I’m doing regional Costco runs for JB hunt out of Salt Lake City. We have a whole new fleet of new heavy haul trucks. Extra drop axle on each truck. We also just got a whole new fleet of quad axle jb hunt trailers. The trailers have 2 drop axles. I run to Boise Idaho and back to Salt Lake City. Home every night. Been a consistent $1800 a week after taxes . I get 2 days off at home. Beautiful runs
You should do a more in depth video of how training otr with a mentor with cr england was. What was the sleeping arrangement how many hours did yall drive? Where did yall go? What states
Thank you for the video. JB Hunt sounds like a great company who takes care of their drivers and appreciates them. Thank you again it was very helpful.
Damn, wished I would have checked out JB after I left Swift, I quit them as I was (going broke) was OTR and spent a lot of time sitting either loading or unloading. But of course, this was back in the mid-90s when the OTR pay was .25cents PMD. I doubt it was this good with JB back then.....but good luck and hope you do well with them.
I got hired through them with a family referral program and they paid fot my school and are giving me 6 weeks of paid training. I'm on the weekend wrap as well. I have really liked what I have heard so far 🤙
nice video man, im going to be doing intermodal as well, i have my orientation next week and ill be based out of Chicago. ill be doing regional, i think Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan. ill be home 2 days a week. they SAY i can pick my days off but they cant be saturday and sunday but they can be friday and saturday. but i assume ill be with a trainer before i get on my own but im excited about it. and yes you need only 3 months experience! which is good because thats all i have lol
What is the pay? They are quoting like 82K or 86K in my area where I would be applying, I am with Prime INC in TNT but plan on going over after 3 months experience but sometimes grass isn't greener on the other side so tryna find details.
Yo what up my guy…I’m on a waiting list for South Gate Intermodal. Fresh out of school, zero experience. I’m been clean for 5 months now(weed). I heard you say they do a hair follicle test and urine drug test? I think I should be good right. And what’s the teasing pay? They told me $200 a day. I heard alot of good from a lot of people coming in with no experience. Thank you.
Was in the same boat as you bro. Depends how long u smoked for and how often you cut your hair. To be absolutely sure, I went to CVS and got a “Hair Confirm” Test and sent out a sample, paid about $80 total for the kit and the test and thankfully it was clean. Better to know then to fail the test and have it on ur record. Just my opinion.
I am currently on the waiting list at jb Hunt for the San Bernardino Intermodal. I am freshly out of school. Do you know aprox how long is the wait by any chance? I did the phone interview but the dont give a time frame. Also, do you know if they still do a sign up bonus in 2023? Recruiter didnt mentioned that. Nice video, thanks.
I will admit some locations are a bit difficult to park in but you will park in several spots throughout your shift that the technique will get easier. I suggest letting your trainer know during your 2 weeks with them that way you feel more comfortable once you’re on your own
This is helpful. It’s so hard for me because I have a 13 and 16 year old. Trying to make money but I don’t want to be gone. I’m thinking the best route for me maybe c r England since I can’t afford cdl training already passed my permit on my own). Then in 6-12 months find some like intermodal
You can get your own permit just go take the theory class then go get your permit and go to school wherever if looking for good company HALVOR LINES out of superior WI they will pay you a 1000 dollars a week doing training
They being calling me but I want to finish my 3 months exp. My recruiter said naaa you only need 2 1/2 i have two accounts for you, el super and Burlington 23$ hr. 150miles rad.
You mentioned in the video that they took someone with three months of experience.. but do you know by any chance if they take drivers with zero experience?
I work for Jb Hunt and am a driver Mentor. I run on a dedicated account in California. Jb Hunt is hiring drivers right out of driving school. Length of time with a trainer depends on an individuals progression.
@@jreignz yeah that’s what I did things may have changed since I got my CDL because I was turned down a lot due to lack of experience but everyone is in need now so best of luck to you
Yes I am but you need to work 5 days 9 hours a day minimum to receive that bonus every week and I honestly have not been hitting that consistently:( (just because somedays I leave after just 8 days ect.)
