Hey UA-cam!
Just bought a new 2015 Ford Transit and am getting ready to transfer all my tools. I thought I would make this video to give you guys some ideas before I strip the van and get ready to sell it. I've used this setup for 5+ years and it worked out great! Please comment, rate and subscribe!
I have posted and will keep posting videos of my new 2015 Ford Transit work van setup!
I am a electrician and when I use to work out a can I couldn't keep it clean like that. By far the best of what I have seen.
Im a spark in the uk and I can tell you this is a great set up bro. You can never carry enough part etc. People say they don't have the time to install shelves etc like this, but this type of organisation will buy you time not cost you time. Fantastic.
Lol. You actually deserve to win an award! so organized! So cool!
Can't wait to see your new set up! I've got a ford connect and used many of your ideas all that in a smaller van!
Wow that is beautiful! My grandfather was an electrician, I decided to go HVAC. I love organization, and I have to say that is beautiful! Well done sir!
thank you
I'm amazed how you can fit so much and keep it neat. I like the anti fatigue mat idea. The battery holder is a great idea as well. Thanks for the ideas.
you're welcome
Well done. I have a Ford Transit 250 and will use many of your ideas.
That's awesome dude!! Nice job organizing it man. Gave me some ideas when I get my van. Wish I could just take over yours. Lol.
I love the ladder storage!!! Clever!! :)
That is one clean Organize Van
very cool vid I just bought a 2005 gmc savanna 2500 love the shelving behind the seats
I carry all my tools in my 2015 Nissan Altima. The backseat is basically a workshop lol. Ladder, poles, vices, tools, my trunk is so weighed down. This is one nice rig. Wish i had a truck or a van.
Had to put on the bib a quarter of the way through to catch my drool. Beautiful layout. I work for a utility company here it is a lyses the same van and I am an electrician. I’ve made some minor modifications for organization, but I’m only allowed to do so much since they are leases. Can only aspire to have it look as clean as yours
Very impressed. I got some good ideas from you
Pretty sweet setup
Great. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
Wow. My van looks like a bomb went off in it. Very nice set up.
Nice setup man. I saw a couple of new tricks that I might have to try out in the new van I got at work.
love the foam. i didnt think of that.
Nicest van setup I've seen.
You gave me some good ideas to add to mine
Amazing van!!!!!
Very smart & organized setup you have💡👍🏽
Rashawn T. Thank you my friend very good working
Order and discipline indicate that you are a professional I congratulate you, I admire you. That's being a profecional God bless you God likes order too😃
for sure this department is very useful to as am stuying science and technology
That's a dope van
I always have a problem finding room for all my 12-2 Romex and 14-2 Romex as a residential electrician. I have a Ford E-250 with shelves on one side but I never seem to have enough room for everything your van is a lot neater than mine LOL
The next step is too label all drawers. Kaizen that stuff! Nice set up! You deff spent some time thinking it over!
Very nice.
Brilliant. 👍👍👍👍👍😊
Awesome! I searched for this because my boss has a chevy work van and the thing is a disaster!
im a electrician too, i liked to keep my tools in boxes by the side door. climbing in and out of the van got old.also i would use a cart so i could move every thing at once.every body works different. cood luck
real nice setup, good ideas im looking at vans now and dont know if i should get a express or e250.
I find it amazing how I guy can think he has one of the best tool setups out there (speaking of myself), and then he casually clicks on a random video to see what's out there and then IMMEDIATELY he (me) realizes that he is sooooo terribly mistaken. Man, your setup is suuuweet!!! I am a GC, and I have the same vans, as well as a new Nissan Nv, but my shit is nowhere near where yours is. Helluva inventory you have there too. Damn. Thx.
TheFloorBoys Wait and see how my new ford transit will be set up :) I will be uploading more videos in the future.
This is why I like tool van tours, gives you loads of ideas for building your own and what works for you. I espcially like the zip tie storage and the small "cupboard" behind the wall you've made around 5:50 - 6:05 mark
great job...
El master de la organization
note to self once you become an electrician you will need a lot of miscellaneous stuff lol
FelixF151 One of his most commonly used words!
LOL
Great video! As an electrician I've been unorganized in the past but no more... I'm sick of buying things from home depot that I already have on my Van but can't find!!!
NICE!!
I have a 2017 Chevy express like what you moved out of. Same metal shelving system with slightly different drawer configuration. It's ok, but having moved it twice now from older vans I'm looking for ways to improve my system. I'm pretty organized by the use of tool cases, but I've looked into using some of the modern solutions like the systaniers or something else to allow more dense tool storage.
cool van
for the love of GOD!!! STOP!!! this is an amazing job!!! now you should post a video of your new truck all fitted
something ill do on my day off
Nice work man. I just got my express today. Trying to make a plan for moving all my tools from a mini van into it.
You should see my van lol you would shit your pants
Good job though, I know how much time a day is kept on keeping clean and stocked
Try being organized when you do roofing siding inside work etc,
hey man would like to see your new van set up!
Will be posting it in the near future. Been super busy with business and family. Subscribe and stay tuned
Bravo , mi ai dat ceva idei...
Where did you get those yellow storage bins? Could really use some of them in my van.
I have a question for you. I have a 93 Ford Aerostar and I would like to use the van to install cable for a cable company would my 3.0 v6 liter be able to haul such weight for tools?
i think miscellaneous stuff is this guys favourite word
Where di you go get the drawers from the metal ones?
I would call that a BUG OUT VAN!!!! LOL
I guess you can if you would plan on being able to do any kind of field wiring at a remote location...
Imagine a roll over!!!
Felicitări :)
So how does the new van compare to the old? I'm actually looking at an Express 2500. I'm a remodeling contractor and am ready to dump the truck and trailer
What size inverter did you use for your portable chargers? Also did you put it in the cig lighter, or straight off the battery, or add an additional fuse for it from the control box?
Where did you get the foam for the floor??
aluminum ladder..mmm. I need to know how to make the shelves
I got a van like it but the security cage was a bit*h.how do u take out the shelves without fuc#ing the floor up?
I love this man. Thanks for sharing. Was this something you over time? Is it constantly evolving or did you plan this out from the start?. Anyway's, I really like this setup. Take Care
It was something that kind of evolved over time as I saw fit
Hi there sir !! Thanks for the cool vid I’ve been interested in getting in to comcast to work. Can you make a vid of how is a reg day at your job. Looks interesting and will give us an idea what is to work for Comcast doing what you do.
He's an electrician, not a cable guy. Did you even pay attention?
Great set up fella. I surely hope your van never gets nicked. I would be devastated if it happened to me.
so if I wrap the anti-fatigue mat around my body I won't ever get tired???
Correct.
That stuff is AMAZING!
Wow
Salut, esti roman? Arata bine duba.....sunt putin gelos pt ca ij America aveti acces la mai.multe scule.
Spor la treaba
As electrician we I think we carry more stuff then anyother trade. I have alot more tools then that. I'm. Just not as organized as you. Still working on it. I like the video.
What's the mileage on your van? 6 MPG?
Nice job! Yes. we DO! need a lot of stuff don't we... lol
Omg you’re amazing🤩 My dad is an extremely unorganized construction contractor. I literally think you fit more in your van than he does in his like 3,500 sq ft barn😬 I want to organize his shit so bad but I don’t think he will appreciate me moving his stuff. It drives me crazy. He’s probably wasted thousands buying stuff over again because he’s not organized.
i know im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a method to get back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid lost my account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me.
@Brodie Russell Instablaster :)
@Milo Royce I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Milo Royce It worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much you really help me out!
@Brodie Russell Happy to help xD
Do you think putting a plywood floor down in the back is a good idea? I just received my first work van and need to outfit it as I need (e2 journeyman, mostly residential now, and also becoming a generator tech) so I will have to have a generator tool setup for installs, oil changes and other services, and then house material for new construction and remodeling work. Was planning on the floor so I can build off of it and not worry about screwing into the actual steel of the van. Any tips, thoughts, and suggestions are greatly appreciated!
possibly a good idea for plywood floors....

