The pay was just the last straw. I don't mention the other little reasons in the video but they were not jb hunts fault! Just a long series of unlucky events that got me really stressed.
Brother you should really check into hub group intermodal division! Real good money there. Also! I’ve been to the sy yard too! It’s so confusing in there..
I’m with Jb hunt now, Semi local, out In the truck for two. Nights a week but those days out in the truck are spaced out. The other 3 days are all local home every night. 1640 a week before taxes.
Damn bro, sucks to hear that. I'm lined up to start with jb hunt, the San Bernardino yard on the 26 of this month. Did the driver have anything good to say about the yard there or did he say to stay away? Best of luck with your new baby 👍🏼
JUST SPOKE TO ANOTHER DIFFERENT INTERMODAL COMPANY DRIVER, HE SHOWED ME HIS PAYSTUBS HE’S CONSTABLE CONSTANTLY MAKING $2,200-$2,700 for a 5 day week 45-55 hours. w2…benefits and all. I feel there are companies looking for safe drivers out there.
Lol ya JB Hunt intermodal drivers out of LA terminals are the highest paid in the state. I worked at jb hunt for almost 3 years in San Bernardino and the most I made in a day was 350 because I sat waiting to get loaded for 9 hours
I'll be working there starting the 26th of this month. What can you tell me to expect while there? I dont really have experience so I'm hoping to get that there. Recruitment laid it out to me, it sounds doable for me but won't know until I get there. All positive or negative feedback would be appreciated, thanks.
I work in Barstow yard the driver that told u to stay in south gate was right. If u don't work in the LA area u will make less coming towards San Bernardino
I'm an ex-JBHT fleet and account manager 2011-19. Even for managers the pay in certain regions is just bad. The company had these really poor metrics for "regional pay differences" where if you were in the LA Basin or the 6 counties of the Bay you were Region 4 and had a 10% COL bump, but if you were in Sacramento/Stockton or the IE you were either a Region 3 or 2. If you're in the Midwest/Midsouth, it's pretty good. In the west (Especially anything remotely Bay Area) we had manager turnover in a bad way. I am sorry to hear that the San Bernardino ramp switch didn't work out. Hope things are well with that baby and with car hauling. If you are hauling Teslas and you end up through Lathrop, I might just see you there.
I got bad blood with them i put a 2 week notice in they got mad never gave me another load so i quit the same day then they kept my last check and when i called about it they acted as if i didn’t do no work for a whole week
yes my brother i’m in the same process… as i comment on this topic i’m in the process of returning the truck with no explanation on my end they good but there’s just too many misunderstandings with these dispatch
The many times I went to a pick up and it was canceled. The amount of times I drove 90+ miles to pick up only to figure out its already been picked already.
Hey dr3am can you let us know the name of the car hauling company you will be working for? I’m interested in it as well. I’m also going through a similar situation. I work the southeast region out of Palmetto Georgia. I will be moving to NC soon and have been on the job wait list (since February)to get transferred to an NC terminal. I think I’m going to take the initiative and find out if the pay scale is different than what I’m getting now. Thanks for sharing bro! Stay up, and congrats to you and the Ms.
