mental health “courts” and she is really conscientious and actually is willing to be patient and work with people who come into her court.
Then there’s just her. She’s really pretty, and I love to watch the faces that she makes when people pull all of the B.S. that they do. She doesn’t even TRY to hide it, nor should she. 😂
She is pretty! I like her voice, too. I think she's a wonderfully balanced judge and I love her "tells" that she is just DONE with a rude client. All should beware if she removes her reading glasses and sighs and then says "OK. Here's what the court is gonna do..." !!!
I love when she shuffles the papers in irritation, and then stamps them extra hard when she is frustrated. 😂 It just makes her so human. She shows a lot of kindness to people though, too, as long as they aren't rude to her. The city she works for is lucky to have her. She's extremely fair and goes above and beyond.

Agree! Judge Boyd is able to handle every case w/o zipping thru like a maniac. She's always thoroughly prepared and knows the cases. No one ever acts up or is disrespectful in front of her. I don't know why DiSanto and some other judges can't do the same. It's maddening how DiSanto is always shuffling thru papers like it's her first day on the job!

If a defendant can't remember which drug charge you are referring to, just lock them away forever. Probation and short jail sentences aren't addressing issues

My guess is that the dude literally can’t stay out of trouble long enough to pay one hired atty back before he gets stuck in jail with no access to his blood money. Make no mistake, a dealer/producer like him won’t stop until he’s locked up or until he blows his next apartment up, killing himself and all the other innocent people his actions have poisoned. Anyone who is ok cooking poison and serving it up to others for profit, literally has NO redeeming value. That’s not addiction talking. In recovery we have a saying. “What do you call a drunk horse thief who gets sober?” The answer: “a horse thief”

Innocent until proven guilty. In the video she is only being _accused_ of a crime. Thus, she still has her 5th amendment rights.
She can choose to waive those rights, be tested for drugs, and avoid going to jail while waiting for trial. Or she can choose to not test and (potentially) stay in jail until her trial date.
Now, if she had already been convicted of a crime and we were talking about *probation*, then yes, she must test if the court demands it.

She's clearly using but I'm not cool with judges ordering drug tests to people that have not been charged yet, that are not on probation and have no drug charges. I went to court once , drugs and alcohol were not a factor and they wanted to order drug tests and I refused, not because I was dirty, it's because I'm not subjected to search and seizure, and I'm not on probation so I declined and they tried to push it because of a precious history when I was in my early 20s. I refused and they ended up not ordering it. Sometimes the courts abuse there power and that will never happen to me if I can help it.
That first girl had no good arguments against it, so she had no choice.
@Jessica86871 if you're on probation or parole, the court has every right to order testing, even in non drug related cases. They can also force the issue while on bond if they choose. Not saying it's fair, but that's the cost of getting wrapped up in the court system.
