There are people in Puerto Rico that choose to live like this, rustic life in the mountains and by the rivers. They wrap food in banana leaves for flavor, they also harvest wild root vegetables. Mark, you must visit someday!

At risk of being the antagonist of what should be deemed the obvious: Micah has learned more being with his parents/grandparents and interacting with different races/cultures than formal schooling could ever teach him in the same amount of time. Be well and have fun at school Micah!

I enjoy all your channels but the videos I enjoy most are the ones where you give us a glimpse of life off the beaten path (literally). In a strange way, with the pandemic limiting travel, it allowed you to uncover these places even more than before. Joel does a great job of this as well. Some people see the wonder of the differences between people/culture but what I see is that, in fact, we are all very much the same. "Keep on keepin' on".

This is the way of rural Thai society where each month costs no more than 100 usd. They originally made a fishing career in Songkhla Lake. And farming around this lake plain. This is the saying In the water there are fish, in the rice fields of Thailand.
