I took NJROTC in high school. It taught me a valuable lesson. Stay the hell away from the Navy if you can get into college. Which of these two things, be a sailor, or be an engineer? I chose engineering. Thanks NJROTC.

@@AbdirahmanBasher-m4hyou have to remember that this was initially a peacekeeping mission. The fact that they wanted to kidnap the warlord was sheer folly, it was Insanity and anybody could see that that would be a mission impossible.
Malaysian forces lost 1 man (Pvt Mat Aznan Awang), 9 injured and 4 vehicles destroyed. All 4 vehicles were immobilised and were destroyed by US Little Birds to prevent them falling into the hands of militia. Pvt Mat Aznan Awang would later be awarded SP, or Seri Pahlawan Gagah Perkasa, which is the highest gallantry award in Malaysia. He was also promoted to the rank of Corporal pothumously. His remains were brought back to his village in Kampung Parit Panjang, Baling, Kedah and was buried in full military honours. Pvt Rizal survived his ordeal. He was awarded the PGB, or Panglima Gagah Berani, which is the second highest gallantry award.

I was a 15T and a 15S (Blackhawk crew chief and Kiowa crew chief) in the Army from 2002-2008. I served in Iraq in 03 and Afghanistan in 06. I was in the unit that was involved in this incident for a time as well. This is hard to watch but I’m hoping that it’s therapeutic to some extent as well. Even though I wasn’t in this fight, it brings me back to some of the most memorable and horrifying moments that I remember from my time in service and even though I didn’t know these men, I feel a kinship with them and I weep for them and their families. Not only the ones that were injured or killed but also the ones who came home. Because what a lot of people fail to understand is that coming home without any major injuries makes you start questioning yourself. Why did some of my friends get hurt or killed and I’m okay? Did I not fight hard enough? Did I not take risks that i should have taken? Some of the men I lost were fathers. I didn’t have children then, so why not me? These questions are not easily addressed or answered and it takes a lot of time to understand that there’s no logic or reason to any of this. But while you’re attempting to learn that, you’re in a lot of pain. Our families are the ones that suffer the most during those times. They put up with us self medicating and being angry and refusing to acknowledge that we aren’t really upset with them and we know that we shouldn’t be treating them poorly but we’re doing it anyway because we don’t know what else to do. Ultimately, those of us that come out the other side of that fight are the ones whose wives and children are strong enough to stand and support us and not give up on us. They’re heroes and casualties in every sense of both of those words. I pray every single day for all of my brothers and sisters who still are trying to wade through this and make sense of it. If you’re reading this, it’s okay. Stop blaming yourself. You did your best and you did well. The fact is that nothing in combat is sensible or rational or logical and there is always going to be misery as a result of it. Don’t allow yourself or your family to fall victim to you trying to make sense of something that can’t be made sense of. Just be grateful that you are here now and that you have tomorrow to start over and then start over. Think of the people you lost but think about the good times. Smile about them and then do something positive in their memory because they cannot. Pray that, moving forward, humanity will find a better way to resolve conflicts than this and that our kids will have it a little better than we did. Take it one day at a time and be willing to admit that some of those days will be bad. Spend those days focusing on yourself and doing your best not to be destructive. Forgive yourself when you are destructive and apologize to anyone that you hurt and then forget about it and start over again. You’re loved and you’re important and you matter. Good luck. I’m rooting for you.
I feel you. Not personally. But I have a friend that lost buddies to friendly fire in Afghanistan. He comes unglued every time he hears a helo. Awesome dude. Just has a few issues. An old friend who was a Vietnam veteran said “if you put a sane man in an insane situation, the only sane reaction he can have is insanity”. Medical weed and mushrooms can help. Hope this was helpful brother.
