Great video! I wish I could redo mine now with for example a floating floor with space to slide a ladder in, would have made better use of the space.
Thanks mate. Its always a work in progress and you can always add to what you have got. The floating floor is good but does reduce the racking height available. It works better in a high top van.
A floating floor is handy, managed to get my steps and pop up work bench in on one side and long stuff on the other.
put coloured tape on spanners and sockets, yellow 10mm green 13mm etc much easy

Nice job l used a mixture of timber shelving and lots of tilt bins for storage

great video. thanks. looking at installing some racking myself in my dispatch and was wondering about the locations to fix the racking to. Not sure whether to build from wood myself around my stuff or buy a metal one. That video of yours was good as it gives an idea. Thanks

Great video and a really well laid out vehicle, but it must be a magnet to thieves. I think every tradesman's van these days needs at least some secure storage in the form of steel vaults, or very secure overnight parking...

Any ideas for hose storage. I currently have most of my smaller stuff hanging on hooks but it does my head in hearing it slap about. Also work out your 10 most used tools and put them on a "quick rack" just inside the door. In my case 17, 19,22, 24. 2 of each on a rack on the side of the box most jobs I dont even have to open a draw.

I’ve got a floating floor for 2 sets of steps, the days of keep Tying steps on the roof rack multiple times a day are long gone.
It's a great way to utilise the van space, we have done many with spaces for ladders or ply sheets, even with underfloor drawers or a combination. Thanks for watching. Mark.
Hi man, I see in the UK you have to be left handed to use the writing pad ;-) Never thought about it, because in Europe you drive on the other side and so it is much simpler to use it. I personally write things down during the driving.

@@raysimkiss8031 Well over that, but I have had Mac and Snap on boxes that haven't lasted half as long. Its well worth the investment in the long run.

Inverter running off two batteries. One in the back and the normal one under the hood
I saw one and it was just hooked up to a generator when needed

Are you still a mobile mechanic?
Yes mate, still on the tools. Had to make that my main business for a while as all the factories closed but racking side is building again.