Metal later osha approved
I run my own van as well, i dont carry near as much though. Holllly.
I am electrician and got the same van.But I had to build up a sub floor to store EMT conduits.Sometimes I have 150 sticks.I saw just one or two pipes in your van.You are not using that or there is a romex area. Here in Chicago area is only EMT.
All dem tools and no toothbrush
Switching vans is the worst.. Upscaling is always a plus though..
When it comes to carpentry you're a pretty good electrician lol joking, looks good.
This is heavy ! Lol but nice set up

u didnt get any flack for using an aluminum ladder? here electricians have to use fiberglass ones with rubber soles. also how do u haul an extension ladder?
I completely understand your point of view with aluminum versus fiberglass ladders. Here is the thing... I don't work on any high voltage power lines or on live circuits while on this ladder. I chose this ladder because it goes from a 6ft - 9ft A frame ladder and extends/converts to a 20ft extension ladder. I wanted to get away from roof racks and the downside of wind noise, less MPG and not being able to go through car washes.
Show the new van

Hardware store?
Perdona mi mal inglés.

LOL
Where the racking of the new van 😁
My devices even in plastic bins just bouncing around by themselves get scratched up I clean them up before using them but sometimes it's a noticeable ding or scratch. The only thing that worked was when they came in there own little box. Those days are over. Some how they need to stop bouncing around Banging into each other is enough to knock the screws out and scratch them up
You can still buy them in Home Depot but they're only sold individually that way and they cost a lot more
Keep them in the case they came in, easiest way I have found.
I know this video is almost 4 years old, but do you happen to recall what kind of gas mileage you got fully loaded?
No sorry I don’t recall
That is a really good looking setup but it's a damn shame that you took the V6 model. The 6.0 V8 is where the power and reliability is at!
miscellaneous stuff everywhere
4:50 hahaha
How can you be a sparky with out a ladder bigger than a step. Don't you have an extension ladder ? Also don't your devices get trashed scratched up in those drawers.. Got mine in Tupperware bins with lids still a mess
The metal step ladder folds out and extends to 20ft. More than enough for what I need. Yes things did get a bit trashed in the metal drawers. I now have everything plastic or wood bins in my new van. Things stay pretty clean
great video and nice racking but........
you open nearly all the drawers apart from 2!? I knew you were gonna do it, now I need to see in the other 2!
Dude they way you were breathing I thought u were bout to have a heart attack

Metal ladders?
hercdiver yes, yes...... I know what you're thinking. Here is the thing though, as a residential electrician you're not usually working in hazardous or high voltage applications where a metal ladder might be an issue. It's the only versatile ladder that I could fit inside the van.
@@danutdlp In Washington State, OSHA does not allow an electrician to use a metal ladder. Just sayin.
Que desórden
are you selling your old van ?
sold already... funny thing is I bought it in 2011 for $5500 and put 75K miles on it. Sold it in 2015 for $6000 with 200K miles... construction is booming here locally and these are very sought after ....
Bro....catch your breath!

"Anti fatigue mat" SMH
We all know what tools he keeps in his van, where does he live???
I live just across the street from the local gun shop and shooting range ;)
One shot one kill!!!