Thank you for that inspirational quote you said.As a navy veteran although I didn’t lost my brothers from war I lost them 2 of them from suicide when I was in active. Till this day every time Memorial Day comes or Veterans Day the what if if i was there I probably could’ve done something is installed in me. It’s hard for us to deal this with this situation’s because they become a part of your family life. Just like what you said their journey is not over because we our still here to continue that path they had pave. As a brother I will continue their journey. Thanks again brother for your inspirational message.
Malaysian viewed black hawk down movie in dismay, this video proved of our gallant men's involvement, to extracted some us rangers from fatally contact point to safe haven. Thank you Lt Col Michael L Whetstone, for revealing the truth here and alfatiha to Mej Abd Aziz PGB
The book gives good details about the Malaysians. The advisors to the movie included Rangers and pilots who were in the battle; they asked Ridley Scott about leaving out certain pieces of the battle and he responded that he can only show so much in a 140 minute movie.
My first squad leader when i arrived in 4-31 was wounded there. Nice to see the rest of this story told and the 10thMTN get the credit it deserves. Too bad hollywood left this part out.
The 10th Mtn finally gets credit for their role in Mog. I'm glad their story was told for the watchers of this documentary. I knew quite a bit from the book "Black Hawk Down" but this brings to light things about the 10th Mtn's role into a much clearer light for me. Thanks to all involved, both in Mog and the makers of this Doc.
If the SHTF, you can rest assured that the 10th will be involved. Very few Divisions have the combat record that the 10th has earned over the years. If it's gonna get hot, the 10th will be there.@brianparrish8392
Canadian here. Non-military. What a great insight to this crazy situation. It's certainly nice to hear from the actual men who were there, I'm sure it's something they'll never forget. They should all be proud for what they've accomplished and I hope all of them are healthy and well. I look forward to watching other stories from this channel.
These men have me in tears of honor. They're the best guys you would ever know. If you're facing death, hope beyond hope that they're next to you, because it couldn't get any better for you.

Imagine these vets can meet the Malaysian vets who were with them. It's actually surreal for me to hear the accounts of the gunner and commander of the Condor APC that got hit and then hear the accounts of the US soldiers who were in the very vehicle that got hit. The driver who died, Lance Corporal Mat Aznan Awang, then received Malaysia's highest honor and posthumously promoted to rank of Corporal. His daughter is now serving in the same unit he did.
Just promoted to corporal? He should have been promoted at least a Sgt rank. This shows you how full of BS the military is regardless of race or colour.
Thank you for acknowledging Brigadier General (Rtd) Datuk Abdul Latif Ahmad of Malaysia and his boys including the Pakistani UN Peace Keepers without which this mission by the American forces will not have suceeded.
Whenever I hear Tom Brokaw's voice it takes me back to third grade hearing him on the news talking about the invasion of Iraq. His voice and the tune they would play when Tom was about to give a report are permanently etched in my brain. Crazy how 20 some years later I can still remember those times sitting with my back to the tv while eating dinner with my folks not understanding what was going on. Crazy how time flies.
I was there during "Black Hawk Down". I was on the USS Comstock (LSD-45), which was part of the ARG. I went to shore on a LCAC to run supplies ashore. All hell broke loose!
The truth is the mission to capture farahaidid failed and US soldiers were surrounded and got pinned down. No soldiers from UN volunteered to rescue these US soldiers because it is a suicide mission. But, the comando unit from Malaysia volunteered to rescue the stranded US soldiers. These comandoes come in a UN humvee. These comandoes rescued US soldiers. Comandoes from Malaysia fought bravely. Few comandoes from Malaysia died rescuing US soldiers. Hv respect on Comandoes from Malaysia.
I watched that movie 20 times at least over the years. Brutal to watch, I can't imagine how much worse it was to live it. Brave Brave men doing everything they could to help their fellow man, and their brothers in arms. Inspiring. Thank you for your service and your courage.
This is must watch video other than the hit movie Black Hawk Down. So proud of Royal Malay Regiment embedded in Malaysian Battalion on UN Duty in Somalia 1993. These unsung heroes were amongst the braves that saved the top rated Task Force Rangers in US military from Somalia militias 👏
We peacetime service people will never know what Mogadishu was like in October of 93. I will say this; we are truly in awe of those who served in that battle. May the Lord Bless.
Great video. I served in the 10th Mtn from 10/86 to 07/89, and it's great to hear their side of the story. It's always been from the task force Ranger side, and this is good to watch.
Always wondered how do you get into the 10th Mountain? I was only an Airman so not really familiar with it do you have to request to go to mountain warfare school or something?
You not going to hear Somalia soldiers side of the story because it was more than some type of starvation food blockage and God the most high it's not going to bless the USA
Non American here... happened to be in Las Vegas for a conference when this happened 30 years ago, so not a young person. On TV there was a lot of hooha about no UN forces were there willing to help when US needs them. Didn't follow it in detail, but got the news later that the ordeal was completed. Chanced upon Black Hawk Down years after the movie was released (not a film fan, especially of US made war movies). In the movie there was a scene of Pakistani army, so I thought, oh, they did get UN help after all. Intrigued I searched and learned that Malaysia also helped. I could have missed it earlier, but I did not get that impression at all while in the US. Reading the comments here explains it. The only praises for the Malaysians only came from what looked to be Malaysian viewers. The great majority only saw the US as what matters. A few even ridiculed whatever non-US. Non-US souls are seen as meaningless. Yes, US has the better hardware (not a military expert so can't say who, in any, is the best in everything), but in a battle/life you take what you have in the moment. But the sense of hopelessness is that the US is so in itself that it does not recognise even friends. "What? The US needs tiny Malaysia to help to save US soldiers? With inferior armoury?" Instead of, "oh, we do have friends after all. Thank you Malaysia." None of the latter at all in the comments that I have seen. Zero. Sad. Pathetic. And so I do wish US Imperialism to go down and for US to learn to live within its means instead relying on abuse of the petrodollar to maintain its fake exceptionalism. Its show of militarism everywhere to maintain its 'prosperity'. Enough is enough. btw here's a link for another view of this incident on yt... ua-cam.com/video/KacVH0pDgsI/v-deo.html at 7:00 onwards especially.
The bottom line for this entire incident is that it could’ve been avoided but Les Aspin and Bill Clinton denied the ground commander’s request for Bradley Fighting Vehicles and Abrams Tanks in May, 1993 out of sheer political consideration.
Yep. I just commented same shit. This my first time hearing they were denied by Aspen. I always was baffled on why they went into a hornets nest with basic regular vehicles with no armour plating etc. It was like suicide, driving humvees and big flatbeds packed with us troops into a hostile city. They knew it and drove back to ask for armour. And got denied by Les Aspen? Smfh. Why hasn't this been talked about more. He basically killed half of our troops that died with his negligence
Bill Clinton was more interested in young girls to perpetrate his sexual desires on. But not to worry his wife Hillary would be ready to victimise & terrify any whistle-blower young victims to their sick leftists perversions.
This incident was 30 years ago, the age that did not have TiKtok and Snapchat that degenerate our young Americans. The age that we respected and honored our country, flag, and troops. The age that we dedicated ourselves to a sense of honor, to a life of courage, the a commitment to something greater than ourselves. The age we did not any slogan "Make America Great Again" because we were the greatest nation on earth! We owe these service members so much. Thank you and God bless you all.
Really well said and very accurate. When China decides to wake up I fear that we are screwed till the end of time. The young people of today do not have the spine that these brave Soldiers had back in the day.
II have watched Black Hawk Down numerous times. Each time I watch it my blood boils. I got out of the military a few yrs before this happened. These guys are heroes. It's a shame so many of our troops got killed. God bless our troops
19 or 20 americans dead versus about a 1000 Somalians? Yeah,it´s such a damn shame those AMERICANS got killed but thank god, they got to butcher a bunch of them, many actually unarmed and women and children. So atleast there´s that and America has since then learned from their mistake to be so eager to run blind into any conflict not of their concern halfway around the world. Oh wait,....
Well too bad america only care about themselves and not for those not apart from them such as pakistan and malaysia that sacrificed their own people to make the rescue possible.
A mark in history that will never be forgotten. A mark of blood and sweat in a forever evolving world. Hoorah and Hooyah to the Brave Men and Women of the United States Military.
The cowards were butchered and they had to wait for a UN force to get them out. I celebrate Mogadishu 93 as the day Africa stood up to tell the Americans that every day for the killer but one day for the victim's family.
A SSG in one of the platoons in my company, while i was stationed in Hawaii back in 2002, told me he was a Private in the 2-14th Inf 10th Mtn Div as QRF for the Rangers. Black Hawk Down just came out and I asked how did he get his CIB if he hasn't gone to Afghanistan yet, so he told me a little story, but i had no idea it was this bad. Sad to know that Hollywood forgot to do their research to tell the full story, not only what would make a good movie. Also, there was a training op that is dedicated to the two Delta snipers that died trying to save the crew. The Shughart and Gordon Op is a no win scenario that tests leaders and the unit on how to handle themselves when the odds are stacked against you.
I invaded Iraq as an Infantryman with A Co 2-14 as a part of Task Force Viking. Then another Baghdad tour from ‘04 - ‘05. We were often reminded of our 2-14 predecessors in Mogadishu. I thought of these Soldiers often and worked hard to live up to their example. May God bless the veterans involved in this hellish operation.
Thank you for your service gentlemen. Blackhawk Down is the only military movie that I have a hard time watching. It's very hard to watch. I'm not a veteran but I love our military. Thank you so much for your service.
According to the film Black hawk down is not the same as what is painted on the history of our Army which is the Malaysian Army.. And even history has been recorded and acknowledged by high-ranking U.S. officials that the Malaysian Army was assisting the United States military in the mission to rescue the United States Army Rangers who were stranded and captured by the Somalis. Salute to the Malaysian Army..
The movie Blackhawk down was from the viewpoint of one delta and a couple of rangers. Until now they are still finding out that there were others there. Some of the rangers that have been interviewed didn’t even know the 10th Mountain or the Malays were there until years later. Col Lee from 1st detachment delta didn’t even know a navy captain who later became an admiral was there until he came across a photo of said admiral in Somalia.
i watch the movie black hawk down without knowing that my countrymen risk their lives to save american personnels. only now 20 years later through the movie malbatt misi bakara the truth is told. i can only say that i am damn proud to be a malaysian!
I was in the 10th Mountain Division from 2001 - 2004. One of the NCO ‘s in my Company was in 2-14th in Somalia at that time. All of us new guys always looked up to him. We were able to see the Black Hawk Down movie before it was released in the theaters on base and boy did that get us all pumped up for when it was our turn to go fight in Afghanistan. I’m 28 and a vet I have stories my dad told me about getting there when the marines did. It’s nice to see other perspectives from a situation he was far away enough to hear everything happening and not knowing what’s going on.
The biggest shock to me while watching this documentary was the part that informed us that the request for armor was denied by the Secretary of Defense, Les Aspin. Looking into this after the conclusion of the documentary I was somewhat consoled to read ``The deaths of U.S. soldiers in Somalia because of inadequate military support led to his [Aspin's] resignation.'' He got off very lightly in my opinion.
@@lonewolf5238Just Like Hitlery Clinton denied the request for aid at Benghazi……”at this point what difference does it make”……. The Clintons have a terrible record taking care of the military if it meant that they might have to answer tough questions.
congratulations and congratulations to the brave Malaysian Army even though their existence at the beginning of the operation was ridiculed.. by the army of another country.. but as a result it was they who managed to bring and save the United States Army
As a medic my first PSG in the 82nd ABN DIV in mid 2001 was with the 10th Mountain in and was part of the rescue unit. It makes a lot of since now why he was so hard on us. He knew what it was like to be in combat. I always just thought he was being an asshole being the young PV2 that I was. Now having served in both Afghanistan and Iraq I understand where he came from. I'm now a SNCO and drive my troops hard also.
I met Donovan L. 'Bull' Briley at OCS, he was a class ahead of me. You'll never meet a more dedicated, professional soldier. We lost a great warrior that day.
Thank you for this. Great to hear the interviews, for sure brings back memories... Norwegian Army, did the 'Mog' 92/93. Thank you to the American friends I met, never spoken to them since unfortunately.
Awesome that General Milley found time for this between looking for white rage and making Female Rangers with penises that have 3 mothers and identify as wolves
Milley is, like many staff officers, a politician. We've seen how that has played out over the last few years. I wouldn't follow him out the tent door.
Seriously... But for us the Malaysians, he's arrogant, he didn't compliment or appreciate our Malaysian Battalion RAMD 19 that went out to save his platoons whilst on UN duty in Somalia 1993. What a jerk.
They will continue their service in your home with shootings, mass rapes and the other atrocities they committed worldwide. I hope you'll think them then.
In the days following. The wounded came to Germany. As a medic. I briefly cared for two of the soldiers. Never forgot about the night they came in. Actually the wounded arrived over two nights. As a young soldier it made an impact that I remember to this day.
@@bubsmpI had a guy with shrapnel from the neck down and blown ear drums. The other was a senior NCO that lost his leg from the knee down. That was the first night. The second night was a blur and my memory of that night is not good. I rode out to Ramstein on the buses the second night to help with the transfer back to Landstuhl. We were definitely in the same place at the same time. Hope all is well for you.
Those men should've had a lot more troops, Apache attack helicopters, Specter Gun ships flying overhead, Even fighter jets if they needed them. And heavy armor on the ground like Tanks and other heavily armored vehicles, not just Hummers. They did the best they possibly could against thousands of armed militia that were high on Khat(Like Cocaine.). I salute all of them. But the Pentagon should never have put them in an unwinnable situation. It could have actually been a lot worse. I remember I was like 17 years old and was working at Pizza hut as a shift supervisor and another employee came in and slapped the daily Newspaper down on the desk and yelled "Look at this Bullshit!!" I looked and saw an American soldier who looked partly burnt and was clearly dead being dragged through the streets of Somalia. We didn't even know US troops were in Somalia. It was and is very sad.

This is a bit difficult to watch. I was attached to 13th MEU(SOC) and we were off the coast days after the battle conducting ops for about 6 months. I have a very good friend who was a pilot with the 160th, have talked to many soldiers there and met and chatted with CWO4 Durant. This takes me back to just how much suffering and tyranny the Somalis had to live through and how furious we all were at the situation. Loading sandbags into 5tons as our only protection and trying work with skeptical UN forces all while knowing what had just happened with ROE that made our jobs even more difficult. We had a "humanitarian" mission but we all wanted some payback. Hindsight is what is but at the time it was such a frustrating scenario. I had been to alot of horrible countries in my career in the Corps but my time Somalia really made me appreciate America and all that we have even more than I had before. Those Americans who died and fought there get my highest respect. True warriors fighting for their brothers on their right and left.

When it comes to military events, the last people you want to listen to are active or retired generals. Lying and making excuses must be a very important subject in West Point.
For me, the movie's really great and it's one of my all time favourite war movies, but looking at the documentary now and realising the full extent of the battle, I feel like the movie fail to do justice to the brutality and severity of the real battle that took place and to the soldiers who fought so valiantly and heriocly, the courage and dedication they showed to go back there for Round 2 to rescue their fellow brothers in arms. And lastly but not the least, to the Malaysian UN soldiers who were not shown/depicted in the movie. After all, BHD is a TV show-worthy battle cropped and compressed down into a 2hr movie. Therefore, it is bound to have some complications and missed out or fail to depict some scenes. I really wish if they make a TV show out of it, showing full detail and scene by scene representation of every event and tidbits that took place on that fateful day.
I asked this question the other day to a friend and was told they'll never do it because it might make America look bad for not being there for there soldiers to help more. Just one person's opinion but had me thinking. Reminds me of the other war film 13 hours I think it's called where was there back up? Sad.
@@becky2235 well, i dont think thats really the point. It depends on the amount of fan base it will gather i.e. people interested in it. I say this coz it doesn’t necessarily have to be American hollywood filming coz as much as i know, most tv shows are by Canadian filmmakers.

The book gives good details about the Malaysians. The advisors to the movie included Rangers and pilots who were in the battle; they asked Ridley Scott about leaving out certain pieces of the battle and he responded that he can only show so much in a 140 minute movie.

@rc59191 most likely if you get assigned to Fort Drum that is where you will end up.
Also conducting the mission in daylight instead of early a.m. that was denied
Exactly. What a Fuckin joke. We would’ve smoked these guys off the bat if prepared
Exactly. The start of USA 20+ year spiral.

I'm same as you bro although i always try to remember that there are men who stand at our borders so that I can live this comfortably
I have met BG (Ret) David and he is an awesome man. Extremely humble man who truly cares about the well being of the people that serve under him. He is a true hero and has my utmost respect.
worst part of this is seeing the man that made a horrible afghan withdrawl to all the rest thanks to all my brothers that kicked ass and all who gave their life you are all but 1 hero's
From uk 🇬🇧 l respect ur service to the fallen and the vet’s ignored god bless you all. This proves the government cares nothing about serving soldiers. Dnt serve yr country protect and serve ur family!
Great video. Too bad Milley is in this. He makes my skin crawl.
Why is that? Just asking not being critical.
Millet has become too political
@@JustAnumbr once you hit colonel you’re going to be political because of the level of influence/responsibility you hold. It’s just how it is unfortunately. Especially at a 4 star general’s position let alone joint chief of staff he literally has a political position.
My hands clenched when I saw Milley. They could have left him out
My exact thoughts.
Thank you to everyone that put this video together but all my gratitude to each and every service member involved. Here's alot of love for you and your families ❤
we had to do the Mogadishu mile every year i was in 2-14 to honor these guys. also 2-14 battalion HQ has a dedicated area for pfc martin with his helmet, boots, and uniform if i remember right.
It’s still there
I'm using my wife's tablet. I spent time in that craphole in the early days of the deployment. I saw all of those places they talked about. I always tell people that the city they shot the movie in was nicer looking then Mogadishu. They had a soccer tournament between all the countries supporting the cluster F, in that stadium.
As I slide down the banister of life, I will always think of Somali as a splinter in my a**.
General Aydid was my uncle, may God have mercy on him. Westerners don't talk about history correctly, but the fact is that no colonial power or other power has ever defeated Somalia. We are one of the bravest nations in the world and every nation suffers defeat and recovers from it. I hope we will come back as a power in the Horn of Africa and the whole world. Long live Somalia.
Amazing doc. Thank you men, the courage you all possess is beyond words and comprehension.
Fighting an entire city is the result of Conducting the mission in broad daylight instead of in the early a.m
It's hard to pick up high level enemy prisoners early in the morning if they meet in the afternoon lol
The courage of the American GI is inconceivable!
Wow, so great ro remember what a REAL Whitehouse Press Conference was like. Asking tough questions and honestly answering them instead of lying.
CLINTON AND BUSH 🤔🤫 GOD BLESS ALL OUT BRAVE SOLDIERS DEAD OR ALIVE. Thankyou.
That was something…
I saluted 100x.
Lest we never forget…
Why is milley in this documentary? As far as I know he wasn't a participant in this operation.
Been waiting for this documentary since ever since.
Thank you for your service and you sacrifice.
General Milley has turned out to be 🗑️. Otherwise thanks for giving insight into what Hollywood left out. Thanks for the survivors who helped set the record straight, and fighting on in the days of the event.
Screw the officials who denied the request for heavy armored vehicles and sending them into a situation in which the “leadership” underestimated.
My friend Rob Kirk was in C co 1/87 the forgotten bastards attached to 2/14. Forgotten again. They went to the Courage 53 wreck a week before good stories.🤣 Lightfighter 🇺🇲
God Bless you guys, your bravery is inspiring! My son is currently serving and so my respect is immense! This is Hero's.
Aloha from Germany and best wishes to your loved ones. Used to live in little Hana 96713 and I have seen paradise. It hurts just thinking about that but I am thankful to the end. Because of all the Aloha and blessings their I believe.
Fake tough guy.
@@DonWan47 how so?
@@densealloy DonWan47 is a keyboard warrior trying to claim none of us who served, actually served. He is trying to say I actually wasn't at Airborne school at Ft. Benning when this all went down. I will never forget being called to a special formation to be told what was happening, while it was happening, and told to be prepared to be shipped out if help was needed.
@@parrothd34 Stolen Valour is a crime, loser.
@@densealloy Dude, you couldn’t payback the loan on a toaster. This was a total American screw up nothing to do with the UN.
Thankyou for your service
Les Aspin should have been dismissed for that decision. Shameful to the core.
Amen. Should be treason.
He has blood on his hands.
He was acting at the direction of the president. The president gives the order and the sod relays it.
Excellent video, thanks for sharing it
MALBATT : MISI BAKARA. BASED ON TRUE STORY. UNTOLD STORY &. UNSUNG HEROES
IF ONLY THE BACKGROUND MUSIC WAS LOUDER AT POINTS
Man, hearing this story from the guys who lived it is pretty intense, I can just imagine how it was for them
Its wild to image such a situation with out any artillery or Armour support and very little air support. The inhabitants of that city played home field advantage far better than average. how they coordinated the roadblocks with out hardly any command structure and zero comms. its amazing that our friendlies were able to pull out with as few casualties as they did.
If you don’t know who Jocko Willink is, you should look his podcast up. He has had 2… maybe 3 guys from “Black Hawk Down” in his show. Mike Durant (downed/captured helicopter pilot) was one of them.
@@markusstewart9298Jacko is hard core himself
It was straight up Hell!
23:25 Destiny.
That’s LEGENDARY.
When it comes to military events, the last people you want to listen to are active or retired generals. Lying and making excuses must be a very important subject in West Point.
Awesome video thank you for making this!!!!
Those big white armoured vehicles were better than anything you had at that time.
im sure it was absolute hell and as scary as things can get. but its what these guys joined up for. they wanted to do the extreme, they wanted to be heroes, and it just so happens with these choices not everybody gets to come back unfortunately. mad respect to all those that were involved and condolences to those that were killed, RIP
Thank you for this.
Absolute heroes and legends! God bless our armed forces 🇺🇸! Thank you for your service!
Enjoyed this story. Thanks for sharing.
Great Doc. So sad to see the state of the American army now or at least the perception it has in Europe and certainly Asia. Afghanastan and the transgender drive in the army is mind boggling. and will take a generation to put right. Wishing you a speedy recovery and to get back to being no 1 again!✊
Real sad that the Hollywood film did not show the true story of this battle far too many think the film is 100% what did take place. Thank you.
Thank you for your service. But I just have one question why is it that the vehicles used were not armoured at all? Tanks, bradley's, etc. Sandbags?????!!! Thats the best US govt can give to the men and women who are fighting?! Geez, Aspen should have been fired right there and then!
They weren't there to fight the CIA put them into a clusterfuck
Thank you for your service!!!
We thank all those who have served!
My Australian friend fought there - The Aussies never had problems with any warlords armies. They just killed every problem the came across! The Warlords stayed clear of the Aussies.
Nothing but pure heroic acts by these American warriors.
Ur dad was a hero....we will alys remember what he did...
